Picturesque landscapes, interesting Skills and crafting system as well as exciting fights - the Rayman graphic scaffold UbiArt Framework and the Far Cry 3 - makers impressively demonstrate that they can role play games. Although Child of Light ailing something about the lack of variety - the watercolor role-playing game with Japanese influence is worth the download.
Every action, whether attack, defense or magic, requires from the selection a certain time before it is executed. The preparation of opponents we use therefore, in order to interrupt with a weak but quick offensive action. The time advantage gained turn to leave Finn rain down his elaborate monsoon spell on one of the Hydra heads.
Brings us to the point of "knowledge": the fiery skull reacts namely extremely allergic to water, lightning skull on earth magic. Each type of enemy can withstand an attack type particularly bad, is it against others almost resistant. This applies to the Hydra as well as for all other adversaries.
Did you get the hang out again, the opponent - apart from large intermediate and final bosses like the three-headed hydra - on the difficulty level of "normal" not a big challenge. So who's been roleplaying tried out, selected at the beginning of difficulty hard.
Even if we can not equip himself Aurora and Co, there are some ways to influence their development.
For example, using the skills system in which we improve on three trees the skills of a character. This strengthens example Auroras evasive reflex, her magic values or manhandle their flash-attack to a new level.
In addition, we equip our characters with collected crystals, which then increase about us the maximum SP values, or add a melee attack lightning damage. We merge three crystals to a "oculi" even more jumps out for us.
The Art of Design Child of Light is fantastic. The hanging clouds in the background, the occasional rain and withered flora give the game a sleepy melancholy that is broken here and there by more vivid trees or other objects. Simply beautiful!
But really diverse the world is not. Although the sections differ from one another, within the areas but is that hardly since much repeated too many corners look the same. The enthusiasm over the ornate style flies so the more you see of the game.
The most fun Child of Light makes for two: We consult, plan the next attack tactics. Even the occasional emergent puzzle - usually it comes to project light through a mask to the right place - we solve them together. Only Child of Light is also entertaining, but then motivated if the time somewhat monotonous levels and compared to other RPGs a little small geratenen skill trees are not quite so much.
Child of Light is a fabulous 2D RPG that you have to like easy! The loving design, the beautiful watercolor style and tailor-made for characters make the title a visual highlight.
The time-based combat system I really like, just like the idea of the little Helpers Igniculus. That is also the reason why I recommend Child of Light in co-op mode. Couple can actually be more overlook the few shortcomings of the download title. Only when you play with a buddy the game unfolds the full potential of fun.
Score: 84 / 100
