Play singleplayer or co-op with up to three friends in intense action with more co-op, singleplayer and multiplayer missions coming soon!

Interstellar Marines resurrects the old school tactical FPS, offering a unique blend of co-op, role-playing and non-linear gameplay. Set in a believable future, you take on the role of an elite soldier handpicked to join Project IM, a top secret military program being assembled to protect mankind from all dangers outside our solar system.

Interstellar Marines is inspired by Half-Life, System Shock 2 and Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield. Our game is all about evolving the FPS recipe with all the inspirations we've assimilated since the birth of the genre. Our goal is an evolutionary leap forward driven by our compulsive interest in science fiction, role-playing, military realism, and respect for first person immersion.

Features Currently Available

  • Singleplayer and co-op stealth campaign called Assault on Starcrown Aerospace with sandbox gameplay, randomised locations and multiple difficulty levels.
  • Massive singleplayer and co-op level titled The NeuroGen Incident.
  • 5 additional co-op and single-player challenge missions against our unscripted AI for you and your friends to test your abilities.
  • Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Deadlock multiplayer game modes in highly dynamic environments.
  • 9 unique indoor and outdoor maps featuring dynamic environment configurations such as time of day, rain, thunder and lightning, emergency lighting, fire alarms, movable platforms etc.
  • 100% dynamic lighting and real-time shadows as well as destructible light fixtures.
  • Full-body first person character simulation (no more floating hands!) with a physics-based dynamic character controller.
  • Advanced and intuitive crouch and cover system.
  • Physically present combat helmet with futuristic HUD projected onto the inside of the visor glass and affected by light and rain.
  • Full spectator and movie mode with freecam, first and third person views. Record movies, livestream, and cast matches.
  • Experience various maps and prototypes in “Playground” mode (singleplayer).
  • Play on high capacity dedicated servers in the US, Europe, Australia, Russia and Brazil.
  • Submachine Gun (CE6) and Assault Rifle (AR-3) with full-auto fire.
  • Shoot from hip or look through the Red Dot scope for increased accuracy.

Vision of Interstellar Marines

  • First Person Simulation
A razor-sharp focus on creating a truly immersive First Person Simulator via distinct graphics, audio and gameplay.
  • Tactical Co-op
The entire game experience designed from the ground up to support up to 4 players in co-op, with true cooperative interaction.
  • Progressive Role-Playing
Flat and classless progressive character development and skill system that is not dumbed down for consoles.
  • Nonlinear Game Design
Open and dynamic game world that always presents a multitude of tactical options for navigating the environment.
  • Customizable Arsenal
A comprehensive selection of weapon models and types, extension upgrades and equipment options, allowing on-the-fly choice in each tactical situation.
  • Thinking AI
Enemies that react to input from you and the surrounding game world. We would rather have one smart thinking enemy than five stupid ones.
  • Believable Science Fiction
Realistic and rich sci-fi environments, ranging from claustrophobic space stations to large outdoor worlds.
  • Interactive Storyline
A cinematic narrative centered around first contact with another sentient species, where your choices and actions will have consequences.

    Roadmap (Near Future)

These are the features we are planning on adding fairly soon, and are in no particular order. Many of them have already been partially completed:
    • Steam features (stats, achievements, friends).*
    • Advanced character movement (sprint to be added).*
    • Tactical gameplay (fatigue and adrenaline).*
    • Co-op features (multiplayer).*
    • Weapon features (rate-of-fire, extensions, reload types).
    • Extend general game UI and HUD system.
    • In-game profiles.*
    • More weapon types and models.*
    • New multiplayer maps.*
    • Environment variations, theme and context.
    • Shooting range (singleplayer).
    • Developer Commentary mode.
    • Oculus Rift support.
    • Server / LAN support.*
    • Artificial Intelligence (AI).*
*This is already partially completed and in Interstellar Marines

uh, so let me tell you a story.

in 2009 This dev, collects alot of money to make you a game. This game dev, for whatever reason, blows every cent they got from funding on whatever they wanted. Silly right? hah. hah. well, they did it. Not only did they do that, but then they had the balls to try and put the game up AGAIN, except this time, they expect you to pay money for it. Not bad, right? supporting the dev to get the game. well, heh, get this. All premium accounts that were promised a version of the game were somehow "lost" or something, because I was one of those fools in 2011 that bought the premium account, and I have had no word on when I get my free key. Oh, don't worry. This is just the beggining.

After that, they started a crowdfunding for this game. Got a ♥♥♥♥ ton of money, for a game they already has essentially done. They said something about engine rights. So, here they go again, they got a literal ♥♥♥♥ ton of money and more than enough to buy the engine rights 100 times. So you might be thinking, here comes the release?

Well.. too.♥♥♥♥ing.bad.

They realease on steam in late 2012/early 2013. Oh, and guess what? It's in early access. AGAIN. I'm guessing to create an illusion saying they're working on the game and they need your support to help finish it. Right?

Wrong. Again.

It's may, 2015. This game has been in early access for YEARS. Just on steam! Oh, wait, it's not over.

Want to know how they got away with it? Because they can. And because illerate ♥♥♥♥tards on reddit and steam mindlessly defended this game, saying "oh just give them time!" Well guess ♥♥♥♥ing what? I've gave them 6 ♥♥♥♥ing years to get their ♥♥♥♥ together, and I don't see any game even a quarter of the way done. Really? I'll list some sources below, if you're interested. Once you get on this page, scroll to the VERY bottom. The first post is from the 15th of may 2009, with media showing the game already at least being worked on for a while.

Oh, here's a screencap incase anyone's lazy or incase they bring the link down.

♥♥♥♥ you, Zero Point Software.

This game is missing too much and the gameplay itself is not enjoyable enough to make up for the lack of content. Six years is a long time to be working on a game and I expect there to be more available after all that time. I will say I do like the coop missions. They have a suspenseful atmosphere. Like I have been saying though, I just wish there was more content than just the same two enemies, same two guns, and same objectives. Definitely not worth the $19. I would recommend it if the price was below $10.

Hey guys,
Firstly this game really does amaze me; so much so that I have spent over 212hrs of my life on it!
Here is a little overview of the entire game as well as answers to myths circulating

There are currently two types of enemy androids or CTR's these being
-Continuously moving Sentry with an assault rifle
-A fast moving Android that melee attacks with his arms
(Landsharks soon, HOPEFULLY!)
In the multiplayer maps the enemies are only players

There are currently two weapons with 3 fire modes and 2 attachments these are the Assault Rifle (AR)
and the SMG each configurable with the fire rates of Automatic, Burst and Single Shot and the attachments of a flashlight and laser! (I dont recommend the lasers in combat as it gives away your position)

Interstellar Marines currently holds 4 Multiplayer Gamemodes
-Team Deathmatch
-Team Domination

They are accompanied with their 9 different SinglePlayer and 4 player Co-op counterparts
-Welcome to project IM (Singleplayer only)
-Assault on Starcrown Aerospace
-The Neurogen Incident
-Get Killed by bots (Singleplayer Only)
-Elimination A Stronghold
-Elimination B Mainline
-Survival A Operations
-Survival B Colony
-Escape A Nucleus

There are currently 9 multiplayer maps
-Evacuation - Large wasteland map
-Mainline- Spread out map with 4 main buildings and one open middle zone
-Mainline Winter - Winter version of Mainline
-Operations - Tight and maze like map
-Rupture - Large map that consists of two ends each with a building.
Each consists of several immersive variable environments such as Dawn, Foggy/Overcast, Rain, Day, Night and Fire Alarm.

Ranking System
The ranking system uses Training Points (TP) earned by completion of Gamemodes or kills to give you a Training Rank (TR). As your Training Rank increases so does the TP required to earn the next training rank. It is currently 5TP per kill. I am at TR-91 (Goes to TR-100) and it is costing me 10000TP to rank up 1 TR (2000 kills!!!)

1. "The devs have abandoned the game" , This is COMPLETELY FALSE! They are still here and working as hard as ever.
2. "Where are the Landsharks?", The land-sharks will come, EVENTUALLY! They are not here yet!

This game is my favourite, I play it everyday and I hope you share my love for it; if you decide to buy it. I hope I have answered some burning questions that you had, It is continually being updated and the Developers are really really nice to talk to as well as active and reading the forums continuously! I really hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

By the way, I own the Spearhead Edition 'DEM SOUNDTRACKS!'

Thanks for your time
-O.N.- ConjuredMadness :-)

PS. Feel free to add me to play IM with me or ask me questions about the game!
(Leave a comment below saying that you are adding me, so I know its not a bot)

Interstellar Marines is a good game, although it is still lacking certain features. I have gotten my fair share of early access games that turn out to just stop development. This game is constantly being uodated improved and worked on!

-great tatical game play
-single player and multiplayer co op
-playground (where you can explore the maps)
-multiplayer pvp (deadlock and zone control)
-planned lansharks?????????
-most of the cons will be fixed over time
-in depth stamina system

-still in early access (lacking)
-not the best optimized (if you have a bad computer be careful)

Orz
