About This Game

BREACHPOINT is an arena FPS that does exactly what you tell it to, the moment you tell it. Build your speed, use the second trigger on every gun, and play with your friends online, over LAN or on the same couch.

Pick your fight

Breachpoint. The title mode. Two teams of four fight along a line of five stages, one stage at a time, with no respawns inside a stage. Buy your guns at the terminals, then go live. Take the central point to open a breach in the enemy's half and storm through it, or just wipe them out. Each win pushes the fight one stage closer to the losing team's home. Push all the way there and the siege begins: first to three rounds takes the match.

Team Deathmatch. Up to 8 against 8. The first team to the frag limit wins.

Deathmatch. Every player for themselves. No teammates, no excuses.

Endless. Play alone or with up to three friends against waves of soldiers, bosses and gun drones that keep coming. Choose a class, from the Medic to the Demolisher. Customise it with firmware, spend your Tex in the shop and stack Mutators like Bobblehead, Juggernauts and Blood Fountain for bigger rewards. Set the difficulty anywhere from Noob to Extreme, and save a run to pick it up later.

Split screen in every mode

Two to four players can share one screen in any mode: Endless co-op, or Team Deathmatch, Deathmatch and Breachpoint with bots filling the empty seats. Each player gets their own view, their own HUD and their own controller, or keyboard and mouse. Couch shooters are back.

Movement is a weapon

Air-strafing, bunnyhopping and an air jump that changes your direction, taken from the Quake tradition and tuned for this game rather than copied. Chain your hops, keep your speed through corners and show up where the other player isn't looking. Rockets shove you. The shotgun shoves you. The Chain Gun shoves everyone! Explosions are public transport. No elderly discounts!

Maps worth fighting over

Fight in the sunny riverside square of Anemoia, where you can swim in the river. Or climb to the neon-lit offices of Human Resources, 207 metres up a tower, where falling out is a career change. Or push through Slab, a row of concrete arenas cutting through a brutalist city at night.

Build your own maps

Make levels in TrenchBroom, the free level editor used across the Quake community. The BREACHPOINT mapping kit puts the game's textures and props in your editor. Our baker turns your level into a fully lit, playable map, and the in-game Workshop screen publishes it to the Steam Workshop in a few clicks. You can add your own textures, a title and a preview picture.

You can browse and subscribe to other players' maps from the main menu. If you join a server running a map you don't have, the game downloads it for you. To see what a community map can look like, try Roaches on the Workshop: a Breachpoint map set in a kitchen, where you play as roaches fighting from the fridge to the pantry.

Play however you get people together

Use Quickplay, a server browser, or LAN play that doesn't need an account. Host a game from the menu, choose a pool of maps to play one after another, and add a password if you want. You can also run the free dedicated server on Windows or Linux. Playing alone? Bots fill every empty seat. Careful, the Hard ones bite!

Loot that's worth showing off

Some of your playtime drops are Crates, and Crates open without a key. Inside are emotes and Linked weapons, all of them tradable and marketable. A Linked weapon counts every kill you make with it, right on the item. Rare Prototype emotes play an effect while you emote, such as flames, lightning, ice or rot.

Any controller

Full controller support shows the right button prompts for Xbox, PlayStation and Steam Deck. DualSense gets adaptive triggers and gyro aim. The settings let you trade visual quality for frame rate, and Steam Cloud keeps your progress and Endless saves on every PC you play on.

Bodies ragdoll. Blood stays on the floor. Aim well.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

BREACHPOINT is a fast-paced first-person shooter. Combat is stylized with a Sci-Fi aesthetic, but it is graphically violent. Players fight other players and/or AI opponents with firearms, melee weapons end explosives. Full dismemberment and bombastic blood splatters that leave blood stains on the environment.
The game contains crude humor and gestures, like an obscene hand gesture players can use against one another.
