What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“After a year of polishing the demo, Early Access feels like the natural next step. The core is solid, but to expand it intelligently we need a lot more focused feedback than a demo or playtests can't provide.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to exit Early Access by the end of 2026. This provides the necessary development time and avoids confusion about which year's "Best Roguelike" list the game should belong on.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our focus will be on expanding the game with new content: new nodes, locations, aspects, and Cores. We also plan to add a "true ending" to finalize the experience.
We'll introduce a few new systems. They aren't strictly necessary, but they should add more texture to runs.
Finally, we’ll complete necessary polish like controller support, better Steam Deck compatibility, and localizations.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is structurally about 90% complete, missing only the "true ending" and its final boss. It includes a full onboarding tutorial, introductory runs, and a substantial amount of content: over 150 regular nodes, 50 Cores (enemies), and 70+ Aspects (relic-like upgrades).
There should be enough depth and variety here to engage even very experienced players.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. The price will increase when we leave Early Access for the full 1.0 release. There may also be a smaller price increase when we complete all core features and polishing milestones.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We’re always available on our Discord server, where players can share feedback, talk strategy, and suggest ideas.

We’re making a niche, thoughtful game, and the players it attracts tend to be sharp and dedicated. I genuinely look forward to hearing your ideas and learning from your perspective as we build the rest of the game together.”

About This Game

NET.CRAWL is a deck-building puzzle roguelike played on a hexagonal grid. Moving into a hex(node) activates it and triggers its effect.

Blue nodes give you Data. Yellow nodes - Credits.
Green nodes are your personal toolbox, with effects ranging from basic defense to creative rule bending.
Red nodes are hostile. They will cause you all sorts of trouble.

And then there are the purple ones. The Cores. Mini-bosses, each with its own unique ability or victory condition. They are very powerful, almost game-breaking. You won't be able to defeat them without a tailored strategy.

Nodes of all types are mixed together to create levels with endless opportunities for combos and synergies. Each level is dynamically assembled from two grids (blue and green) that you draft as part of between-level progression.
