Delivery Drones

9 Setembro

Even before the invasion pilots could quickly send a small cargo container to the station with the help of special drone. Unfortunately, most of the drones are now destroyed, but some of them still offer their services. For a modest fee, of course.

Story

Three thousand years have passed since the first colonists left Earth. Now the galaxy is divided between the militant star empires and independent mercenary groups. In a remote corner of the galaxy — Sector 1337, the area of the dead — a world has been left behind. Here, the ruins of a great civilization of Aliens have recently been discovered. Huge factories and sprawling cities are falling into decay. Fragments of ships lie on the fields where massive battles were once fought. But there is not a living soul. Everything has been destroyed by a mysterious Cataclysm — a pulsing anomaly that burned out all life within this sector.

This doesn’t stop mankind, the new «owner» of the Universe. Mercenaries and adventurers have flocked to the sector to sift through the ruins and loot its abandoned artifacts, without consideration of the danger. Many have disappeared — including members of well-armed expeditions — but those who have managed to return have uncovered unprecedented riches. So looters continue to come here, to find the Aliens’ lost treasures — and to fight for them.

Alright, so I am re-writing this review again, and I am still not recommending it but I would like to add a lot of positive things to this review as my intent with these reviews is not at all to hate on the game, but to see the game succeed. This game truly has had ups and downs but I think that at the end of the day, It still is a good game. Star Conflict is one of my favorite games of all time, but the past few months the game has actually gotten worse in some ways. This review is titled as a “Not recommended game”, but it’s not a bad game. I don’t recommend it because I do not like what the developers are doing with the game.

A good chunk of the game has become a Pay-To-Win; they keep on adding ways to spend your money in-game. With more and more Premium Ships and “Ship Bundles” and all kinds of little game booster packs and all these “Specials Weekends”. Try to avoid wasting your money on them. However if you really want some Premium credits, wait for the DLC Packs to go on sale. Not worth it at full price. But I do understand that it is a free game and Stargem needs to make money, but it is just driving me crazy because They are spending more time on adding ways to get players to spend money on the game than they are actually developing the game! They also recently added a game mode called Invasion; This includes Aliens, Pirates, Police, lots of new rare items, an open space world that allows you to go across the sectors in the game and dock in the 3 faction’s stations and all kinds of cool stuff like that. This new game mode has a lot of potential, but holy crap is it a pain to play. All the experience holds is getting killed and losing everything you spent hours collecting, getting ♥♥♥♥♥ by Aliens, and very rarely gaining supplies that allow you to make better modules and upgrades. Not that fun, and not worth it. I won’t let that change my view on the game for now as they’re still developing it, but it needs a lot of work.

Also note you should never get too comfortable with the updates; expect change. However it is still a very fun and addicting game. It is still a good game. (With maybe a little too much grinding involved...) But Stargem just needs to stop trying so hard to get people to spend money on the game. I would give the actual game itself an 8.5/10 :]

Also, not that this has anything to do with the review, so excuse me for this, but I'd like to throw on a link to my Star Conflict channel trailer on YouTube. :D Check it out if you'd like. Thankya.

I've been putting a lot of hours into this game. It's generally good game in terms of gameplay, variety and battles but I'll list out the major cons:

-Extremely grindy

-Despite being called "free to play", people can just pay and advance to higher tiers/ranks. Lets call them Wallet players

-Wallet players who reach higher tiers will get all implants (implants are like the point system tree in borderlands, payday 2 etc)

-Wallet players who have all these implants can go back to lower tiers, are pretty much invincible and have the upper hand in every battle. YOU WILL GET YOUR ♥♥♥ HANDED TO YOU.

Now you may ask Oh my, why would they come back to lower tier games and spoil our fun?. I'll tell you why...
People think this game is really free to play and come into the lower tiers which are the only popluated matches available for instant battles. So the wallet players will just come into lower ranked games because nobody wants to wait 5 minutes for match. This is unsportive behaviour.

-The game developers only seem to update the game in a way that favours wallet players.

-Extra synergy (synergy is experience, you need this to access higher rank ships and higher tiers) cannot be transferred to ships which dont have full synergy. If you want to, you need to pay a lot of money.

-Upgrading weapons to the max requires loyalty points (these can be done by doing special challenges like 'kill 3 ships in one battle'. These challenges are called contracts) And this requires another longg rinding process because contracts can only be done certain times. Some contracts can only be done once per day. Or you can just pay money and upgrade your weapons.

-The game has an option to enable the profanity filter to filter explicit words for the faint hearted man-children. Despite this, uttering an explicit word in a moment of frustration will get you chat muted. This has happened to me countless times.

Now you might say "Oh you're just talking out of your behind, there's no such thing as paying to get an advantge in this game!"

You are either blind and didn't read all the above

OR

You already spent a ♥♥♥♥ton of money on the game and are comfortable knowing that you spent $$$ on digital flying machines.

ANY game that offers you the chance to pay money and progress in any way that puts you in a place that is unreachable to the common player without tremendous grinding is known as "Pay to win". And this game is a shining example of it.

Abusive Admins. WARNING!!!!!

I previously recommended this game, but I can no longer do that in good faith. I was talking in chat, stated an opinion and was muted by an admin for an hour because he wanted to "prove a point." Read some of the other reviews. This is a pretty common issue.

UPDATE: I've now been permanently banned from the discussion page by a moderator because of this. I'm honestly shocked at the blatent abuse of admin privileges. It's a shame because I did enjoy playing this game up until this point.

The game is very very monotonous. Basically it is like a team domination game (like in unreal tournament) but in space, with very unbalanced players, and when you rank up you will have to start over again to build up your new ship. All the points you earned in previous battles wiht your last ship cannot be transferred (unless you pay), weapons from your last ship rarely can be transferred an basically you do the same over and over again. Anyway, you can give it a try during a couple of days like I did until you get bored.
