The development of Software Inc. is a one-man operation. I chose Early Access because I'll need feedback, since it’s impossible to uncover all design flaws and issues by myself. The support I’ve gained through Early Access has allowed me to work on Software Inc. full time, which has enabled me to greatly speed up development and give it the full attention it deserves.”

The development process is a big part of the product, which I believe is the way Early Access is supposed to be. It is important to note that as one developer, there are limits to the amount of feedback I can physically absorb, while still finishing the game and making sure I don’t pass out in front of my computer.”

Alpha 9.5.1 out on testing branch

  • Project management would release the same press release constantly, lagging the game and crashing the newspaper

Alpha 9.4.1 out on testing branch

9.4.2 fixes instances of saves not loading.



The noise mechanic has been completely revamped. I've been testing out the pre-marketing mechanics based on your feedback, but it seems to work fine when I try it, so the problem with it might be the current lack of tutorials. I'll try to finish the tutorials up for the next update.

When tutorials are finished and the game is balanced enough to allow a fair play through, I'll release alpha 9 officially and start working on getting subsidiaries in (still alpha 9).
