Acerca deste jogo

Spoiler Alert is a video game that tests your platforming skills… in reverse. It’s a comedy platformer that you play backwards.

When you pick this game up, it has already been beaten. The big bad boss is defeated, the coins are collected and the princess has been rescued. Why, oh why?
Unraveling this mystery takes you through the entire game, from the last level to the first. You must uncollect the coins, revive the enemies and avoid nasty time paradoxes. In other words, you must uncomplete the game by playing it backwards.

Everything in this game is so familiar, yet so different and new. You have played it a thousand times before, and at the same time, you have never tried anything like it.

  • 100 Levels in 4 worlds
  • SpeedRuner Mode
  • Start playing at the end and make your way back
  • Classic platformer gameplay mashed with simple controls
  • Beautiful handdrawn graphics
  • Original soundtrack by Roland La Goy
  • Epic boss fights, upgrades and many different and unique enemies

Really awesome game. Enjoyed it a lot. Nice concept. Would have been great if the levels were longer and more.

Note: Go for the collectors edition as it contains editor for workshop aka more levels.

The next game would be called "Royaler Apert".

Story line: Chili Pepper Knight kidnaps Princess Tomato, but luckily, a plumber is here to bring back Princess Tomato!

Character: You are a plumber!

Goal: Defeat Chili Pepper Knight and save Princess Tomato.

Level Order:

1. World 1: Gnome Forest, Level order: 1-30, Boss: Mr. Deathbunny
2. World 2: Penguin Snowland, Level order: 1-30, Boss: Big Bad Squid
3. World 3: Alien Wasteland, Level order: 1-30, Boss: Lucky Jack the invader
4. World 4: Chili Pepper Knight's lair, Level order: 1-30, Final Boss: Chili Pepper Knight

Everything is normal (not reversed), all of the levels are mirrored, same stuff as Spoiler Alert, level editor, more achievements, more Steam Tading Cards, speedrunner mode, serious edition.

A very novel idea for a game -- implemented terribly.

The idea of the game is great -- play a platform game where your character starts at the end credits and travels back through time through the game while not creating any time paradoxes as you revert the game environment back to its pristine shape before your character played through. For example, as you play the game from the end credits back in time toward the start of the game your character must avoid the coins that were missed, "un-get" the coins that were collected, leave the monsters still alive, and jump on the monsters that are squashed (bringing them back to their pre-squashed selves)...

There are two main problems.
The lesser problem is simply the controls. On the plus side, the controls are simple as there's only two things your character can ever do -- jump or "action". But jumping, good grief, your character is so floaty! It just seems to be at an unnaturally slow speed, making any quick reaction jumps impossible.

Which leads to the main problem... since the jump action is so slow and floaty you can't quickly react to anything like bullets that suddenly appear or aliens that suddenly change direction. At best you have a sliver of time in which to react, but in many cases, you simply have to die, replay, and remember those "gotcha moments" and jump BEFORE those actions are even evident on screen! It just feels like cheating on the developers part trying to make for a "challenge".

This takes any skill or ability out of the game. It's "challenging" solely because it's impossible to react to something that hasn't happened yet on screen!

Thankfully the game is short. 42 minutes and the campaign is over. Another 6-8 minutes to wrap up the 4th bonus world and complete a few more achievements. (My remaining play time was simply the computer idling to get the cards.)

Summary: A great idea for a game but destroyed by having the player react to too many events that haven't even happened on screen yet. 5 out of 10.

"Fun reversed is still fun"
Spoiler alert is a little casual platformer flashgame in which you walkthrough levels reversed. Means you start at bossfights and end at easy levels. You jump on enemies to revive them, uncollect already collected coins and even catch your own shots that you've shooten once. It's hillarious fun to rethink the levels as they would have been in a normal run. The hectic ska/gypsy/marinachi soundtrack fits perfectly. Only problem if you make mistakes in levels there occurs a time paradox. Now you must repeat each missed level twice to get a gold status again. 3 worlds a 30 levels + 10 bonus levels (=100 levels altogether) and a speedrun mode. Beatable in 0.5-1.0 hours. For what you are asking more?

Got every achievement in 59 minutes, fun game to spend some spare time with or play between doing other things. It's too easy to have any replayability, it should be pretty good for little kids. It has a level editor kids can tinker with, or maybe you can make harder levels for them to beat. Not really interesting for adults though.

Not sure how I got it but I the couple bucks it costs is a fair price but feels kinda expensive because of how short it is, still recommend it though.

In Spoiler Alert, you play your Chili Pepper hero, and you must undo all your actions while avoiding time paradoxes. That is to say, revive your enemies, put back the coins, don't kill anything, don't pick up anything. All while running backwards, right to left.

It's certainly a creative concept, but it also means any errors you make require you to restart the level. Fortunately, the levels are short and simple, but I question whether this affected the game length. I 100%'d this game in just short of an hour, although I did not try the speedrunning mode, where you play the whole game in one go.

Overall, enjoyable, but I wouldn't expect to get too much time out of it.

This game is definitely a little on the short side. Even still, it was a really enjoyable game to play, with the whole game playing in reverse. For example, you have to "unkill" bad guys by jumping on them. It's definitely a weird gameplay mechanic and takes some getting used to, but it was, overall, a highly enjoyable experience.

A bit of a boring platformer whose quirk is that you're playing the game from the end to the beginning in rewind mode. It's fairly easy and just a bit tedious. Graphics are poor really.

While the conciet is fun, in practice it falls flat. Control has been reduced to two buttons, and is more akin to an endless runner than a platformer. Unfortunately what control does exist feels floaty, and at times unresponsive. On a 4:3 monitor too often challenges were more a result of memorization than reaction, proving ultimately unsatisfactory. Things might be better with a wider field of view.

Its not a terrible game by any means, its just not a terribly great one either.

Very cute game. That being said, it is still quite short, with completion time around 30 minutes (if you fail a lot). I would recommend it if you pick it up in a bundle or on sale, but it's hard to justify the $3 for 30 minutes of fun.

Spoiler Alert is a fun, abliet simplistic, platformer. Playing through the game backwards at a continuous pace makes this entirely a game of timing. Although both the art and gameplay are quite basic this game does have some charm to it. Its an inexpensive game that'll keep you entertained for about an hour. If you choose to go back and get all gold medals then there is even a little replay value.

Spoiler Alert.Obvious SPOILERS ahead,so alert blablabla.
Spoiler Alert is a game made by Megafuzz(?) where you play the game in reverse(starting from the ending back to the start.
But is it good?
Gameplay
Its your everyday jump n run except for when you have to dodge the enemys that are alive, and jump on those that aren't(to unkill them) same goes for the coins.
Now my main problem with this game is the Difficulty most of the game is very easy and every now and then you find 1 or multiple jumps that get you stuck for 10-20 minutes just to get through the tough timing of the jumps you have to perform!(Miss 1 enemy that was dead/1 coin that was collected and its a time paradox and you have to start over.) The Level editor is a mess(if you aren't 100% strict with your stuff you place its not working correctly) And it has alot of buggs in it. Did they even playtest it?
Overall/TL;DR
unbalanced gameplay, terrible level editor. Game is bad, move on with your life.

I like platformers, I like cards, and I like 100%ing a game. This fit all of those requirements.
What's bad is I was able to get every achievement before all the cards dropped.

Honestly, it's not half bad. sometimes it's difficult to do quick jumps in succession, but otherwise the controls are surprisingly smooth.
So the point:
1. Like cards? This is cheap and drops them.
2. Are you a completionist? I'm not great at games in general and had this done in an hour and a half.
3. Simple, but creative idea for a platformer.

Enjoy you spicy pepper you.

This was a fun cheap little game. The premise is quite unique as you are "uncompleting" the game; in other words, you are playing the game backwards. It's a simple platformer which you can uncomplete it within an hour or so. It's short, but understandbly short; after all, with the premise, you can only do so much with it before it becomes tedious. I don't think I'd play 10 hours of this. But for it's price, I'd say it's not so bad, though I did get it from a bundle. The mechanics of the game are fine, except for the fact that there is no restart button, if you want to restart a level you have to go back to the map and select the level from there.

Other than that, it's a fun little game to spend some time with. If anything, play the game for the mustached mariachi penguins and cyborg squids.

An interesting, funny well done platform game with an original concept!

I really enjoy platform games, specially when those offer a great time, and Spoiler Alert is one of those.
In this game you don't play from start to finish, you play backwards, which means you have to uncomplete the game in order to complete it. It sounds wierd for sure but once you play it, you will understand. The devs actually knew how to handled this very well. It actually surprised me how well crafted the game is, it is short and simple but it offers everything I want from a platform game.
The soundtrack is great, as well the artwork and menus. Everything in this game is on point. It also have trading cards and achievements. Is not really hard to get all of them and those offer a good replay value.
Workshop? Yes! You can play even more maps and make your own!

So for my final words, you should get Spoiler Alert! I don't really have any complains about it. It is amazing, funny, challenging and original. My score 10/10

This game is good for the price. 90 levels a speedrun mode (the top score is impossible pls remove it) there is the hacker in speed run The Big Dawg. He SUPPOSSEDLY BEAT THE GAME IN 00:00 With 0 PARADOXES. dont let the cheater get you down. just play the main story untill this hacker is removed.

This is fun, although the gameplay style of the imaginary person who played this before me makes no sense—why were they jumping over all those coins? :D Who knows, but as a response to everyone complaining about this game being short: I wish there were more short games like this. I don't have time for 20-hour games, and I like to finish games sometimes.

(This review was written with a playtime of 1.6 hours for the Collector's Edition)

?emag oediv a taebnu ot detnaw reve uoy evaH… ok I am sure someone has already made that joke.

Have you ever wanted to unbeat a video game? Is that a “No” I hear? Well now you can, thanks to Spoiler Alert.

Spoiler Alert is an auto-running 2d platformer where unlike any other game, you play through it backwards (thus the name Spoiler Alert). It is a decent casual game that took me about an hour to beat the main 3 worlds (all gold ratings), the extra mariachi levels (all gold ratings as well), and unlock all the Steam achievements. When you beat the main 3 worlds (or rather unbeat), you unlock the aforementioned mariachi levels and a speed run mode which allows you to play through all of the main worlds at once trying to obtain the fastest time possible. While it is short, there is Steam Workshop compatibility with the collector’s edition that allows you to create and download user created levels. The sad part is I couldn’t load the Workshop maps, and when I tried to make and save my own it crashed the game :( . RIP level… but anyways…

The game, like 10 Second Ninja, is designed to be comical. The art style is nice. The gameplay seems too slow, repetitive, and kind of boring. All you basically do throughout the whole game is jump. I would recommend that if you purchase this game you get the standard version unless you really want to make levels, have some wallpapers/game art, and have the games soundtrack.

I rate this game a 5/10
(The speedrun mode makes this somewhat more enjoyable)
