一般来说Daedalic的ADV没什么好评测的,反正制作质量绝对有保障,对point-and-click类游戏有爱的买买买,无爱的躲远点,我这次主要是来口胡补充点私货……

因为这是Daedalic第一次做黑暗之眼(德语缩写DSA)相关的游戏~当然,作为德系TRPG规则/设定的DSA被拿来做成ADV之后,能用的只有世界观了,加上我们的主角并不是冒险者,而仅仅是一个有点小特殊能力的普通捕鸟人,要不是剧中出现的神名地名,以及高调的标题,大家都不会发现这是基于DSA的游戏……从另一方面这也表明:对于没接触过DSA的同学大可放心食用

我主要想说的是标题,似乎国内网站喜欢翻译成 桑缇娜夫的羁绊,把时间守卫Satinav音译的这么有女人味,我都不知道该说什么了;至于把Ketten(英语Chains,直译为锁链)翻译成羁绊,虽然确实很有文艺范,但似乎完全无视了DSA原来的设定啊……我考据了一下,发现Satinavs Ketten在DSA设定中指的其实是两条贯穿Aventurien大陆南北的魔力线(Kraftlinien),更加接近常见魔幻设定中的Lay-Line或者风水里的龙脉,而这两条魔力线的特点是有很高的时间类法术亲和性。当然对这种设定只有学院里的魔法师才会感兴趣,民间流传的主要是其引申义:时间像锁链一样将世界牢牢锁住,没有人可以逃脱宿命

所以我觉得这锁链主要指的并不是男女主之间的纽带,而是困住反派先知的囚笼。先知在若干年前预见到了自己悲惨的结局,以至于他丧心病狂想尽办法来回避自己的宿命,当他首次成功逃脱死亡后,他认为自己的意愿已经可以凌驾于预言之上了,于是他的野心才会逐渐变大,才会选择复仇,并进一步渴求更大的权力——而他的最后一句台词正是:这个世界根本没有没什么时间守卫,根本没有什么Satinav!然后他的结局我想大家基本也能猜到,妨碍主角把妹的人不会有好下场,先知最终还是迎来了自己的宿命,没能逃脱时间锁链的束缚

是的,这是一款以宿命为主题的游戏,平民男主肩负重任拯救世界拯救妹子的故事!然后世界是拯救了,妹子那边还留下一些问题有待解决,所以还有续作Memoria……

因为我是解谜苦手,按照攻略啃的德语原版,所以谜题难度、英配质量什么的我也没办法评价,但抛开DSA的设定,抛开Daedalic精良的制作,我个人感觉这作只能算中规中矩,在系统上没啥值得一提的创新,细琐的point-and-click部分有时会拖慢对剧情的享受,故事也没太大深度,好在画面和音乐确实能加很多分,总体上也算是一部佳作

萨提纳夫是故事中记录时间的魔神,意为命运不可逆转,而“链”指的是二人心中联系的纽带。
这个游戏引人入胜的故事先放后面,第一让人印象深刻的就是游戏画面,游戏一幕幕场景可以说十足的靓丽和惊艳,看截图可知,美术设计极具匠心,颜色丰富多彩又不耀眼,背景细节多样而又自然,游戏时感觉就像周身在画卷中一样,在其中游玩是十分享受;同时音乐也非常优秀,随着情节的节奏,饱含着一种忧悒、柔淡、轻和,余音环绕,给人非常抚慰和安宁的感觉。我玩这个游戏的时候,甚至有时感觉如梦似幻,感觉就像春天某午后,我坐在窗边,沏上一壶茶,就着窗外的淡青色和早春微寒,慢慢品着温暖的热茶,翻看一本书,不时看看外面过客,这种享受淡然下午时光的这种感觉;又像是在老旧欧洲的海港边、纷攘的市场一侧,租下一栋低矮的却可以隔开繁扰的陋室,早上起来,坐在桌边,推开窗户,屋内的书卷气息和外面的海风腥味混合在一起,形成一种独特的清新,而我就坐下,一边看着粼海晨光,听着众生嘈杂,慢慢地吃着早餐,于安宁界观闻洞天外的感觉。这种感觉很难具体说清,总之就是很享受了,玩这个游戏,就算情节记不住,画面、音乐带来的感觉是忘不了的。
再来说情节,Daedalic公司游戏——包括之后介绍的——的主角基本都是平凡人,在这个故事中,主角们不是什么公主和王子,没有独一无二的身份和天赋异凛的资质,没有受高人一等的青睐,也没有万千一身的幸运,更没有命运总在关键时刻指引和拯救的巧合,主角盖隆是一个一事无成的小人物,长得也如同路人,女主角由莉虽然是精灵,但实在是外貌不扬,估计评选最漂亮女主角,她轻易就能到几百名开外,男女主角既没有独特设计的容貌,也没有精心安排的性格等等方面“人设”。
但这就是Daedalic公司的角色设计的特点,他们的的角色以及故事更为成人化,角色的情绪、言谈举止和态度等更贴近自然和理性,所以由此给人感觉更为真实可信。盖隆聪明、果敢、沉着,尤莉依赖、天真都不是靠化妆和表演出来的,而是在故事中一点点被发现的,所以虽然俩人外表平凡,但他们的故事一点也不平凡,随着游戏的推进,看到他们的冒险、遭遇和喜怒哀乐,我感觉不由自主地喜欢上了这些角色,开始关心他们的命运起来,开始陪着他们紧张和欢笑起来,由此,从玩游戏变成享受游戏。
另外值得一提的是,游戏的配音非常出色,这方面这家公司一直保持了高水准,出色的配音将角色构筑得更加立体,让角色的魅力更让人着迷,让游戏体验得以更加丰满。
谜题方面,也是很有意思的,这方面就不赘述了。

花了n长时间把这两部作品通关了,这样我的Daedalic游戏完成度也达到了90%+。虽然这部作品经常被人评价为“Memoria 的前传”,但是作为一部独立的 Point & Click 作品而言还是很优秀的,我个人也是非常推荐。

先简单的说一下优缺点,方便那些懒得往下翻的玩家:

优点:画面碉堡,音乐OK,配音精彩,世界观宏大
缺点:卡慢现象比较严重;动画有停顿卡帧不同步的现象,分辨率也稍低
中评:剧情精彩但略显老套,结尾有新意不过很难评价是HE还是BE;难度适中,不过有些谜题还是脑洞略大

作为Daedalic 相对早期的作品,TDE:CoS 感觉很像是The Whispered World 风格的延续:奇幻风格的世界,相对平凡的主角,成人化的故事,意味深长的结尾。这种设定和以E&H系列为代表的黑色幽默,是这个公司游戏的两大标杆(当然,精良的制作和坑爹到爆的解谜也是这堆游戏共有的特点),不过相比之下本作感觉更面向解谜新手,剧情画面等等表达方面的东西比例更大一些。

作为一个2D风格爱好者+画面党党员,这作的美术风格只能用碉堡来形容。整个游戏都是油画风格+绚丽的色彩,尤其是场景,简直到了随便截个图都能当桌面的水平;角色设计走写实路线,虽然称不上美型,不过胜在真实,而且略微粗糙的上色也深得我心,和场景以及故事背景非常相配。虽然是2.5D,但是3D的人物物品违和感不大(就是卡的厉害);不过相比之下UI和主菜单的设计显的简单随便,这个算是我个人的怨念吧。

音乐方面……不难听,但是没什么印象深刻的曲子(我觉得Daedalic 作品里音乐最好的是Deponia三部曲和The Night of the Rabbit)。配音很不错,为了刷成就我打了两周目,一遍英语一遍德语(字幕还是用的英语);感觉德语配音更自然,但感情稍逊,英语配音有些夸张,但关键情节感情更丰富有感染力。

解谜方面,本作惊人的有了难度设置……不过也就是提示这些只能减少穷举法痛苦度的玩意= = 幸好那些快捷操作一直存在,缩短了我等脑残的悲剧时间。虽然依然是一个话唠游戏,不过本作提示给的还算明显,多聊聊天基本上提示也都能出来,我打的时候除了大眼睛和精灵王国卡了半天之外剩下的也都还好(哦好吧,还有魔法学院那个圆盘)。

剧情的话,各位看看其它评测大概也就能猜个七八成了……没错,就是这么老套。不过本作没有这公司常年存在的叙事慢热+后期剧情推进过快的毛病,这点加个分。而且作为一个罕见的自带不幸光环的男主(开场被人吊打),Geron小哥居然能在不开挂的前提下在一个满是Flag的世界成功达成世界妹子两手抓的成就(还没有违和感),这剧情也够个75~80分了。而且为了避免人物符号化,整个游戏把笔力集中在男女主这对CP身上,至少我觉得效果不错,男主的聪明专一+女主的天然呆都很明显(不过配角各种酱油= =)。至于不够深刻格局不大啥的……诶这个也是要阅历的嘛。

关于游戏本身的槽吐完了,最后说一下成就好了。这游戏的成就明显是为了让人二周目嘛……但是一个单结局的游戏打两遍真的很没动力好么!而且有的成就太坑了吧!

但是……总而言之,作为一个经常75OFF 的游戏,各位点点点的同好们请毫不犹豫的买下去吧~

故事很有趣,经典的POINT & CLICK冒险,美术效果做得很漂亮,BGM和搭调的CG也很赞。
我准备耐下心来打穿本作了。然后再补补当时预购的MEMORIA。。。

The history of The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav is a clever narrative trick, because i find deplorable Geron already alone therefore sympathetic, because no one else can like him. The plot starts out humbly enough, with Geron scrambling to win a local challenge that will grant him the favor of the king and, hopefully, help him escape the shadow of a dark prophecy that has haunted him since childhood.
The game has a difficult beginning chapter, a number of areas with more characters and puzzles. During later areas restrict to a single place, the beginning of the Chains of Satinav felt initially overwhelming, especially as you will end up with an inventory full of items that will be taken away from you if Geron goes on his quest at the end. There are still some large areas, such as the harbor, where Geron and Nuri meet the dealer Harm; just getting on board the ship is a chore.
Even with all the required items, Geron must then speak, then the required conclusion yet another object. Decipher smugglers.

There is an interesting addition to inventory management in the game; when you select an item from Geron inventory, you can use the mouse wheel to scroll through all the items in your inventory. It is a nice break from, to constantly go back and forth from your inventory if you try the correct answer can be found on a problem. The final gameplay hook is Geron and Nuri magical abilities: Geron has without touching the power, fragile items and Nuri can repair broken objects to break. These skills add some interesting variety, some of the puzzles, but Chains of Satinav still falls into some of the same annoyances that have plagued adventure games for a while now.

Atmosphere is impressive, and scenes are well drawn for setting a mood, with one eye. The art is reminiscent of a graphic novel, somewhere between a comic book superhero and a little more realistic. Every place is unforgettable, so can not help you, a gypsy caravan and rural landscapes to be impressed directly from a children's book of fables from such places as a moonlight mill, a clearing housing.
But even if sites are highly detailed, important items are easy to pick out from the background. You do not need to delve into any irritating pixel hunting.

Sound quality, too, is inconsistent. While the story is easy to track and the dialogue well-written and acted for the most part, there are frequent hitches that remind you that the game has been translated from another language (in this case, German). You sometimes notice odd phrasing and word choices, like calling gypsies "carnies." Other times, conversations are hard to follow, leading to a few "Huh?" moments where you need to take a few extra seconds to figure out what's going on. (as my english skills :D)

The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav offers a much bigger challenge than most recent adventure games, even with its streamlined features. The puzzles are challenging!!!
It isn't any sort of breakthrough in the adventure-gaming arts, but it is a worthy play for anyone fond of the genre. Cute characters, an inviting story, and sensible puzzles make the dozen or so hours you spend with it time well spent.
Aimed at gamers who enjoy a polished, absorbing story and fantastical environments.

At first, I wasn't really convinced, but I kept playing and quickly fell in love with this incredible point and click adventure. The story is captivating, the characters are endearing and the background drawings are beautiful. This is probably one of my favourite Daedalic's game. Recommended, without hesitation.

After playing some of the other games available these days and seeing the prices they are charging I have to change my initial recommendation for this game. There is a lot of content hear for you to explore and the story is a little weak at times, but overall it has a solid amount of challenging puzzles and interesting environments for you to interact with.

The reason I rated it down at first and my continuing problems with it are that the puzzles often have an element to them that requires you to pixel hunt the screens for quite some time to find them or use the hint feature (essentially cheating for a player who plays these kinds of games a lot). One or two is fine, but the consistency of the issue left a bad taste in my mouth. The other issue I had was that the main characters were very unlikable to me. Especially the protagonist. While a bit of negativity and "anti-hero" character can lend some authenticity to an otherwise cardboard cutout, he was downright miserable and his choices that I could not control left me with little sympathy for him or connection to him.

The reason I have redone this review is that, fundamentally, this was a good game marred with exactly the kind of things that can ruin a game for me. However, they are MY buttons and after stepping back a bit it is clear that they were really not enough for a bad recommendation.

I definitely recommend this game. To whom? To anyone who appreciates art. This is several paintings in interactive form. Not for those who just want to shoot stuff.

Why should you buy it?
-As an introduction to Memoria, the sequel. You'll get to know the characters, and get the references in Memoria.
-Clever puzzles. Some are perfectly logical and relatively easy, while others defy logic (faerie realm) or are just too convoluted. Walkthrough will be needed. Sometimes its just a tiny little detail that eludes you (a thing that had to be broken). They are, however, still worthwhile and enjoyable.
-Good story! Its a nice adventure to have, meeting colorful characters, discovering many things, traveling to strange places and ultimately saving your hometown. Reminds me of the Chronicles of Narnia.
-Unique. Like its sequel, there is no other game quite like this out there.
-The visuals. The artists did an amazing job. While the puzzles in the faerie world are impossible to understand, the surreal art is wonderful.

Is anything bad?
-The lipsynching is broken. They fixed this in the sequel.
-The music is lacking or non-existant in many locations. They also fixed this in the sequel I believe.
-Some puzzles defy logic and may require a walkthrough for most to solve. They are not kidding when they give you ''impossible'' challenges. A hint system, such as in Machinarium, would of been appreciated.
-Animations are crude, often making the game stall for a moment, disrupting the immersion.
-Severak voice actors can be pretty annoying, especially the talking crow. Also, get used to almost every character hating your guts (its linked to the story though). The main town, Andergast, is pretty depressing (its pretty small too).
-Pretty short, especially if you use a walkthrough. It might take you a while to figure out the puzzles though. I personnaly gave up on that to breeze through and see the artwork!

Can't really give this a rating. Its a matter of taste.

I'm going to recommend this game, but just barely.

FIrst off, I beat it, and I'm a very casual point and click gamer. Loved "Kings quest" and "space quest" as a kid, loved "to the moon" more recently. This is a review for people looking at the sale, but are only moderate point and click fans.

FIrst off, the game's visual 2D backgrounds look stunning. thats the first and main thing you'll notice. It looks like they used 2D backgounds with 3D avatars on top for the characters. The artwork team was very good, and original in its design. The only qualm I have visually is sometimes the avatars are choppy and the speaking narratives sometimes aren't synced very well, ie: their mouth simply justs moves as the voice actor voices the lines. Very distracting at best, and story breaking at its worst.

The story is very good, which is why point and click games shine. Geron (Protagonist) comes off as a bit whiney, but he's fairly lovable by the end of the story. He kinda reminds me of an emo peasant a little bit, but he's alright. Nuri (supporting character, and love intrest??) is very naive, but is kind of adorable, and is an excellent contrast to Geron. Without Nuri, Geron would have been unbearable, but her cheeriness brings the development along well, and can also be a source of comedy relief at times.

There are many difficult puzzles!!! This is where the amatuer point and click fan should be aware! I had my phone open almost constantly with a guide while playing because I hate being stuck for more than five minutes (hey thats just the world we live in) there were a few times I used the guide and scratched my head saying "Who the hell would get that without help!?" So if you do decide to buy and play, its okay to use a guide and still be a hardcore gamer! I've beat portal, dark sould 1, and 2 and demon souls, etc. If you listen and talk to people while exploring everything you'll mostly be okay, its when you have 25 items in your inventory that things get tricky as some tasks require 6-10 items in a proper sequence to do properly :( not difficult guys, just punishing. Difficult games are fun, not punishing...

But I digress, the biggest dissapointment comes at the end, I won't spoil it but its kinda frustrating to get no closure from a ten hour game, like literally no dialogue is spoken by the main characters after the antagonist is defeated.

Worth it for the casual gamer, but not perfect!

(+) The artwork is superb, leading to a memorable atmosphere...
(-) But IMO the protagonist, in a more-or-less typical Daedalic-way, was slightly too easygoing to really get into the game.
(+) The story is captivating, some of the characters are interesting, the voice acting is OK...
(-) But neither is really that special. Given the great setting, there is a lot of room for improvement.
Puzzles are more challenging than those in e.g. Harvey's New Eyes, but easier than they were in e.g. Grim Fandango.

In short, this game could have been great, but it's decent instead. If you liked The Whispered World, or found that one a bit too quirky but loved the artwork, I'd certainly recommend this one. Otherwise... I don't know. Maybe if it's for sale.

7/10 - Plenty of good here

This point-and-click takes a reluctant and not very capable hero on an adventure through creatures, fairies, witches, and beyond. While the same "does this fit with this" business exists as does in nearly every game in this genre, Chains of Satinav manages to make them not seem as obvious. There are some puzzles that seem arbitrary in their solutions, but one puzzle (peacock, for those who have done it) was pretty magnificent. Lastly, I really liked Nuri the fairy.

The achievements are not impressive. Anything not story-related involves doing some redundant action xx redundant times. It also has two different complete playthrough achievements based on difficulty, which is something I don't understand for this type of game. Once the puzzles and mysteries are solved this makes the second playthrough purely tedious.

Very pretty art style which reminds me of games I played as a wee lad. Such as Curse of teh Enchantress and Innocent Until Caught but much more modern with a very absorbing story. Yup I very much recommend this one, however some of the puzzels can be a bit "wha?" at times and have you reaching for the solution online. Dont let it get you down if you do just enjoy the story.

The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav is one of the most interesting point n click games I've had the opportunity to play. Instead of adopting the humorous irreverence of many games in this genre, it opts for a far more fairy-tale/ storybook style that sits well in line with the Dark Eye setting.

In terms of narrative the game offers its own unique perspective on the traditional story line of rescuing the princess/fairy. It's by no means original, but the game developers and writers have done a good job integrating a fairly staid and trope filled story whilst still retaining their own artistic integrity. The immersion within the Dark Eye Universe is deftly handled, a great deal of information is revealed throughout the story, at first leaving the viewer slightly overwhelmed with lists of names of background characters but by the end of the story, it seems most of the lore has been left out so that the richness of the setting is hardly scratched.

The art direction is highly unique and is in fact Chains of Satinav greatest selling point. The backgrounds are simply exquisite, and the impressionistic rendering of the characters to suit their setting is simply unbelievable. The only issue is the animation, both the speaking and walking animations seem rather jerky and unnatural, probably as a result of the overdetailed character models. At first it is quite disconcerting to see the facial animations however as the game progresses the mind adapts to the irregularity and it becomes slightly less noticeable but still annoying.

As for the gameplay itself, the puzzle elements are particularly well done. Whilst there are still puzzles that seem to obey their own logic rather than true logic, they were fairly far and few between, and on the whole the solutions made a great deal more sense than some of the random item combinations that point n click games are known for. Although this seems to make the game a lot less difficult it also removes a great deal of the annoying item combinations and time wasting staring at inventories and clicking items on items is thankfully removed. The inclusion of the break and mend mechanics added a layer of complexity to the mix but didn't overcomplicate issues. As for the environmental puzzles they range from being fairly generic to two puzzles that were highly appealing due to their unique nature as well as incredible integration into the mythos. It was refreshing to find puzzles that adapted themselves to not only the world itself but served simultaneously as expanding upon the mythology.


As with most point n click games, once completed there isn't really much challenge which would entice a replay, however the charming fairy-tale like story could lead to a replayability factor in much the same way that we return to and revisit beloved children's stories.

In short it's highly recommended on the basis of it's art, story and puzzles but due to the fact that it is simpler than other point n click games will make it seem a lot shorter on time value.

Absolutely gorgeous point&click adventure. The story is a mixture between fairy tale and fantasy adventure set in the universe of the German Pen&Paper RPG 'The Dark Eye' and stunningly well told. Puzzels are logical and I only briefly got suck once or twice, more due to my own stupidity though rather than dodgy mechanics. If there would be one critique there is that the game doesn't really innovate the genre, so if you can't stand classic point&clicks or narratively driven games you might be at the wrong address. But seriously you should get this game for the writing alone!

The first of the games set in The Dark Eye universe, Chains of Satinav is a story about a young bird catcher, Geron, who is much maligned by his home kingdom of Andergast for supposedly being a bearer of bad luck. He seems to get his chance for some respect when he wins a local contest, only to run into a fairy by the name of Nuri, who eventually goes on the run with him as the Seer, an enemy thought dead 13 years ago, appears to be returning and out to capture her.

As someone who played the sequel, Memoria, first, the story probably lost some of its impact for me, especially since even disregarding spoilers, I think Memoria tells a more interesting story about time, not to mention the fact that Sadja is a better developed character than Geron. Regardless, if you find The Dark Eye universe at all interesting, I think the game is worth playing. The artwork is top-notch and the gameplay is, for the most part, reasonably intuitive.

Simple (if somewhat clichéd) classic point & click adventure. Beautiful art style, non-demanding puzzles, jovial banter and so on. The sequel (Memoria) also provides some closure for the main characters and story, instead of being completely separate 'in-universe' game, which is a great plus!

Bought the game when it's on 66% sale. Worth the money.
Recommended for adventure game lovers.

PROS
● Stunning graphics. Pretty sure this is the best value of the game.
● Nice, classic story.
● Nice background music.
● Fitting puzzle difficulty.
● Easy gameplay control, especially the scrollable actions / items selection.

CONS
● Little animation to show off and out-of-sync lipsync. It's not that big of an issue tough.
● Bland characters. They're not quite memorable.
● The ending is quite.. anticlimatic.

I had quite a fun time playing this game.
Would probably play the game again later someday.
The game itself is quite short, tough.

Fantastic fantasy story that really takes some dark turns as it unfolds. Character development is certianly second fiddle to the story but they do a decent job of showing Geron's evolution throughout and with response choice you get to make along the way. The art style is great too, perfect for the tone of this game. Highly recommended for any p/c adventure fans.
