故事就像是个斯蒂芬金小说的大杂烩,opening用的那个镜头完全就是闪灵的开场嘛~主线挺不错,剧情中穿插的TV SHOW让我大呼过瘾,B级片趣味十足。

Alan Wake is not a flawless game. The combat system is entertaining at first but its magic is killed by unnecessary and numerous action segments. Still the game is a very atmospheric adventure of a very rare kind.

Another good Remedy game, fits along side their previous good games of Death Rally - Max Payne and Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne.

Not only was the game play fun with quite interesting mechanics of Light VS. Dark, the story line got me interested to the very end.

And the end of the story is where the entire presentation falters.
Slight cliffhanger, no solid end.
According to numerous websites, there were plans on an Alan Wake sequel, but that didn't due to 'not enough sales' says Mr. Microsoft Games. Which is a pity.

Otherwise, a good ride till the sudden stop.
A good buy indeed.

In Alan Wake you take up the role as a writer named...Alan Wake. After his wife goes missing you set out to find her while a Dark Presence haunts the town of Bright Falls.

In Alan Wake you fight against darkness, and I really love that. Armed with a flashlight and a revolver you make your way through Bright Falls and it's surrounding mountains and forests.

The eviroments and the scenery is outstanding and it really improves the light vs darkness theme the game has. The story is fantastic. Really now, it's really good and doesn't give everything away directly, so you might have to reflect on what happened. It will still leave you very satisfied.

The combat is pretty cool but it can become very tedious after a while as it can feel like you're doing the same thing over and over again. But the supplies are limited so it really gives it this somewhat survival feeling.

Alan Wake is not a perfect game, It's close but not perfect.

- Fantastic story and theme
- Great enviroments and scenery

- The combat, it can become repetitious but I wouldn't abastain from playing the game because of this.

Alan Wake shows off some nice dark grizzly graphics and a new gameplay feature where your flashlight is your best friend to ward off monsters. While Alan Wake is an action horror game, I found the action to not be the most fluid action in these types of 3rd person games. The storyline was good, though not fantastic by any means. While I'd recommend playing this game, I wouldn't place it in my top list of games you should play. Play this if you enjoy the horror/action genre, or else move on.

A nice Twin Peaks-esque atmosphere makes this a great Halloween experience. Unfortunately it's marred by a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ combat system which will test your patience several times over. Add to this that our protagonist can't sprint for more than 10 meters without having a seizure, or jump from a chair without breaking his neck, and we end up with a title you should buy on a sale, play once for the story, and on easy difficulty if you value your sanity.

What can I say about Alan Wake? Its an interesting game by the guys who did Max Payne, and it shows; Alan Wake is a story focused action thriller, much like Max Payne, but instead of being a neo-noir crime thriller set in New York City, Alan Wake is a supernatural thriller (though some people might call it horror, i'm a little hesitant to call it such, since it's not really scary) set in the fictional town of Bright Falls, Washington. Though it does have some shortcomings, ultimately, Alan Wake is a engrossing piece of fiction which does it's best to recapture the cinematic storytelling of Max Payne, and for the most part, it delivers.

The game is visually impressive, with lighting being both stunning and a key part of the gameplay, and models being fairly well detailed. The shadowy particle effects when the enemies show up is neat, and overall the game exudes atmostphere. The musical score is decent, though utimately forgettable.

Gameplay is probably the weakest aspect of Alan Wake, but it's still suprisingly solid. It has your standard set of third person controls, but what it adds is it's light mechanic. Enemies in the game cannot be killed unless they are weakened by light first. This can be from your torch (flashlight), a flare gun, or really any light source lying around. Enemies won't attack you under street lamps for instance, though often, to continue, you have to go out into the darkness and fight the enemies. there are some puzzley section in the game, but they aren't too difficult to figure out, but it's worth mentioning.

Where Alan Wake really shines is in it's narrative, but moreso how it tells this narrative. While at first narrration by a Stephen King-esque character seems like it wouldn't be quite so interesting, the delivery is great. When things start to go wrong in Bright Falls, the atmosphere compliments the narratation. It works quite well, and in additon, splitting up the game into segmented chapters also adds to the Twin Peaks feel to the game. The story has plenty of twists and turns, and the dialogue is written well enough to keep you engaged. While the ending is somewhat dissapointing, Alan Wake's story (moreso it's storytelling) is excellent and will keep you engrossed until the end.

If you like narrative driven games, or you like supernatural thrillers reminiscent of Stephen King or Twin Peaks, Alan Wake is definitely a recommendation.

Ready for a novel?

Inspired by Alan Wake here comes my best attempt.

I bought Alan Wake two summers ago on the Steam sale, thinking that it looked good, it had an interesting story, and it wasn't a typical horror game. So you might ask why did it take over 16 months to finish? Was it because I was super busy with life? No, not especially as I can always find a few hours during the week. Was it because there are other games that took up my time. Yes, but not because I valued them over good old Alan.

You see it took me only about 2 minutes of the game to realize that this would be a struggle the likes of which have rarely been seen outside of Star Wars. To begin, 3rd person games have difficulty with their camera controls most of the time. Alan took this to the extreme with its constant cut scenes which change the angle and expect you to turn and adjust within half a second of regaining control. The camera control improves when the game gives you access to vehicles. Mostly because the camera becomes static and you're too busy struggling with the driving controls of the cars.

But the thing that caused me to quit playing the game 4 times was the decision to give Alan the stamina of a 400 lbs 70 y/o grandma. Some of the fun of a game is finding your own way to solve the puzzles, or to deal with the boss fights. But with Alan Wake you were forced time and again to have to kill every single bad guy, every single time to progress.

So why did they limit your character with such abismal stamina? Was it staying true to the setting? "Alan is a writer, he won't be in very good shape" Maybe, however, you'd think that in an scenario where your wife has been taken and weird shadow-ie things are chasing your with axes you'd be able to sprint more than 10 feet. I'm in pretty lousy shape most of the time, but the two times a year where I attempt to start an exercise routine I am able to run 5 or 6 blocks before I collapse.

Were the developers trying to give the player a better experience with the limited stamina? Maybe, but there were so many other issues: camera, driving, dodging mechanics, overly exact looting, etc that made the game difficult to enjoy why would they waste their time on stamina?

So, was anything in Alan Wake done right? Yes, the cinematics were great, the character modling was awesome. The story was fresh and interesting. I particularly enjoyed the sweeping camera shots and the seeing the layout of the city.

Excellent framework for a game, I just wish they had put in a few more weeks work to tighten up all the shoddy bits.

Truthfully, I didn't know what to expect when I first got into Alan Wake. It looked like your standard "point-flashlight and run" sort of horror game. I was pleasantly surprised, however. Here is my rundown:

I am getting this out of the way as quickly as possible. The game looks absolutely stunning. The atmosphere is great, and the lighting features are wonderful. You instantly know where to go when you see lighting. I loved how this game looked.

Very unique. Unveiling messages with the flashlight was a great idea. Likewise, certain puzzles were done fantastically. That being said, these unique ideas constantly were redone in some fashion or another to where it started to feel very overdone by the end of the game. However, it was an enjoyable experience, even up to the end of the game.

Pretentious. Very pretentious. However, Alan Wake is a writer. He will never let you forget that he is a writer, so the player shouldn't be surprised when the game has a very overly-artistic and dramatic feel to it. It's annoying, at times, but not overtly so.

The game is great for what it is. I'd highly recommend it for a playthrough. You might find yourself getting tired of the repetition towards the end, but the payoff is very worth it.

If you would like to look at the game before you buy it, feel free to check out my let's play of the game:

Oh my, this was far better than I expected, even for a console-to-PC port! The adventure was amazing, and the combat was usually intensely fun! Being assaulted by four shadowy axemen? Flash-BANG you're done. :P

One of my favorites of all times.

It's not a lake, it's an ocean!

Alan Wake, a broken writer who had a few good hits, is sucked into a dark fantasty adventure fighting against residents of a formal idyllic town. The nature of this game is a fusion between gaming and a TV series (espacially looking similar to Twin Peaks). Great gameplay, great story and a hellish good piece of a soundtrack!

You ever have a dream where something is chasing you, and you just keep running and running to get away from it? That's pretty much what it feels like to play this game.

8/10 Really good survival-horror title. It's worth the full price, but I have seen it go on sale for 90% off, so keep that in mind.

Alan Wake is the personification of the B horror game. Awful acting? Check. Laughable plot? Check. Low production values? At times (though the final quarter of the game is pretty impressive.) If you can look past it's low points it's a very solid, entertaining action-suspense game with a sprinkling of survival-horror on top.

My only complaint with the game is how the designers chose to constantly revoke your stockpile of weapons at every turn, instead of taking the time to balance progression properly. At each act, and sometimes more often that that, you're stripped of all the weapons, ammo, and upgrades you've acquired and have to start fresh. Not a deal breaker, but lazy from a design standpoint, and annoying after 6 episodes. All in all though this isn't a big deal, and doesn't detract from the enjoyment of the game.

I think half the people that review games for there jobs are borderline lazy (maybe they play 10 mins and give a review) or stupid this game is HIGHLY repetitive the same god damn enemies everytime and when they think your getting bored of the typical man bad guy (there are the big guys and little guys and also the speedy guys...just for variation, ALL THE SAME GUY) they literally start throwing objects at you...... I read a review on metacritic and this is why earlier I said lazy, the "critic" said this game is "open world" thats absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the part he reviewed must have been a pick left or right but it leads you on the same path part which the game has a few, but its far from open world its super linear and throw in annoying bad guy fight to the next bad guy fight with 4 diffent guns, and flashbangs thats not a whole lot of weapon variety, now IMO I think the flashlight should have killed the badguys I mean they are based out of darkness, and why for the love of god do these guys constantly have to come out from behind rocks/trees?? The developer should have made them corpses on the ground and the darkness comes along an possess them but I digress I have played for about 4-5 hours and am getting super bored in every chapter the story falls flat girl gets kidnapped and the game constantly uses it to string you along all well the cops are after you for god knows why. I do like the engine and I do like the narration but I would have to recommened this game only if your super curious or you get it for cheap.

I had high hopes for this, but honestly this game is so linear that you're basically just following a story, and the controls are not intuitive at all. If you want to watch a story line evolve like a movie and feel like you're not in the driver's seat, the this is for you. If you actually want to play a live action game, don't make this purchase.

Alright let me start off by saying this game isn't horrible.Theres some aspects to it that i really liked. It has great graphics and a great story line.Sadly thats really its only good points. The combat is way to hard and you'll find yourself fighting the same enemies over and over again which makes it get boring quick!Perhaps if there were more than one enemy i would have liked the game more. Also people made this sound like its a horror game and i assure you it's not. If you insist on buying this id say make sure you buy it on a sale otherwise you'll regret it.
