Chess has just been updated with online play through Steam!

You can now start an online game, invite a Steam friend, or join a friend’s game and play a relaxed chess match together.

This is our first online beta, focused on simple friend-based play with no time limit. It is designed for casual, friendly matches while we continue improving the online experience.
