What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We've always been committed to building DUSK with our players since DAY ONE. By opening DUSK up to more people in Early Access – we'll be able to get all the DUSKWorld multiplayer testing we need on a larger scale, give you Episode 2 now (why not) and make sure that the full and final launch of DUSK is everything we all want it to be.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“DUSK will remain in Early Access until Episode 3 is finished and DUSKWorld multiplayer is what we'd consider ready for a v1.0 public launch. We expect this all to be done within the next few months!”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The FULL version of DUSK will contain all 3 campaign episodes, 3 endless arenas and v1.0 of DUSKWorld multiplayer - PLUS Steam achievements, leaderboards and trading cards.

Post-launch plans include the DAWN SDK, Steam Workshop, co-op, Mac & Linux versions and who knows what else.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

DUSK currently contains Episode 1, Episode 2 and the DUSKWorld open beta. Both campaign episodes are extremely polished and what we'd consider practically finished and final. The multiplayer is in a very fun and stable beta that has limited bugs and issues.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No. The price of DUSK will NOT change.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We've been building DUSK with our community since Day 1 and we don't want to stop now. We encourage players to be active on the forums and communicate directly with us at”

DuskDudes & Dudettes! Lurkers & Intruders!

The time has come for...

That's right - the first ever DUSKWorld 1v1 Tournament is happening NEXT WEEK on Friday, February 23rd at 4pm Central time (10pm GMT) :steamhappy:

Seeing as this is our FIRST tournament and DUSKWorld is still very much in a BETA state, we're keeping this tourney relatively small + low key for now but you can sign up at (check #dusk-events)

What can you win? Well, we've already announced that we'll be giving away Steam Gift Cards but I'm here to tell you we'll also be giving the winners brand new (and shiny) keyboards & mice from our friends at Corsair. You can't very well play DUSKWorld properly with some old garbage KB+M, can you? OF COURSE NOT.

Meanwhile - the news of this 1v1 "FRAGSTRAVAGANZA" doesn't come without news about DUSKWorld itself! So here's what you can expect in the upcoming versions of DUSKWorld - some coming as soon as NEXT WEEK:

Spectator mode (how else you gonna watch the tournaments?!)

*Password Protected Servers (so you can cyber)

*Map tweaks (sure whatever)

*Bugfixes and optimized netcode (yey)

*Minor "quality of life" features (ok)

*Projectile rework (so they work better)

*Custom MP map support (already?!)

*Additional game modes (there will be soap)

*A dedicated server tool (host your own damn server)

And as for single player?!

Progress continues!

David has been hard at work playing Hitman on Episode 3 and we'll have more to show you SOON™

Y'all like Arcane Dimensons?!

January 26

It's been two weeks since we launched DUSK in Early Access - and as you've no doubt noticed - the response is now officially, undeniably, OVERWHELMINGLY POSITIVE.

The team is ecstatic, thrilled and humbled - but this is no accident.

Those of you who have been here with us since day zero know that we've been building this game WITH YOU from the very beginning and that this outcome is the result of us building DUSK brick by brick, level by level, hup by hup with your feedback and guidance the entire time.

This is the result of never rushing, never stressing, and always communicating with YOU.

Because of YOU, people now know exactly the kind of game DUSK is, exactly the kind of player DUSK is for, and exactly just how legit it is at being both of those things.

So we're here to thank you once again. The reason this game is what it is and the reason we're here - is because of you.

But remember that THIS is only the beginning.

Work on Episode 3 continues and DUSKWorld multiplayer updates will keep coming during Early Access. New servers, new features, new fixes, new models, new maps, new modes, but the same old GLORIOUS gameplay.

But don't just expect updates: During Early Access we'll also be running DUSK single player contests, DUSKWorld multiplayer tournaments, and of course continue hosting community Frag Night every Friday.

Be sure to drop into for all the latest.

And while this may be the beginning... DUSK's full launch isn't even nearly the end.

We've got a LONG year ahead of us.

After we hit v1.0 it's time for the SDK, Steam Workshop, Co-op, Mac / Linux and more.

The sky is the limit as long as we have YOUR support. And so far it looks like we do :D:

Know that we are equal parts proud, honored and humbled at the response DUSK has gotten.

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE - For those of you who are spent on DUSK's first two episodes and crave even MORE retro FPS madness?

Well, you're in luck.

Our UNREAL ode to Heretic & Hexen - AMID EVIL - will be going into Early Access in the coming weeks with THREE out of SEVEN episodes and Endless Mode playable.

Damn, we haven't even announced that yet... but I guess we just did.

That's all for now, lurkers... see you... SOON :Lorelei:

“DUSK's incredible FPS levels continue where Quake left off”
PC Gamer

“A return to form for the FPS genre”

“DUSK is f**king great and you’re better off playing that than arguing on forums about things.”

About This Game

DUSK reintroduces you to a world where butchery and bloodshed must be mastered if you're to survive 'til dawn. Inspired by Quake, Blood, Heretic, Hexen, Half-Life, Redneck Rampage and all your '90s favorites, and featuring a soundtrack by metal music mastermind Andrew Hulshult.

In THREE distinct campaign episodes hand-crafted from straight outta the '90s, players battle through an onslaught of mystical backwater cultists, possessed militants and even darker forces and attempt to discover just what lurks beneath the Earth. Featuring a vast arsenal of badass weaponry including saw blades, dual-wielded shotguns from 1887 and an incredibly necessary grenade launcher, DUSK is unapologetic retro action from start to finish.

In addition to the main campaign, DUSK features an Endless Survival Mode, putting you front and center of wave after wave of enemies. For those looking for an extra challenge, DUSK also offers the chance to go head to head online to battle your friends in arena multiplayer, where darkness hosts the worst of humanity in surprising new ways.
