I've played this game in ANDROID, and now in the PC just got better!
This game is very addictive and hard.
You choose a character and must defeat waves of monsters, after a few waves of creatures you face bosses!
Each character has its advantages and disadvantages, as well as their own weapons / spells.
It has a good amount of different monsters to confront, and collect money to buy potions and stuff. And of course also has the relics that can give you an optimal help in your battle.
This game is very simple, but very fun.

I expected a different game when I first started playing Hero Siege. Here I was thinking it was an action RPG, you know, with quests and loot, but I guess it was the name that fooled me. Hero Siege is actually a fun, difficult but very, very addicting game that mixes RPG mechanics together with roguelike gameplay.

The game generates a random level for you, even though all of the levels are always large rectangles with randomly placed objects in it.

The enemies will come from the north, south, east and west and they come in waves. Defeat a wave and you'll have time to upgrade your stats and skills, find health orbs, find hidden dungeons or buy items. Or just idle, it's totally up to you. You can also find and unlock chests for more money and random items. And there are potions to be found as well, but they can have a negative effect as well as a positive effect. Same goes for shrines. In other words, there's plenty to be found in these, seemlingly small, levels.

After every fifth wave comes a boss fight, but because you'll have properly upgraded stats and items by then they're usually a piece of cake. Defeat the boss and you're awarded money and/or chests, a random item (these items are very similar to the ones found in The Binding Of Isaac) and a portal. Enter the portal and you'll enter the next area, with full health, and the game continues again, except with more and more difficult enemies this time around.

And after many, many waves you'll enter a new world. If you die you can start from there, but it's more difficult right from the start and you won't have any of your previously gathered items this time. Still, it can be done with a little practice. That's pretty much what Hero Siege is all about.

The graphics aren't great; they're pixelated, especially in full screen and things can get a bit hectic with all the stuff that's going on but it's definitely better than 3D graphics. They just wouldn't fit the game. There's no voice acting except for a few phrases and the sounds consist mostly of little soundbites. But that's not what's important here. The fact is that Hero Siege is a fabulous game that you desperately need to play. Trust me.

Very fun game. Well worth the $10 price tag, and the developers have said that they will add new content as time goes by.

If you like games like Binding of Issac and Rogue Legacy, or just Hack & Slash games in general, I would highly recommend picking up Hero Siege.

This is a surprisingly good, simple to play, yet deep wave based game along the lines of Zelda meets Gauntlet and Smash TV wrapped up in a gorgeous old school shell. You start by selecting from 4+ classes. For the most part they play the same, some are melee, some are ranged classes. Then you get dumped into a randomly generated area and forced to fight 6 or so waves of enemies. Very simple controls that are basically dual stick, only 4 direction shooting instead of 8 direction or true aiming. There is a button to use an item you have, but you can only carry 1 at a time. The item is generally potions that you pick up or buy. Then the other 2 buttons are to call the store and view the character screen where you spend your level up points on strength, speed, defense and health. You also spend points on special skills, such as 1% extra critical chance. The upgrades system is pretty nice, but really, devote everything into strength.

After 6 or so waves, you face a giant bullet sponge of a random boss. It is a lot of fun and there are a lot of bosses, but some will insta kill you if you're in the wrong place. After that, you get a random item, and go on your way to the next area. The areas look different and there are even side areas you can unlock that will take you to randomly generated dungeons that seem to have simple puzzles. Its a very nice touch that most games would have ignored.

From all of the enemies you kill, boxes you destroy and treasure chests you open, you will get gold. Lots of gold. The problem is gold feels worthless. You can buy potions and temporary power ups. All of which just seems inconsequential. There is another kind of shop too. One that you can buy visual items such as top hats and so on. Those items require crystals to buy and crystals seem like they'll be the micro transaction to the game, especially since this was a game made for mobile gaming. But for now you get crystals by getting achievements, which seem simple enough to get. Nothing really costs all that many crystals either.

The game looks very super Nintendo or 90s arcade and I mean that as a huge compliment. Other games try for the 90s Nintendo feel and just end up looking crappy, but this looks awesome. The only real downside to the game is that I feel this is belongs in an arcade. Its oddly fun, but without an actual quest, it feels right at home popping quarters in. Sure you can progress your character, level them up where when you die, you keep the level you had (unless the game glitches and loses your save file). When you've played 10 minutes of this game, you've played hours of it. The game does try to switch it up with different colored and different sized monsters, but its the same all the way through, just with different environments. The game even adds random death 'bombs' too that will spray you with poison, blue lasers or something creative.

In all, its a lot of fun, probably even worth $10, but with it feeling like such an arcade game, I say wait for a sale. Especially since it looks like the game has micro transactions.

Hero siege is a 3rd person Rogue-like RPG where you fight different creatures and bosses over a variety of waves. There really isn't much more to say that that. There are a lot of different item drops, and tons of loot(potions and gold) to collect as you kill enemies and explore dungeons. There is a Nice variety of classes in the game, althought I've only played with the viking so far. I'm sure adapting to the other classes will bring further challenge. The game is a lot of fun, and at its sale price of 4.99 I would highly recommend it. I would even recommend it at its 9.99 price tag, I think the game is lots of hack and slash fun going through waves of enemies.

A few complains, but they are minor. I really wish they would have just left the voice acting out. Its absolutely terrible and not needed. I don't mean to insult anyone but the voice acting game is literally the worst I've ever heard. Hearing it at some points kind of takes away from the experience for me. I don't need to hear the viking say "Damn, now I need to clean my axe" in a very hushed tone with little effort put into it after every boss fight. I could do without that. The other complaint is some items are just so much more valuable than others. Some items can almost guarentee a long run by themselves. I think items being more balanced would bring something more to the game.

There isn't much to say, but I do recommend this game because while the combat is simple, it still feels good and substantial. Pick this up if you're a fan of RPG's or just simple rouglelikes, you'll have a good time for at least a few hours, which is well worth the price tag.

UPDATE: Apparently people are experiencing insta-death moments and game breaking bugs. I have not experienced this but I will keep this in this review to warn you until there is a patch put out that fixes these problems for most people.

-Fun combat
-Loads of enemy types
-Fun boss fights, if not a bit easy sometimes
-Lots of waves to go through
-Plenty of classes

-Voice acting
-Clunky interface
-Imbalanced items
