Nuclear Dawn - Viper
We have just released the next update for Nuclear Dawn, bringing it to version 6.2. Most importantly this update brings graphic enhancements to all maps, for the commander new Player, Structure boost research and Squad chat plus lots of other fixes:

<b>New Features:</b>

Added new commander research items
Player Boost I, II, and III
Structure Boost I, II, and III
Commander Abilities II and III
Added support for giving default commander orders to whole team.
Added support for squad-only chat (default I).
Added new portable Radar Kit item for Support BBQ.
Places on ground like ammo or health kit.
After deployment, it extends radar range, uncovering units and structures in fow.
Lasts after death, but can be destroyed by enemy (will disappear on class change).
Added Play Now feature to allow quick joining into an optimal server, considering ping and player count.
Added optional compass display to HUD.

This one has more balance and bugfix changes, and more responses to the "worst unit" polls. This time, the Mobile Repair Station gets some overdue love. Most substantially with this release, however, are some bug/balance fixes relating to the AI and how it gets reinforcements.

Those were being held artificially low on certain difficulties, in certain circumstances, and when the AI had certain ships. So we fixed the glitch, and this will just work itself out naturally. Haha. In some recent versions, players were wondering why we were being so nice to the player team in terms of balance changes; well, now the other shoe drops, I guess!

It's not all that bad, really, but it's nice to sound ominous sometimes.

Hello everyone,

In a few weeks, April will see a special Nation Red update.

In the meantime, version 1.96 has just been released by Valve:

- Added Survival Mode to On-line coop games + enabled leaderboard (hardcore mode - lots of running enemies)

- Fixed 'Right-Hand Man' and 'Payback' achievements

- Adjusted Powerup Hook and Snare in multiplayer games

- Players who join a multiplayer game in-progress are given a Cloak perk when they join to be invisible for some time to prevent a sudden death

- Shared Xp now gives correct Xp in multiplayer games. High-scores in Shared Xp are now as easy/difficult as in non-Shared Xp mode

- Push to Talk can be bound to a gamepad button

- Most achievements should now be trackable even during coop games

- Several small bug fixes
