Hi Guys and Gals!

Welcome to Ascending Madness. A game we are passionate about making and excited to have you experience soon!



The Idea behind Ascending Madness is to provide an extremely surreal and psychedelic adventure wrapped up in a fast and brutal shooter. We want to emphasize the use of not only skill and fast paced gameplay, but necessity of intelligent movement and weapon selection.

From now until the game’s release we will post an update here every month providing a glimpse into all of the new content we have added since last month.



As it currently stands Ascending Madness contains:
  • 3 Campaign Levels, “Cave Trip”, “Abandoned Facility”, and “Combat Cruise”
  • 6 Futuristic Weapons, including the “Pulverizer”, “Sniper Laser”, and “Flame Sword”
  • 6 Different Monstrosities to Battle, like “Ms Potts”, “Demon Frog”, and the “Behemoth”

Our plan from now until our Early Access Launch in August is to add:
  • A standalone Challenge Mode consisting of extra arenas separate from the campaign designed to be competed for High Scores against the community
  • An Additional Campaign Level
  • At least 1 more Weapon (there will be 8 total when done)
  • A 'Rune' System that allows for modifying and upgrading your 'Battlecraft's' abilities allowing different strategies and play styles to emerge

We are looking forward to hearing your thoughts, opinions, and suggestions throughout our early access development in an attempt to make Ascending Madness an amazing and unique 2D shooter!

対応として、前バージョンのセーブデータが存在している状態でロードすると
STEAMの実績取得情報から可能な限り進行を読み取り開始できる場面を選択できるようになっております。
その際にお詫びとしてアイテムに
・やべー元気の出るクスリ x1
・すげー落ち着くクスリ x1
・うめーおやつ x2
・ちょー甘い飲み物 x1
を追加した状態でゲームを再開させていただきます。(アイテムを受け取れるのは一度きりです)
そのためSTEAMをオンラインにした状態でゲームを開始することをお勧めします。

・新しいゲームを始める際に今までの進行状況から開始できる場面が選択できるようになりました。
・英翻訳を一部修正しました。

Save data from the previous version can no longer be used after the update. To help make up for the inconvenience, starting the game with a previous save will bring up a stage select screen based on how many progression achievements you have unlocked. Also, the first time you start a game like this, the items below will be added to your inventory:
Super Stimulant x1
Super Suppressive x1
Deluxe Candy x2
Super Sugary Drink x1
For this reason, it is recommended you are connected to Steam before playing again.

MudRunner - Iyagovos


Hello all!

It's time for another one of those regular Community Updates!

This time around, we're actually going to start off talking about something a little more immediate, and making an announcement!

We're happy to announce The Ridge, the second free DLC for MudRunner!

In The Ridge DLC, we'll be introducing a brand new map, two new vehicles, and, for the first time, a brand-new gameplay mode.

On The Ridge, you will find a towering mountain ridge that divides the map into two areas, and that is incredibly difficult to cross. This will be made trickier with the introduction of the two new vehicles, the D-538 and the B-6A. We will have more details on these vehicles in the future in individual vehicle profiles, but both vehicles will also introduce new add-ons to the game as well!

These new add-ons will help players tackle the difficult new game mode being introduced to The Ridge, Scavenge.

Scavenge mode, unique to The Ridge, is a mode where there are no log stations. This means that you won't be able to just collect logs and transport them. Instead, there are now random "scavenge locations". These locations are two or three locations that are randomly selected each time you start the map, and that spawn static logs which must be collected with a crane!



We don't currently have a specific planned release date for The Ridge, but we currently plan for a release date at the end of May. We will continue to add screenshots to this post as we have them to share with you.

As has become the norm for these community updates, I'll also let you know what the team are currently working on, and what to expect in the future.

We continue to work on MudRunner USA, and will have more information on this in the future, but we are currently looking into our options towards licensed vehicles for this.

We are hugely grateful to the dedicated and passionate modding community for helping us make MudRunner the best game it can be, but, for now, we're only exploring what options we have, no concrete plans to implement mods on consoles in the short run.

Lastly, the Nintendo Switch version of MudRunner is still in development, but we don't have much more to say about this currently.

BlastZone 2 - EagleEye
A new update has been released for BlastZone 2! (v1.28.1.1) This one focuses on lighting improvements for the new OpenGL 3.0 renderer. It now has multilight support, with hyper mode and beam weapons emitting light that reflect off enemies, bosses, items, and the cave background. The OpenGL 1.5 renderer always had multilight support, but it has been rebuilt for OpenGL 3.0 to look better and be more realistic. The golden hyper mode light is localized around the player, now properly attenuating on the cave background and for enemies nearby the player. All beam weapons now have light evenly emit from the entire length of the beam and properly attenuates as enemies and objects move further away from the beam.

Here are the full release notes for v1.28.1.1:
  • Added support for multiple simultaneous light sources in the OpenGL 3.0 renderer
    -The main areas this affects are on the cave background, enemies, bosses, and player ships
    -Additional light sources are used when Hyper mode is active, or when beams are fired
  • Updated the VertexLit shader to calculate lights per vertex instead of per pixel
    -This should have a minimal effect on image quality, while performing much faster
    -This offsets the additional calculations needed for processing multiple light sources
  • Fixed incorrect color used for Low detail alien planet clouds with the OpenGL 3.0 renderer
This update shows more of the kinds of effects now possible with the new renderer. If you haven’t read the announcement for the new OpenGL 3.0 renderer, I strongly suggest you do. As always, to ensure you have the latest update, start the game and check the lower left corner for “v1.28.1.1” or higher. Enjoy!
