PREMIER EDITION

While seeking life on a distant planet, an astronaut discovers an abandoned Russian town. He suspects his mission is a hoax until a mysterious young woman saves him from a strange and deadly phenomenon... Lifeless Planet is a third-person action-adventure that features an old-school sci-fi story and spectacular environments in the spirit of classic action-adventures.

After a hard landing on the planet, the astronaut discovers the planet that was reported to be rich with life is instead a barren wasteland. When he goes searching for his crew, he makes a more startling discovery: evidence that humans have already been to this planet years ago! When he comes upon a deserted Soviet-era Russian town, he struggles to make sense of his mission. Did his light-speed travel to the planet send him back in time? Or is this all some strange Cold War hoax?

Along the way, the astronaut meets a Russian woman, Aelita, who is somehow able to survive the hostile atmosphere of the planet. Through an unusual natural phenomenon, her skin causes the soil to glow green under her feet. The player must use these glowing tracks as a guide across the planet past treacherous and deadly threats. Is she leading him to safety... or an untimely death?

Lifeless Planet was inspired by Cold War era science fiction stories, posing questions about humankind's desire for space travel. What if you journeyed across the galaxy to another planet, only to find humans had already been there? What kind of person would sign up for a one-way mission, leaving behind planet Earth and everyone they've ever known and love... to go in search of an Earth-like planet?

Equipped with a limited-use jet-pack and a mobile robotic arm, the player must use wits and skill to solve puzzles, unravel the mystery, and survive the Lifeless Planet!

Key Features:
  • Explore 20 unique and atmospheric environments on a vast and treacherous planet.
  • Follow a mysterious young woman as she guides you past dangerous terrain and deadly life-forms.
  • Investigate the startling discovery of an abandoned Russian town.
  • Experience an exciting and intriguing story through rich graphics and cinematic cut-scenes.

Altamente recomendado. O jogo é simples, menos no aspecto musical. 8,5/10.

Lifeless Planet is a nice, little puzzle-exploration game.

An astronaut crew crash-lands on a distant planet, you awake alone and try to find your crew and quickly start realizing, that this planet isn't what you thought it would be.
Promised to contain life or at least good living conditions, you find yourself in a desert-like wasteland and soon discover, that you weren't the first to be on this planet.

The game is mostly about exploring the different locations, some platforum jumping, solving some rather easy puzzles and collect log-entries, which will unveil the story to you.

The mysterious atmosphere of the planet is pretty well done and the story itself is presented in a way, which kept me interested and wanting to know what was going on.

Be aware that the game itself is rather slow and pretty linear, although the areas are sometimes quite big (but mostly empty).
The last third of the game feels a bit stretched and although you had some highlights, it could have been a bit shorter at the end, which would also be another point to watch out for: the game itself is rather short.

If you like slower paced exploration games, mysterious sci-fi/fantasy stories then this might be a nice little game for you.
Personally i would wait for a sale to buy.

LIFELESS PLANET IS:

_An unforgettable sci-fi adventure
_Very well written
_Suited to be a movie
_Too easy
_A platformer game with a few puzzles on your way
_Voice-acted awesomly
_Becoming a lot interesting when you constate the story is truly well hidden
_Orchestred by a genius, the soundtrack is amazing
_An indie gem
_A game radically too short
_Asking you to don't die during the whole game

LIFELESS PLANET ISN'T:

_Cheap (Perhaps a bit too expensive?)
_Exigent enough with some mechanic (oxygen is the best example)
_Gorgeous but the actual engine has its charm
_Scary even if the atmosphere is great
_Perfect about its awkward commands, perhaps you'll die sometimes because of these
_Frustating because of the frequent checkpoints
_In need to kill your computer xD
_Choosing the easy way scenaristic (you'll have to think a lot about it)
_Ending so quickly, you won't be disgusted (if like me you hate these game's ending when it's rushed)

Once again an indie diamond appeared in my life and i welcome it my arms open kindly,a great game with an amazing story!

Global note:7/10
Difficulty on average & 100%:4/10

An amazing Space Walking Simulator.
You play as an astronaut that's landing in a strange "Lifeless Planet" and starting to explore this planet to learn more about it.
The minus is outdated graphics, staggering and clanky levels/chapters transitition.

Overall, I'm enjoying this adventure till the end.
It's not worth the replay though (for achievement purpose).

This game is a lot of fun at first, but then it becomes tedious. It's mostly a platformer, with a couple puzzles, and a lot of walking as you explore. It's pretty linear--you cannot get off the track too far. What made me quit playing is the awful "save" function. The game does not actually save when you want it to. If you are in the middle of a level and fall to your death, you spawn petty close to where you fell, and this is great! But if you save and quit before finishing the level, you have to start the level over again from the start of the level (not where you "saved"). You cannot leave the game until you finish the level you are on, or you have to replay 10 or 20 minutes of the game as you restart the level (I'm slow, I guess). There was one level I found a bit tough, and I became discouraged because I could not leave the game until I succeeded with this level. I got to the LAST jump, failed over and over and set the game aside. But next time, I start the level over from the beginning. After I did this five or six times, I put the game aside and never finished it. If you like platformers, this game may be for you...
Edit: I gave this game a "thumbs down", do not recommend. But I think I should MAYBE give it half a "thumbs up" because if you buy it cheap, and have a high frustration level, you may like it. The story was interesting, but I never got to the end.
