Dungeon Defenders II - [TrendyEnt] iamisom
Thanks for all your feedback these last few days! We've gotten so much valuable information on the game and its difficulty that we can't wait to iterate and make the entire game as rewarding and fun as possible.

It's recently come to our attention that some of you (thanks so much!) have already found some exploits in Nightmare Mode. In order to continue to obtain good feedback on the difficulty of Nightmare Mode through the weekend, we will temporarily be restricting loot on Nightmare mode to only Special Enemies.

BUGFIXES
  • Temporarily restricted loot in Nightmare Mode to only Special Enemies.

Thanks again Defenders, and keep the feedback coming! We'll have fixes for your other issues and a more long term solution for this one in the future.

Chasm - Discord Games

Ever since the original prototype, Chasm has begun with a short text crawl followed by Daltyn entering the town of Karthas. We've always tried to stick to a "play it, don't say it" philosophy, and after studying up on Joseph Campbell's hero's journey we realized that the Outpost that Daltyn is stationed at was the perfect place to begin an epic adventure. The Outpost lies on the border between the rival kingdoms of Guildea (Daltyn's homeland) and Delkath, and is an important strategic position in the long-running war between the two. Starting there will not only give you a taste of Daltyn's life before the journey, but also help establish the lore of the world more deeply. We'll be showing off more of the Outpost in the coming months, but for now enjoy the first look at its courtyard!

GIFs

We've been hard at work on new content for the past couple months, as well as doing some overall improvements and polish to the game. The next few GIFs show off a couple enemies you will encounter in the Gardens, as well as many improvements we've made such as new hit effects and shaders, dynamic dust particles, improved damage stats, dramatic freezing for important events, and more. Please keep in mind these are downsampled from 60 to 30 FPS, so they aren't nearly as smooth as it will be in-game!





We usually only show off the more polished stuff, but we thought you all might like a little peak behind the scenes to see how things are made! The following GIF was recorded in a debug room we use to develop and tune the mechanics of the game. It features a new Wall Jump ability, hard landings, pushable obstacles and more!

A new Dino Dossier has been revealed, this one is everyone’s favorite eggcellent carnivore, the Oviraptor!

Hello Survivors!

On Saturday the 1st of August 2015, this new mode will be debuted worldwide at 12pm PST. We will be hosting the debut tournament, with 35 Teams competing for cash, prizes and the SoTF title!

This event will be hosted from Twitch headquarters by our very own Kayd “TheRightHand” Hendricks and Twitch’s pro-commentator Alex “Goldenboy” Mendez! They will be casting a live five-hour tournament where thirty five teams will step into the ARK arena to compete in this PvP ‘Hunger-Games’ style death match where the last tribe standing will receive a grand prize of $20,000 along with killer gaming gear from Logitech and Gunnar Optiks!

Contestants begin in a neutral staging area where they can communicate pre-game, strategize, or trash talk. After a count-down, they’ll descend from the sky onto the ARK where they fight for their lives and determine who the last tribe standing is!

We're releasing this update on time! With last week's update just days ago, this update is a little brief but the impact is in truth quite substantial. Lets get down to it!

In the last update we introduced grapplers but we had many more plans for them. By working tirelessly we've made all your grappler dreams possible. First of all grapplers can now be equipped to the new "Gadget" slot and be quickly used with "G" (Equipment is now on U). We figured 1 grappler type isn't enough so now there are 20 different grapplers. You're probably now thinking, "Wait? How can there be 20 different types of grapplers? How do they even differ?" Well, instead of telling you why don't I show you.

Right now we know there are two main issues with grapplers:
  • They do not work in multiplayer
  • It is hard to tell when a grappler is on cooldown

Another major change we added in this week is the ability to collect Way Crystals and create new ones. However, there is a cost to moving them so you can't freely move them about. Way Crystals are not Nomads.
