Deadly Quiet - Galactic Crows

Hello Survivors,

We’ve been made aware that players in Russia are currently unable to create rooms or host multiplayer sessions in Deadly Quiet and other games using the same dedicated servers.
After a thorough investigation, we’ve determined that this issue is caused by certain Russian ISPs (Internet Service Providers) blocking access to our server infrastructure. Unfortunately, this is not something we can fix on our side, as it is the result of restrictions imposed at the ISP or national level in Russia.

What Can You Do?

To work around this issue, we recommend the following:

  • Use a VPN: Connecting through a VPN service that routes your connection outside of Russia will allow you to create and host rooms again.

  • Changing in-game region settings alone will NOT solve the issue if your ISP is still blocking access. Only a VPN has proven effective in bypassing these restrictions.

We understand this is frustrating and we wish there was more we could do. However, until Russian ISPs lift these blocks, a VPN is the most reliable way to restore full multiplayer functionality.

Our servers use specific IP ranges and ports. If Russian ISPs or authorities are blocking or filtering those IPs or ports (e.g., due to infrastructure-level censorship, or broad firewall rules), you'll get connection issues like timeouts, especially during room creation or matchmaking.

Мы обнаружили, что игроки из России не могут создавать комнаты или запускать многопользовательские сессии в Deadly Quiet и других играх, использующих те же выделенные серверы.

После тщательного расследования мы пришли к выводу, что проблема вызвана блокировкой доступа к серверной инфраструктуре со стороны некоторых российских интернет-провайдеров (ISP). К сожалению, это не находится в нашей зоне контроля, так как ограничения накладываются на уровне провайдера или государства в России.


Что вы можете сделать?

Чтобы обойти эту проблему, мы рекомендуем следующее:

  • Используйте VPN — подключение через VPN, который направляет ваш трафик за пределы России, позволит вам снова создавать комнаты и играть в мультиплеере.

  • Изменение региона в настройках игры не решит проблему, если ваш провайдер продолжает блокировать соединение. Только VPN показал эффективность в обходе этих ограничений.

Мы понимаем, насколько это неприятно, и нам жаль, что мы не можем напрямую повлиять на ситуацию. До тех пор, пока российские провайдеры не снимут блокировку, VPN остаётся единственным стабильным способом вернуть полную функциональность мультиплеера.

Наши серверы используют определённые диапазоны IP-адресов и порты. Если российские провайдеры или регулирующие органы блокируют или фильтруют эти IP/порты (например, в рамках инфраструктурной цензуры или с помощью широких правил межсетевых экранов), вы будете сталкиваться с такими проблемами, как обрывы соединения и таймауты, особенно при создании комнат или подборе игроков.

Hope you're all having a great Steam Next Fest. I've tried out a few demos myself. It's been really cool to see what awesome games are on the horizon.

Thanks to everyone who has played the demo and wishlisted the game. I've enjoyed hearing all your feedback both praise and critique. I've listened closely to what you've been saying and there's been a common refrain involving the enemy's passivity and lack of action on the Planet Doutien. So with that in mind, I am happy to announce....

The Attack of the Wokels Update!

What's New?

The Wokels Have Gone Crazy + New Enemies and Variants

The Wokels have gone crazy! I dunno what they ate but they're aggressive and want to eat your face. They will now chase you down. There's also new Wokel enemies that jump! Yikes! (What have I done.)

There are also new attacks for other enemies you'll meet in the demo. New enemy placements and even some enemies that weren't part of the previous version. So more variety and more action and excitement!

A Brand New Ability, the Down Stab Attack

To help you deal with this new Wokel threat I am pleased to introduce a new Attack. The Down Stab. Skewer your foes and get a boost up into the air as a bonus. Hmm. Could use this as a traversal.

ROSEGATE PORT

Origin

The home harbor of The Imperial Rose was Ironwealth’s crown jewel—a thriving port city perched on a cliff, purpose-built to support the massive cruise liner. Outfitted with its own train station, hotels, cafés, and restaurants, the port handled constant streams of passengers and cargo. A dead-end cargo rail track enabled quick offloading of supplies, while tugboats and cranes ensured efficient turnarounds. Every cruise began and ended here, and the port’s image became a symbol of luxury and escape, featured in posters across nearby villages.

During the Catastrophic Event:

As earthquakes grew in strength, panicked crowds surged into the harbor hoping to board The Imperial Rose. With Orchard Port cut off by falling rocks, Rosegate Port became the island’s last hope. But when a section of the pier collapsed, access to the ship became narrow and dangerous. Despite desperate efforts by tugboats to push the vessel out, strong waves and volcanic tremors hindered escape. Ultimately, the captain made the painful decision to depart, leaving many behind. A volcanic blast struck the ship’s hull, causing it to take on water and run aground near the harbor.

After the Catastrophic Event:

In the eruption’s aftermath, a massive landslide from the cliffs destroyed the train station, buried the roads, and severed all access routes. Large chunks of the cliff fell into the sea, further damaging infrastructure. Amid the devastation, a hidden tunnel entrance to underground caves emerged, hinting at secrets beneath the ruined harbor. Once a gateway to adventure and luxury, the port now lay in ruins—haunted by the echoes of its final, desperate voyage.

The final update for our Steam Next Fest demo has now went live!

This update includes:

  • More and better tutorials for mechanics such as spells (Mantra & Mudra), and Vanquish (Pacify & Execute).

  • Changes to combat, such new hit reactions, spells and rebalancing.

  • A new loading screen with a shader precompile step, increasing initial load times on first launch but significantly helping reduced initial load issues on lower end hardware.

Please note the minimum specs still apply! Steam Deck is not supported at this time.

Please restart steam to receive the latest update. Remember that you can report any issues using the Bug Report button in the pause menu.

This update addresses a few bugs...

  1. Turning off enemy threat circles on the mission planning map would cause newly detected SAM & AAA units to not show their threat circle on the TSD/Radar screen.

  2. Cockpit dashboard clocks now show the correct in game time rather than just the time the mission started.

  3. Updated some installations to hopefully fix the Allied/Neutral buildings appearing in some enemy installations.

  4. Updated the A.I. landing code to make a more positive landing attempt which hopefully eliminate an issue where they would almost touchdown, but not quite, and then drift around the landing waypoint.
