What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We are Luca and Leo, two passionate French developers (17 and 20 Yo), and together we've created Bodycam, an ultra-realistic multiplayer FPS game utilizing the latest features of Unreal Engine 5, we have pushed the boundaries of photorealism. Our mission is to deliver an intense, immersive, and teamplay-oriented experience that stands out from other games in the genre. And we are very proud of the result !

We've chosen Early Access for several reasons:

  • Community Support: Your involvement is crucial. By participating in Early Access, you can directly influence the development of Bodycam, helping us refine and enhance the game. Your feedback will be instrumental in making Bodycam more immersive and exciting.

We guarantee that your suggestions and feeback will be taken into account, Luca and Leo think that everyone has a say.
This is why our roadmap will evolve and we will add “community requests” directly into it!

  • Continuous Improvement: We aim to create the ultimate tactical FPS experience, and your feedback will help us achieve that. Whether it's bug fixing, adding new game modes, expanding our arsenal, or introducing new maps, your input will guide our development.

  • Engagement and Collaboration: We want to build a strong, active community around Bodycam. Your engagement and daily interactions will help us align the game with your expectations and preferences.

Join us in Early Access to shape the future of Bodycam and help us create the ultimate ultra-realistic multiplayer FPS experience!

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

We anticipate that Bodycam will be in early access for few years, depending on community feedback and the improvements we want to make. The final version will be significantly different from the early access version, with many new features and additions that will make the experience even more immersive.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

Currently, the early access version is in advanced state of development, with exceptional graphics and smooth and intuitive gameplay.

However, we still have a lot of work to do to add new game modes, weapons, and features based on community feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

  • Gameplay: Immersive, realistic (not a simulation), and intense FPS focused on teamplay.
  • Graphics: Next-gen technologies with photorealistic visuals using Megascans from Quixel Bridge.
  • Game Modes: Deathmatch (up to 10 players), Team Deathmatch (5vs5), and competitive Body Bomb mode (5vs5), with more modes to come post-release.
  • Weapons: Shotguns, submachine guns, assault rifles, flashbangs, and grenades, with additional weapons planned post-release.
  • Maps: Varied environments including urbex buildings, shooting ranges, airsoft fields, and forests, all designed to promote teamplay and strategic diversity.

For more details on the features and content currently implemented, please refer to the "About This" section.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

The price of Bodycam could change after early access. We want to offer a quality gaming experience at an affordable price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

We are excited to involve the community in the development process.
We will regularly release updates and fixes, and we are open to all constructive suggestions and criticisms from players. We want to create a game that meets the expectations of FPS fans, and we are confident that early access is the best way to achieve that.

Roadmap

BODYCAM EARLY ACCESS ROAD MAP FOR 2024

We are excited to present our roadmap for 2024, starting with the release of Bodycam in early access.

Since Q2 is already well underway and ends in late June, it isn't as packed as the other periods. However, this will give you an idea of the direction we're heading and the points we're revealing today.

At the start of each quarter, we will launch community requests, allowing you to vote for the best ideas to be integrated into the game. These ideas will come from the suggestions channel on Discord. Where everyone can create suggestions and vote for their favorites.

It's important to note that this roadmap is not set in stone, and we will likely add new features based on our progress. This roadmap was determined as if we continued to work as a team of two, but with ongoing recruitment, the roadmap will expand in the future!

You can soon find more detailed points on our website. We won't reveal everything, as we want to keep some surprises for you, and because in game development, it's possible to deviate a bit from the initial plan.

Thank you all, you can already start making suggestions now, and the first community request will begin in early July!

Have a great day, and see you in-game!
