O tej grze

Space Run is a «real-time spaceship construction strategy game». Space Run takes the well-known Tower Defense-style gameplay and twists it, challenging you to manage and protect a spaceship and its cargo against the hazards of deep space!

Space can be a dangerous place. You’re one of the most daring «Space Transporters», people who carry the dangerous task of transporting valuable shipments from one place to another across hazardous space. This supposedly simple task gets tricky once you add dense asteroid fields that regularly cross the space lanes, the armed-to-the-teeth pirate starfighters and spaceships all too willing to shred your ship for your cargo, as well as the other Space Transporters you are competing against!

Take on increasingly difficult missions as your reputation grows: bringing more expensive cargo to their destination will earn you credits to unlock new ship modules and upgrades that will help you survive the lethal threats of space: laser turrets, missile launchers, protection shields, thrusters, power generators... you name it! You’ll have to quickly adapt to every new situations if you wish to survive, building modules on your ship as you fly across space. The faster you fly and reach your destination, the better your reputation, allowing you to unlock more difficult delivery missions!
Space Run boasts high replay value: replay earlier missions with the new modules you unlocked in order to complete them faster and score higher... and show your friends you’re the fastest, most daring Space Transporter ever!

Main Features:
• Accessible and extremely dynamic gameplay that puts a new twist on the well-known Tower Defense genre

• Build your spaceship on the fly to adapt to every situation, protecting your valuable cargo and beating your competitor in deadly delivery races

Gra premiuje ekspresowa dostawe dwu- i trzykrotnym mnoznikiem zyskow, warto wiec instalowac i ulepszac silniki.

Elementy tworzące statek to przede wszystkim uzbrojenie, moduły defensywne, tarcze, generatory mocy i silniki napędzające statek.

Poza standardową solidną, ciekawie urozmaiconą grą tower defense z pomysłem, dostajemy zabawne dialogi, ładną i kolorową grafikę, wyzywające i interesujące misje w kosmicznym stylu z jajem. Z czystym sumieniem, polecam! :-)

Space Run is a rather unique Tower Defense/Real-time strategy game where you place your towers on a ship travelling through space to fend off attackers from all directions. In Space Run assume the role of Buck Mann, a freelance Space runner who is now taking jobs for some of the biggest companies in the Universe dealing in anything from hazardous nuclear waste to VIP Space passengers.

+Nice graphics though aliasing looked a bit rough to me sometimes
+Well designed characters who all have interesting appearances
+Quite a lot of towers to unlock over the course of the game using points earned by completing missions, bonus points can be earnt by completing the missions within certain time limits which just requires putting more engines on your ship
+All towers have several upgrades which can be unlocked in the same way as the towers themselves can be unlocked
+Different ship layouts as well as a wide variety of enemies each with their own style of attack keeps you on your toes throughout the game
+This game relies heavily on your ability to effectively plan which is nice to see rather than it just being mindlessly placing towers all over the place, sadly some of the game's negative aspects really take away from this
+Despite not having much of a story the dialogue between characters is very good
+Excellent voice acting
+Some really funny lines
+Each mission is relatively short making a game or two a perfect time killer

+/-Figuring out where you should put your cargo on your ship can sometimes be very challenging especially when a number of different cargo towers have to be placed in close proximity to other towers, personally I found this to be rather irritating but some might see this as another interesting level of gameplay
+/-You start with a blank ship which has a different layout each time, I found this quite disappointing as I would have liked to have had one ship which I carried through the game upgrading it over the course of all the missions

-Weapon re-orientation (for the few weapons which can actually be re-oriented) is quite poor and the towers can only be placed at certain angles, combine this with vision cones which aren't very wide at all and placing and maintaining your weapons as well as making your ship combat effective quickly becomes very tedious
-No way to pause the gameplay without bringing up the menu so if you need to move things around on your ship during a battle you're probably going to take significant damage while doing so
-From what I have played so far unless you're a perfectionist who needs to get the best possible score on each mission this game hasn't got very much replayability but it does have around 20 hours worth of content so perhaps that isn't such a big issue
-Missions very quickly become very repetitive as they are all very similar apart from the order of enemies

Verdict:
7.5

An interesting twist on a classic genre with nice graphics and a lot of unlockables that has a couple of issues regarding gameplay but one I had fun with nonetheless.

I am a bit mixed about this game, but overall I would not recommend it.

At first, you would expect the game to be possibly Rouge-like or a Tower-defense game with no specific story in mind. After you've realized that this is not the case and you're given a specific ship template per storyline mission, you then think: "Well, even without the sandbox ability to create your own ship, the missions do get progressively harder and you do get cool upgrades as the game progresses." You then realize, that there are only 5 different types of missions and the upgrades become less relevant after completing all of the weapon upgrades.

Mid-way into the game, you start to get frustrated by how unforgiving and repetitive the missions are and it simply becomes a memorization game where you memorize where the waves come first and plan accordingly to achieve the much desired 5 star rating. You start to rely on hotkeys to fend of waves of new enemies that come in every 10 seconds and you have no time to pause the game (no pause button) or just look at your ship in great detail. Only at the end of the mission, do you have any time to realize the beauty of your ship, but by that time you're so frustrated that you just want to get to the next mission.

In the end, I had to view walk-through videos for the last 5 missions since I was simply tired of memorizing when each wave comes in and when to build what structures at what locations accordingly. The upgrades became worthless after the last 10 missions since your guns do not get stronger, but the enemy gets tougher and more numerous.

Overall, it was a cool looking game and a good concept. However, I don't think it was a good idea to leave out the sandbox ability of building your own ships and how tough the time limits are for the 5 star missions.

Tower Defense on rails....in spaaaaaaace (sorry couldn't resist)

Space Run is a fun little game albeit one that could be aided with a $5 price drop.

Pros:
-Addictive tower defense gameplay, if you like the genre you will probably like this game.
-Different ship layouts as well as enemies keep you on your toes and force players to change strategy.
-Good visuals, the game doens't try to be a graphical powerhouse but lines are sharp, the colors are bright and the almost lego art direction has a happy and poppy feel to it which I enjoyed.
-Quick rounds make this the perfect game to play while just trying to kill 15 minutes.
-A fair amount of levels and a scoring system that adds replayability to each stage.
-Ship layouts pay homeage to classic starships of popular culture.
-Experienced no glitches or technical hiccups.

Cons:
-It's a shade overpriced for what it is. I have a lot of games and I enjoyed this one but I have also paid less for more on other titles. I'm not saying it's a bad deal or the price is a major issue I just think it should probably be a few bucks cheaper.
-Dialogue and story are basically non existent. Just a few text boxes and a shallow plot. Some of the jokes are funny in a cheesy way but I found myself skipping through a lot of it.
-Not enough big ships. The game gives you a smaller playingh field than most TD games which makes you have to change your towers often especially at later levels. This is fine but it would have been cool to have a few more late game ships of a bigger size I think.

All in all I do recommend Space Run and had a very fun time w/it. Tower defense on rails was an interesting concept and one that worked well for the developers. I hope the game ended up profitting as little games like these often get sequels and I wouldn't mind hauling cargo through the galaxy again IF it were on a larger scale next time.

One game one mission one scripted way through it.
Replayability = 0
and during the missions you practically have no time to experiment. One misplaced item and you're toast.

The fact that you can't reorient the weapons more easily, even the guns that are specifically meant to be reorientable, makes the game feel more like whack-a-mole than some kind of strategy neo-tower defense kind of thing that it tries to be. I can't say I enjoyed my time here too terribly much.

That said, the production quality was pretty alright. If you _really_ like tower defense, you might enjoy this more than I did.

Less of a "Tower Defense" and more of a "Point Defense" with a tactical twist. You build onto free hexes on your ship, as you fly towards your goal, and try to defend yourself and your cargo from a constant barrage of enemies. Competently amusing story-dialogues, and genuinely exciting bossfights spice it up rather nicely.

The challenge is derived from the way the game forces you to split your considerations while managing a limited budget: You must choose between weapons, defenses, engines, and other specific considerations based on the "client" you are running the mission for. Focusing on firepower is easy enough, but youll lose speed and get a lower score, which limits your tech-tree advancement. Focusing on speed will get you killed. Choosing the right pieces, at the right times, is vital to getting the best outcome. This becomes more difficult as the game advances, because larger/more-advanced constructions require various levels of power, and because components must be built adjacent to each other in certain ways to function.

If I had to complain about anything in this game, it would be that there is no "free-play" or "random" mode. Only the campaign exists, and there is no variance withing said campaign. Once you have played all of the levels once, all there is to do is to go back and play them each again, and try to get a higher score. The game ended, for me, before I was ready to put it away, and I was sad to see that no expansions or DLC exist to get more playtime out of it.

But, to say that a game was good enough that it left me wanting more is a compliment in its own right. Definitely worth the price at 15 dollars, and maybe worth more.

This game is a strange conversion of Astroid Defense and Tower defense.

The sound effect is in this game is awesome but the commentary from your character and robot gets repetitive after a few games. There is nearly no story and you need to spend time farming levels to get enough credit to upgrade your ship.

The action is very intense. Even though i played easiest diffciulty it still seems pretty hard. You just simply don't have enough time to build new component and use ability. To play this game effectivly you must learn to use fast key shortcuts.

To complete each level plan out your ship before it launch. I actually have a piece of scarp paper that i draw the basic layout that i want my ship to look like and set it beside my monitor before ship launch. Depend on where enemy come from just change the pace on what to build first. Planning is very important for this game since action is very fast intense after just a few levels.

I would recommend everyone to try this game out.

An exciting and fast-paced inverse tower defense game. One of the best I've played.

Many tower defense games have you set up towers and then watch as they do their thing while you have minimal interaction with them. This is quite different - every tower has one or more abilities that can be activated, and you will constantly be triggering abilities and building things during the game. There is no downtime. Personally, I find most TD games a little dull and found the frenetic gameplay of this one to be a refreshing relief. However, people who like more traditional TD games may be turned off by the micromanagement.

Much of the technique involves memorizing the build order -- you play a mission once, lose, then try it again while knowing what will attack when.

Normal mode was fun but a bit easy. Hard mode was poorly balanced - you gain resources so slowly that you need to replay missions a lot to unlock new ones and the grind is not fun.

There is about 20 hours of content here, which will stretch out to about 30 if you want to get a perfect score in each level. It is well worth the purchase price.

If you are new to the genre of tower defense or tend to stay clear of them, you may want to give this game a try. It is not your standard cut and paste tower defense game and has quite a bit to offer. Full of nods to the SciFi space genre and plenty of campy lines from the story line will keep your attention as you battle from simple to insane! At he time of this review, I have just completed the last achievement and 5 star for every mission. Loved every minute of it, even when I was swearing at the screen for my failed attempts.

Amazing towerdefense game... If you stop to think about it, yea its a deploy turret, kill, earn, deploy type of game.

BUT!!

they added 1 thing that completly changed the classic boring tdf into something tough that baddies cry about. Movement...
yes... with movement you have to constantly think about building thrusters to get a better time and with that, more money. Plus you can work with thrusters to slow the ship while giving you time to finish missions. Its actually sad to see people struggle so much with this game. But its awesome for hard core tdf fans.

Brilliantly crafted and makes an old concept new and refreshing. Its not only graphics or intensity, but the whole customization/priority mechanic that will get you running more missions.

Definetly a game i want to see a sequel or some dlcs to.

Basicly the classic we like in a refreshingly new serving.

Highly addicting and an interesting take on the tower defense genre. Gameplay was solid and enjoyable. I had little difficulty five starring the missions. I found that many of the various "towers" were either used little or not at all. Still, the diversity is there so you can try different loadouts. I pretty much stuck with the same emplacements throughout the whole game, only having to adjust it when a specific cargo got in the way of my usual layout.

As you progress through the game you will unlock numerous upgrades and new emplacements which you can use on previously completed levels if you are having trouble. A nice touch was that while in a mission you can see the various mission times mapped out as you travel (IE Normal, Lightspeed times) so you could see in real time how you are doing. If you see yourself falling behind it is easy enough to allocate more engine power and fire up the afterburners to make up the time.

All in all, a fun game. If you're a fan of tower defense games and want to try something new check it out.

You are Pizza Hut in space! No, oh right, you're just a delivery guy, delivering...stuff. Lots of stuff, people, nuclear waste, cargo, whatever they toss your way. The point is to get that stuff to its destination, fast and in one piece. Easy right? No. Not so much. Passtech has done a moderately decent job at taking a genre and making it fun. You cant just drop a bunch of guns and missiles and plow your way through, it actually takes some level of thought to get from point A to point B. The genre is overcrowded and after awhile it gets tired, but this spin, like i said, is pretty fun. So, in the spirit of hateful rants, here is what i hate about this game:

You cannot zoom the camera. Zoom would be nice, cuz, you know, it gets crowded.
Your ship is a fixed point in the game, everything moves around it, which was annoying

Thats it, thats all i can gripe about. Its challenging, graphics are good, sound is...well there is always room for improvement there. A few issues with the guns not responding, but overall a decent game for the price. Keep in mind, it is still nothing more than tower defense.

I got this for free with a purchase off Newegg, but it's totally worth the $20 it costs. I've already put 28 hours into it and have what I assume is 5 more missions before I beat the game. Fun spin on tower defense...everyone's moving, not just your enemies.

Controls are intuitive and graphics are nice. Wish I could see a leaderboard so I could compete against my friends, and also wish it had a "go back 10 seconds" ability, but that's also kind of cheap, so I'm not too bent out of shape.

Overall this is a very enjoyable tower defense game. The gameplay is fast and frantic and rewards planning your build out ahead of time.

My primary criticism would be the lack of replay. There are 30 missions and once you've gotten 5 stars on them there's very little replay value.

So overall I would recommend this game although I'd say watch for it to go on sale rather than paying full price.

I really enjoyed this game. Quirky with it's own established graphics and feel, the game is a pleasure to play in terms of aesthetics.

In terms of gameplay I found the levels challenging and fun. Though some have complained that there's only one route to complete a level, I've found the exact opposite to be the case. I've replayed every level looking to find the best routes through it; there are quite a few ways to approach most levels.

The downside to this game? Just as you're feeling like you're getting into it, it ends. The game would really, really benefit from a level editor, multiplayer competitive scoreboards, or even just another 30 levels.

All in all an emersive and fun game with challenging levels and some really sweet music. The end-level music was a particularly nice piece.
