[1.1.0] Organic Matters & Rescue Team

Organic Matters (free) and Rescue Team (€1,99), detailed below, are now available!

The prison hulk “Success” has mysteriously crashed. Uncharted part of the galaxy? Unknown planet? When everything goes awry, who you gonna call? The Rescue Team!
Meet Sasha, Zugma and Wes, the funky heroes assigned to the "Success" mission. Failure is obviously not an option.

This new exciting content pack available for €1,99 on Steam.

[ADDITIONS] Rescue Team

  • Added 3 new Heroes, with a really refreshing gameplay:
    • Wes Davoun, the radio operator:
      • He's a very good operator and one of the best support characters of the game. Thanks to his radio skills he can buff all heroes on the floor.
      • Special Transmission (passive skill): operating a resource module raised to an art form. Depending on which resource module you are operating, it will provide a different buff to all heroes on the floor:
        • When operating a Food module, provides health regeneration to all heroes on the floor.
        • When operating an Industry module, provides attack power to all heroes on the floor.
        • When operating a Science module, provides attack power to all minor modules on the floor.
      • Good Morning Auriga (active skill): movement speed buff for all heroes on the floor. When the whole team has to rock and roll!
      • Urgent Call (active skill): make an urgent phone call to change what will happen in the next room you’ll open, and force a positive event to happen. When you want anything but trouble behind the next door.
    • Zugma Walker, the bulldozer operator:
      • Zugma, driving her bulldozer, is the first übermassivetanky operator!
      • Recycling Beast (active skill): transform every monster killed into a random resource (except Dust). Not everybody can turn roadkill into resources!
      • Steamroller (passive skill): reduces the movement speed penalty when carrying the Crystal. Zugma Walker is a very slow character but when she's carrying the Crystal she becomes one of the fastest characters in the game.
      • Secret Compartment (passive skill): she can keep a part of the Dust from a floor to another. That little place where cops and customs officers never look.
    • Sasha Chokyo, the trainer:
      • With Sasha you gotta grab’em all! Indeed, you can train any monsters of the game! When you’ve got a monster as a pet, it can deal damage to other monsters. Moreover, it can even level up by killing other monsters! Take care of your pet by feeding them Food.
      • Heel! (active skill): tames the most powerful monster in the room. An order even monsters will obey.
      • Table Scraps (passive skill): share a part of your Food when healing Sasha with the tamed monster. One way to keep your pet healthy.
      • Attack Dawg (passive skill): share a part of the hero’s attack power with the trained monster. Your pet is every bit as vicious as you are.
  • Added 2 new Hurnas monsters, from the Endless Legend’s universe:
    • The Hunter: always stalking the weakest hero of your group, it’s an archer that attacks slowly but deals heavy damages. Take care of your operators!
    • The Warden: a crazy spinning zone damage dealer. Don’t keep all your heroes in one place, or lower your head to dodge his club!
  • Added 1 new Major Module, the Field Medic:
    • It reduces healing costs on the floor,
    • It increases heroes and NPC’s defence on the floor.
  • Added 4 new items:
    • Heavy Engine: provides attack power, reduces movement speed and grants the Steamroller passive skill.
    • Secret Pocket: provides defence and gives the Secret Compartment passive skill.
    • Rescue Kit: provides attack power, wit and health regeneration.
    • Training Kit: provides attack power, and gives the ability to operate.

[ADDITIONS] All versions – G2G content

  • Added a new spaceship, the Organic Pod: [G2G]
    • This pod is an intellectual living creature, so take care of her like a member of your crew. Remember, she likes red wine, boiled shrimp with sauce, classical music and pictures of kittens.
    • Gameplay effects:
      • Creatures are faster.
      • Modules can’t be repaired.
      • Powered rooms:
        • Can’t be unpowered,
        • Deal damage to modules and artefacts at every turn,
        • Reduce monsters’ defence by 100%,
        • Provide +0.5 Food per turn.
  • Added a new Hero, Rosetta QV1819: [G2G]
    • Egocentric passive gameplay: attack power and defence bonus per mob in the room, so bring it!
    • Tower of Babble (active skill): within a limited period of time, all monsters with less than 25% health points explode instantly dealing zone damages to all the surrounding monsters. An uninterrupted flow of multi-syllabic words would confuse even the most enraged enemy.
  • Added 3 new monsters, the Vultus: these 3 new monsters are quite insignificant damages dealers, but they are nasty gameplay breakers!
    • Trash: they spread into the dungeon and slow minor modules’ attack speed.
    • Debuffer: slows a hero’s attack and movement speed.
    • Vultu: it has a chance to spawn in a random unpowered room at the beginning of a turn. Kill it before it vanishes at the end of the timer and you’ll be rewarded with a Dust loot. So hurry up! [G2G]
  • Added 2 new minor modules:
    • Biomass Factory: a minor module that converts dead monsters into Industry.
    • Biomass Cannery: a minor module that converts dead monsters into Food.
  • Added 8 new items from the Endless Legend universe:
    • Executive's Armband: % odds to trouble the targeted monster.
    • Cheater's Armband: % odds to poison the targeted monster.
    • Antigrav Trinket: boosts the movement speed but lowers defence, useful for Crystal carrying.
    • Self-Help Buds: boosts wit, defence and attack power.
    • Shanty Singer: boosts defence of all heroes in the room.
    • Brainwave Bracers: boosts health regeneration depending on number of mobs in the room.
    • Fred's Fixer: adds wit, boosts repair speed.
    • Drug-o-matic: boosts health regeneration and defence.
  • Added controller support
  • Added a new ending sequence

  • Fixed several desynchronisation issues: the multiplayer mode should now be more stable
  • Fixed a bug that occurred upon finding a new item: the inventory now properly opens if you click on the notification
  • Fixed an issue with the visual effects on monsters or heroes, which are now hidden when the room is affected by the EMP event
  • The Keeper can now attack unrecruited heroes
  • The game is now paused when opening the Album by clicking on a notification
  • Fixed the tactical map main background animation
  • Fixed an issue with the item “Time of Sands” which was duplicated in some situations after loading a multiplayer save
  • Removed the merchant’s health regeneration
  • Player names are now visible during a multiplayer game
  • All impact VFXs are now displayed both on the client and server side during a multiplayer game
  • The Crystal is now displayed on the tactical view while it’s carried by a hero
  • The option menu can now be closed using the Escape key
  • Fixed several animations on heroes and monsters
  • Fixed an issue with DX9 and the lighting system making rooms very dark despite powering them

Have fun!

Organic Matters - Free Update

Hello, Dungeon explorers!

AmpliMath announced it two weeks ago, we showcased it last week during our livestream, now is time to delve a little more into the content brought by the Organic Matters update, available on November 24th for PC! This content is the result of G2G votes from the last few months.

The new Organic pod expands and takes hold in rooms as they are powered. As a result, rooms cannot be unpowered. Due to its living nature, it slowly damages (digests?) modules built into powered rooms. However, it also generates food per each powered room, as well as reduces drastically mob defense in these rooms. Give it a try and tell us what you think!

Meet QV1819, also known as Rosetta, diplomatic robot on a mission. This adorable little critter seems weak at first, but hides a potential only unlocked when facing large groups of monsters.

These bad boys are actually quite harmless... until they're surrounded by other monsters. The smaller Vultu keeps modules busy without attacking. The larger one leeches stats off of your Heroes, and the largest, staying only temporarily before exploding, gives dust upon being destroyed... but you have to be quick about it! We expect these monsters to spice up your encounters quite a bit.

To keep in line with the living matter theme of the update, we're adding two minor modules that recycle destroyed enemies into industry and food!
We're proud of announcing that the game now supports Gamepad input! A standard X360 controller will do the trick, but fancier controllers should work too!
Finally, the game is now offering a long-awaited ending sequence, that ties in with the end screen. No more details on this, you'll have to exit the dungeon to see it!

That's all for today. Stay tuned for more on Dungeon of the Endless - Rescue Team!

“There’s nothing to rank alongside it. Influences and borrowings be damned – it stands alone and is as brilliantly designed, challenging and cunning a package of ideas and aesthetic choices as anything I’ve seen this year.”
Wot I Think – Rock, Paper, Shotgun

“Don’t be fooled by the simplicity of its pixels: no individual element of Dungeon of the Endless is especially complicated, but together they form a fiendish and unforgiving challenge. If you’re willing to take that on then it makes it more than worthwhile, borrowing from several genres to create something that feels unique - as well as bursting with personality and smart choices.”
8.1/10 – IGN

“From its setting to its design and aesthetic, Dungeon of the Endless feels like a game built for me. It’s tough and unforgiving, but it’s also fair. Despite all the deaths I spent climbing through the dungeon’s floors, I slowly mastered the game. That’s a testament to the roguelike genre, and it’s why I like tangling with it so much.”
4.5/5 – Game Revolution

Sobre este jogo

A few hundred condemned criminals were being shipped to the Auriga system on board the prison hulk “Success”. While this was presented as a chance to earn back their place in society by working hard for the common good, they understood that in fact they would be slave labour, sent to colonize an unexplored planet. All they knew about Auriga Prime was what the probes told them: it had water, temperate zones, plant life, and plenty of metals in the crust.

In fact, the planet Auriga once hosted a major settlement of the galaxy-travelling ancestors known as the Endless. In addition, the planet was still orbited by a functioning (and well cloaked) defensive system, which sprang eagerly to life upon the arrival of the Success. Within a few minutes, the ship was nothing but a few large chunks of metal falling toward the planet.

Every set of holding cells also functioned as an escape pod, so the ship let itself disintegrate and the surviving prisoners fell bruised but (temporarily) alive and (momentarily) safe to the planet below. Safe, that is, until they realized that they had crashed through some sort of facility of the Endless, down to a sub-basement so deep and ancient it might as well be called a dungeon…

Dust: obter salas acesas.

Vale a pena ler esses diálogos.

- Simplicidade;
- Dinâmica;
- Engraçado;
- Estratégia necessária;
- Utilizar o herói;
- Roguelike.

O que pode melhorar:
- Encontrar mais surpresas nas salas e andares;
- Mais cápsulas para iniciar o jogo;
- Itens com habilidades únicas;
- Selecionar modos sem precisar de cápsulas e ter mais modos de dificuldade.

Nota final 9/10
Dungeon of the Endless é dinâmico, divertido e simples. VALE A PENA JOGAR!

A game where strategy is life, every pixel in the game is another reason to buy it.

+ Great level design, and characters "Also has characters from tf2".
+ Lovely soundtracks, effects and animations.
+ Very challenging rogue-like that requires thinking and fast responses.
+ A lot of characters to choose from, each with their own abilities and equipment.
+ Find, levelup and upgrade your characters using your resources.
+ Randomized levels that brings out a lot of monsters and holds a lot of secrets.
+ Several ships to unlock, each containing either a new game mode or gives perks and vices.
+ Really addictive to play on single-player since its randomized and hard.
+ Very fun to play with friends on multiplayer with a PeerToPeer system and up to 4-players.
+ A lot of secrets to unlock, stories to discover and pictures to add to the gallery.

- It uses physx, so you might get some poor fps performance on old systems.
- Multiplayer is really fun, but it sucks that if I join another host it will overwrite my previous save with my friends.
- Same thing but for singleplayer, it sucks that I cant create a new game without overwriting my previous one.
Example, I have a save in endless mode floor 15+ , and I want to start a new game to try out the other spaceship perks, but at the sametime I really don't want to delete that endless mode save ....And devs stated they're working on the console port so I dont think this will change anytime soon.

Rating 9/10, Very addictive and so initiative, has a lot of content to unlock and so many things to achieve.
Imo, its fun to play alone as much as its fun to play with others.
I highly recommend buying the crystal edition, it unlocks a couple of new modes and just supports these awesome devs.

This game is a hidden gem. Complete diamond in the rough. My best friend bought this for me, and I would have never anticipated the amount of joy it has brought me. It's another game from the Endless trilogy, that's an amazing combination of tower defense, dungeon crawler, and turn based roguelike games. It also has an amazing retro pixel look, which is very aesthetically pleasing. I've honestly never played anything like this. My only complaint is that I didn't anticipate it to be so highly addictive. I am currently suffering from "one more door" syndrome. There is no cure. In all seriousness, I cannot give this game enough praise or recommendations. At this point, I will buy anything Amplitude Studios creates. 10/10
