Perpetuum is a persistent, sandbox, single server, massively multiplayer sci-fi rpg (MMORPG). Control huge robots and mechs to gain access to an alien planet's resources and knowledge, amass huge wealth, or even claim part of the world for yourself using terraforming and complex infrastructure.

Main Features


  • No Monthly Fees – Buy once, play forever. Enjoy a constantly evolving world with periodic feature upgrades.
  • Sci-Fi Setting – Perpetuum is set in a unique sci-fi environment inhabited by robots and alien technology.
  • Persistent Game World – Perpetuum features a large, persistent, single shard online game world. Players all play on the same server together. Changes made to the game world by players are permanent.
  • Industry – Perpetuum features a complex, multi-tier industrial system that enables players to have both small and large scale industrial operations.
  • Economy – The economy is completely player driven. Other than basic items, everything on the market is manufactured by players, the prices dictated by supply and demand.
  • Player-Built Infrastructure – Players are able to raise their own settlements in the unoccupied areas of the Perpetuum world, where they are able to enforce their own rules as they see fit.
  • Terraforming – Players are able to form the world of Nia as they see fit to aid their goals. The terrain can be raised or lowered in certain areas and thus settlements can be protected by intricate strongholds, and temporary shelters can be created in the heat of battle to protect vulnerable allies. It's all up to the player's imagination.
  • Character Progression – Time-based character progression requires no grind and provides a level playing field for casual and hardcore players alike.
  • Large Scale PvP – Players are able to clash in huge battles for control of territory and resources. Formable terrain, destructible scenery and player built infrastructure all play key roles in the course of war.
  • High Customizability – Players of Perpetuum have a large number of ways to customize their robots for the various goals they strive towards.
  • Natural Processes – The Perpetuum game world always changes through natural processes. Destroyed plants grow back and spread, and outmined resources replenish over time.

This game is rather coop/group based rather than being solo. If you are solo gamer,you will have hard time in combat quests(starting from tier 2 and above),and just no fun from combat whatsover.
The new update adds some new things like field terminals,rebalanced assignments,and that was a good thing.
This game is played like EVE Online,expcect it has differences compared to it:
The first difference that there's less content than in EVE.
The second one is that there's mechs and robots instead of ships.
The third one is no subscription meaning you can play whatever you want.
The 4th one is somewhat more casual compared to EVE.
The 5th one is its more group(team)based game,because combat is hard without good gear,industrial is slow without groups,and if you are going to defeat em easly,you will need some people to do it. But even with high type gear,you still need people/friends.
Its indie compared to EVE,thus explaining why it lacks content and such.
And due to small amount of people here,don't expect tons of people here.
Of course this may be game for you because of casual setting,but if you want hardcorness buy EVE instead.
Due to pernament loses,you have to be very careful. Its no less harsher than EVE.
Its a sandbox game that content depends entierly on players: If we didn't even manufactured items,and harvested stuff and then selling it on market,then this game and world would be null.
The community of the game is not bad,but also not good,because players prefer looting every dead player(and leaving them die),inculding friends like you.
The bad thing about this game is crashes. Even if i attained fixes for them,they are still disturbing gameplay,and due to those crashes,i died 2 times,in one of which,i was looted by another player(see note above).
The bots that use rockets(pelistal)are imbalanced and rather weak compared to other factions robots. The rocket launchers themselves while having longest range,they have poor DPS no matter how you use rockets properly(even lower than bullet-firing weapons). We still waiting for rebalance/reset.
I would give that game a 7/10 rating,notably for bugs and lack of content.
Or simply this game is for those who never played EVE in more casual view,or if you played,but tired of.
But due to lack of content,bugs and vaerity,it ins't that good at all.
This is a ok game due to that,but if you have friends,it may be worth your time.

Great alternative to EVE Online, population is not overcrowded as of yet and input to developers is direct (though requires good arguments for convincing.) Players are able to directly contribute to the game in some ways such as with vector graphics designs for corporation logos, tool creation, and other ways.

Currently the game needs more players in order to increase the balance of powers, which isn't too hard to do with diligance.

The game does suffer from lag due to some datacenter issues that are being worked on, and there are only a small amount of developers (Not unheard of from indy games) so patience is key. Tickets for support have a quick turn around time though can require some technical knowledge by the player to help solve problems.

Eve online for people confused by space . please don't get scared by the tutorial , look for a corporation and ask help it's not that hard once you get it.

Fun, intricate, intuitive. Perpetuum have multitude of roles to pick from. Whether you're a light to heavy gamer, Perpeuum has something for everyone. One could choose roles involving PVE, PVP, support, crafter. If you can fully integrate yourself into this true sandbox experience you will have an opportunity to create and be apart of a meaningful experience.

Been playing this game since it's release in 2010. This game deserves much more credit and popularity.

Pros:

Open world PVP with complete safe areas for new player and old alike.
Complex resource gathering and mining system 95% of items is player made and can be sold on the market.
Become whatever you want ,many options (miner,manufacturer, trader, bounty hunter, market mogul,spy , empire builder and practically whatever you want)
Sculpt your world with terraforming and player made structures
No subcriptions , in game credit is optional but has only slight advantages (well balanced business model)
Excelent community and Friendly Dev team that listen to their playerbase


Cons:

Graphics and GUI are not the best but a new GUI engine is next on the list from developers.
Might be slow and complicated to get into at first but community is helpful
More players to fight/compete is really needed, as this is a team centric game although it is quite possible to go solo.
A tad slow and grindy to get into at first, if you have little patience don't bother.

This game is an absolute steal even at full price, now it's half that price!
