What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“COLLAPSE COMPANY is a cooperative, procedurally generated dungeon-exploration horror roguelike FPS.
The game features a complex structure in which multiple systems—such as procedural dungeon generation, enemy AI, difficulty scaling, and network synchronization—interact closely with one another.

Testing these interconnected systems solely within our small development team is not sufficient to fully understand how they behave under real player conditions.
For this reason, we believe it is essential to gather feedback from actual players in order to continuously improve game balance, horror presentation, cooperative mechanics, and network quality.

Elements such as dungeon structure, difficulty adjustments based on party size, and the behavior of online co-op sessions can only be properly evaluated and optimized through real-world player testing.
With this in mind, we chose to release COLLAPSE COMPANY in Early Access so that we can continue development in close collaboration with the community and work toward delivering the most polished version of the game possible.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect the Early Access period to last approximately 8 to 12 months.
However, this timeframe may change depending on the scale of the systems we plan to implement and the amount of feedback we receive from players.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan for the full version to include the following improvements and features:

- A fully implemented multi-layer dungeon progression framework
- Boss enemies that appear at designated rounds
- Expanded dungeon mechanics
- Additional weapons and items
- Refined difficulty scaling and risk/reward balance
- Improved multiplayer stability
- Various optimization and UI enhancements
- Additional narrative elements

Our intention is to work closely with the community to create a more polished and immersive horror experience.
Please note that these plans may evolve based on development needs and player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version includes online co-op for 1 to 4 players, six types of procedurally generated dungeons, basic enemy encounters, item scavenging, and the core risk-and-reward management system.

While the available content is stable and fully playable, development is still ongoing in the following areas:

- Adjustments and additions to certain enemy AI
- Additional dungeon mechanics
- Network performance optimization
- Weapon balance adjustments
- Preparation for new stages

The game already offers several hours of playable content, but we are continuing to refine and expand it to achieve a higher level of overall quality.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to increase the price gradually depending on the scale of new content and features added during the Early Access period.

However, the timing of any price changes and the final pricing will be determined carefully based on the development progress and the feedback we receive from players.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“During the development of this title, we consider the feedback and gameplay data we receive from players to be extremely valuable in shaping future improvements.

After the Early Access launch, we plan to use the Community Hub provided by Steam to collect and review player feedback.
We will also check the Community Hub on a daily basis to ensure that feedback is reviewed promptly.
Through the Hub, players will be able to share bug reports and suggestions for improvement, and we will carefully review all submissions while prioritizing the most important and actionable feedback.

In addition, the feedback gathered through the Community Hub will directly inform our development decisions, including adjustments to enemy AI and difficulty settings, considerations for new features, and the prioritization of future updates.

This title is intended to grow together with the feedback of our players, and your cooperation will play an essential role in shaping the direction of the game.

We will continue to work closely with the community throughout the Early Access period, striving to deliver an even better gameplay experience.”

About This Game

“COLLAPSE COMPANY” is a co-op horror roguelite action FPS for 1–4 players, centered around repeated expeditions into underground dungeons.

Your primary objective is to activate the Particle Accelerator Reactor located at the deepest level of the dungeon and escape alive.

Each round sends players into a procedurally generated dungeon, where they must explore, search for scattered items, collect resources, and manage their inventory while progressing deeper underground.

Corridor layouts, room placements, item locations, and enemy spawns change every round, requiring players to adapt to new routes and unpredictable situations each time.

The dungeon is populated by multiple enemy types with distinct behaviors: some close in while out of sight, others ambush from walls or blind spots, and some remain hidden, waiting patiently for the right moment to strike. Enemy behavior dynamically reacts to player movement and positioning.

The environment itself is also a constant threat. Darkness, narrow corridors, confined spaces, environmental hazards, traps, and various gimmicks all add to the risk.

Resources and materials discovered during exploration can be brought back to the base, sold for currency, and used to prepare supplies or purchase equipment for future runs.

The game does not feature a fixed final stage or ending. Instead, it progresses in rounds.

After activating the Particle Accelerator Reactor, players must evacuate the dungeon under a strict time limit. The game continues until the team fails to escape or is completely wiped out. By challenging increasingly dangerous areas, players can earn greater rewards at higher risk.

A save system is implemented, allowing players to carry over their money and owned weapons into subsequent expeditions.
