A first-person sci-fi social deduction game for up to 8 players. Fix the ship, watch your crewmates, then accuse and vote out the infected. Or be Patient 0: lie, sabotage and vanish. A co-op mode swaps the traitor for a hunter and a ticking clock.

About This Game

Synthetic Quorum is a first-person social deduction game for up to 8 players, set aboard a starship caught in a loop.

Earth is in ruins. The Dorothy 442b is one of eight sleeper ships sent to found the first human colony on Kepler-442b. Its captain swore humanity would get it right this time. The human crew sleeps in hibernation while the Synthetics, the Terrys and Traceys built to look after them, keep the ship alive. You are one of them. Then the Dorothy flew into a wormhole, and the day started repeating.

Every loop ends differently. Some days the ship collapses around you. Others, an infection is loose and the crew has to reach a quorum to find who is carrying it. Either way, the fight is the same: survive.

On a Quorum day, one of you is Patient 0. Everybody works the ship, and everybody watches everybody else. Most jobs are played on a station's own screen, so anyone can walk up behind you. Calibrate a reactor. Route syrup through a honeycomb. Sort the crew's email. Some jobs take you all over the ship: rats in the gutters, giggling gnomes in hiding, leaking pipes, something paranormal that only burns under a flashlight.

The crew wins by filling the task bar, ejecting Patient 0, or curing them with an Antidote built from three hidden shards. So watch the bar. If a crewmate finishes a task and it never moves, they were only pretending.

Every living Synthetic can call one meeting a match. The whole crew gathers at the octagonal table in COMMAND CENTER to accuse, defend and vote. Name a suspect, then name their fate: a minute in a laser cell, or ejection into space while everybody watches. Eject the wrong Synthetic and you've just done Patient 0's job for them.

Synthetics were built to be docile. Patient 0 is the exception. They go through the motions, nod along at meetings and tag crewmates when nobody is looking. Infect one and, unless somebody cures them in time, they turn to your side. Kill the lights, lock every door, wear a crewmate's look or vanish for a while. Then take your seat at the table looking innocent.

On a Collapse day nobody is a traitor and the ship is coming apart. Finish the tasks before the clock runs out. The catch: one of the sleepers has woken up, and they're hunting you. They turn invisible, lay mines, drain your battery from behind and drag you off to a cell. Get caught twice and you're compacted. Shoot back if you can find them. Play with friends, or solo.

Everything runs on your battery. Names stay hidden unless you spend it to read them, and the radio, the flashlight and every shot drain it too. Fire a finger gun that freezes a Synthetic where they stand and ricochets off the walls. Grab loose objects and hurl them (some of them explode). Feed the compactor and its roulette pays out gear. Or pick the lock on the ship's one locked cabinet, and hope you don't slip, because it blows up if you do.

The crew left a trail: mission logs, private mail and personal files, all kept in the crew archive on COMMAND CENTER's big screen. Unlock the logs and sort the Dorothy's inbox to piece together who they were. A captain with a promise to keep. A doctor who built the Synthetics. A crew that didn't all believe in the mission.
