Why Early Access?

“We want to develop Son Dem together with its players. Early Access will help us improve the tabletop games, coffeehouse atmosphere, and social interactions through real player experiences. Feedback on gameplay, connection stability, performance, and usability will play an important role in shaping our development priorities.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Early Access to last approximately 6–12 months. This is an estimate and may change depending on development progress, testing results, and player feedback. Our priority is to improve the core experience and its stability before moving to a full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“For the full version, we plan to substantially improve the coffeehouse environment, character and object models, and animations. Our development goals also include hair, face, and clothing customisation, additional locations, more tabletop games, and game modes with different rule sets. We aim to deliver a broader and more polished experience. The scope and order of these plans may change during development.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Son Dem is in an early alpha stage. The current version supports up to 20 players in the same coffeehouse. Backgammon supports 2 players per table, 101 Okey supports 4, and chess supports 2. Spectator seating, voice chat, and text chat are also available. The core gameplay mechanics are playable, while visuals, models, and animations are still in development. Players may encounter bugs, performance issues, and connection problems.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. We plan to increase the price when the game leaves Early Access, taking into account the additional content and improvements made during development.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to use the Steam Community Hub and discussion forums to collect bug reports, suggestions, and player feedback. These contributions will help us identify problems and evaluate development priorities. We also intend to share development news and important changes through Steam announcements. While we cannot implement every suggestion, community feedback will help shape the game's development.”
