What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Juicicora is a game about sharing a world with other people, and that is not something we
can finish on our own. We can test the jumping, the dashing and the fruit powerups all day,
but we cannot predict what five friends will do with them at once, which corners of the
world they will fall in love with, or which ones they will ignore. Early Access lets us put
the game in front of real players and let their feedback shape what we build next, while
the game is still soft enough to change.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We are planning on roughly a year in Early Access, though we would rather leave when the
game is ready than leave on a date. We will keep the roadmap and our progress against it
public as we go, so it is always clear where things stand.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to grow Juicicora outward in every direction. More of the world to explore, including
larger open regions beyond the starting area. More dungeons and bosses beyond the Dimensional
Rift and the sky temple. More fruit powerups and alchemy recipes to combine them. More
villagers to befriend, with more quests and minigames tied to them. More cosmetics for your
Soul. Alongside the new content we plan to keep deepening what is already there, and to spend
real time on polish, performance and online stability based on what players run into.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Juicicora is playable from start to finish today. You create a Soul, learn the movement in a
short tutorial, and head into a hand-built world with villagers to talk to, gems and
ingredients to gather, an alchemy table for mixing fruit powerups, and cosmetics to dress up
in. The full movement kit is in: jumping, hovering, swimming, wall jumps, dashes, charged
ground slams, homing attacks and projectile fruits. There are dungeons to run, including a
sky temple with a boss at the end, and a day and night cycle over all of it.

Online co-op for up to five Souls per world is in and playable. It is also the newest part of
the game and the part most likely to show rough edges, so expect us to be working on it
throughout Early Access. The world will keep growing too -- what is here now is a solid slice
of what we want Juicicora to become, not the whole of it.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to raise the price as the game grows and we ship new regions, dungeons and features.
Players who join us in Early Access get it at its lowest price, and never pay again for the
content we add.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The Steam discussion boards are the main place to reach us -- bug reports, ideas and
complaints all land there and we read them. We plan to post the roadmap publicly and update
it as priorities shift, and to be open about why something moved. When a change comes
directly from a player's suggestion, we will say so in the patch notes. Above all we want to
hear how your worlds actually play out, because that is the part we cannot test ourselves.”

About This Game

Juicicora is a cozy co-op adventure set in a bright hand-painted world of wheat meadows, chalk cliffs, blossom trees and floating islands. Wander it alone, or share it with up to four friends.

Hop, hover and swim your way across the world, then start stringing the good stuff together. Hold charge to build speed, dash across a chasm, kick off a wall mid-climb, or come down in a charged ground slam hard enough to crack the floor. Homing-attack your way from target to target and you need never touch the ground at all.

Fruit is power here. Find it, carry it, and eat it to run faster, fire projectiles, or stranger things. Take what you have gathered to the alchemy table and mix new fruit from old, then equip a loadout and swap between them on the fly.
A world with others
The villagers remember you. Talk to them, help them out, and their opinion of you shifts in real time -- and the ones who like you open up work, minigames and secrets the rest will not.
Dive into the Rift
A beam of light cuts the sky above the meadow. Follow it through the portal into the Dimensional Rift, a temple of floating islands stacked above the clouds, and find out what has been sleeping at the top of it.
Dress up
Acorn caps, wheat crowns, carved wooden masks. Your Soul is a blank canvas and everyone else can see what you did to it.
Bring friends
Up to five Souls per world. Open your world to the public and let strangers wander in, or keep

it to the people you invited. Everything above works in co-op.
Streaming, videos and clips
Record it, stream it, clip it, post it wherever you like -- including monetised channels. All

we ask is that Juicicora is named somewhere: the video title, the description, the stream

title, or on screen. You do not need to ask us first and you do not owe us anything.
