What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Daycare Simulator is a game we want to build together with our community. Early Access gives us the opportunity to involve players while the game is still in development and to use your feedback to help shape its future.

The core experience is already in place, but there is still plenty we want to expand, refine, and improve. During Early Access, we plan to continue adding new toys, furniture, activities, customization options, gameplay systems, and other content while polishing the overall daycare experience.

Player feedback will be especially valuable in helping us understand which features are the most enjoyable, where the game could use more depth, and what would make running and growing your daycare even more fun.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I expect Daycare Simulator to remain in Early Access for approximately 12 to 18 months. As a solo developer, I’d rather provide an honest and flexible estimate than commit to a date that may not reflect how development evolves. The exact length of Early Access will depend in part on player feedback and which features, improvements, and additions the community would most like to see. I’ll share regular development updates so you can follow the game’s progress”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“For the full release of Daycare Simulator, I plan to expand on nearly every part of the game with new content, deeper systems, and further polish.

Newborns are planned for a future update. The current version focuses on babies and toddlers.

The current selection of children is still growing, with additional children planned throughout Early Access, each with their own personality, alongside more parents with additional dialogue, interactions, and story moments.

Staff and employees. Hire employees to help manage the daycare as your business grows, using the Employees section of the management browser (currently not available).

More land to expand into. Additional neighbouring plots will become available to purchase, giving you even more room to grow your daycare, garden, and property.

Animations, artwork, audio, and general presentation will continue to receive improvements and polish throughout development. As the game is still in Early Access, you may encounter bugs or unfinished elements. bug reports are actively reviewed and reported issues will be addressed throughout development.

Community-driven additions. Player feedback during Early Access will help shape new features, improvements, and quality-of-life changes along the way.
”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Run a full day at your daycare. Parents arrive in the morning to drop off their little ones and return in the evening to pick them up. Every parent has their own personality, and the way you interact with them can affect your reputation and whether you receive any tips.

Care for babies and toddlers. Warm bottles and feed babies, change diapers, and keep them entertained with toys. Toddlers can wander around the daycare, play independently, and interact with each other. The happier the children are, the happier their parents will be.

Grow your daycare business. Your income depends on how well you care for the children and the reputation you build with their parents. Improve your daycare, climb a leaderboard of 50 competing daycares (unlocking new items along the way), and work towards earning yearly awards.

Furnish and decorate your daycare. Order furniture, supplies, and toys from three different in-game stores. Deliveries arrive at your daycare for you to unbox, assemble, and place wherever you like. You can also paint both the interior and exterior walls to make the daycare your own. Creating a comfortable environment affects your coziness level and can even help children feel more relaxed.

Grow and sell your own produce. Plant seeds, water your garden beds, and harvest your crops. Pack your produce into crates, stock your market stall, and sell it to customers for some extra income alongside running the daycare.

Expand your property. As your business grows, save up to purchase neighbouring plots of land through the real estate office, giving you more space to build, decorate, garden, and expand your daycare.

Run the daycare together in online co-op. Invite a friend and manage the daycare together. Children, parents, money, deliveries, furniture, gardening, and decorating are all shared. Divide the work however you like, care for the babies while the other welcomes parents, handles deliveries, or works on improving the daycare.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. Daycare Simulator will be available at a lower price during Early Access. As the game grows and major updates introduce new content, features, and improvements, the price may gradually increase to reflect that. By joining during Early Access, you’ll be able to get the game at a lower price while also having the opportunity to share feedback and help shape Daycare Simulator as it develops toward its full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“As a solo developer, I read the feedback myself, and player input will have a direct influence on how Daycare Simulator develops throughout Early Access.

There is an in-game option to report bugs, suggest new ideas, or share general feedback, making it easy to let me know what is working well and what could be improved. If something feels unfair, confusing, frustrating, or simply not fun, I want to hear about it. That kind of feedback is exactly what Early Access is for, and it will play an important role in shaping the game as it grows.”
