Fates of Alimore is a 1v1 card game where you don't just build a deck — you level a hero. Climb from level 1 to 10, evolve through your hero's story, and command six warring factions. Win not on points, but by slaying the enemy champion. An RPG saga fought in a single duel.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Fates of Alimore is a competitive collectible card game, and a CCG lives or dies on its balance and its meta — that isn't something we can finish alone in a vacuum. We're using Early Access to put the full game in front of real players so the card pool, hero balance, matchmaking, and progression economy can be shaped by thousands of real matches instead of internal testing alone.

We are a small team committed to seeing this through: we already run automated balance simulations on every card change, ship regular updates, and act on tester feedback build by build. Early Access is the phase where player data drives the tuning — which heroes over- or under-perform, how the unlock economy feels, and where the rules text or interface needs to be clearer. We intend to keep updating throughout Early Access and beyond.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“3-12 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to move to full release once the beta set has been thoroughly tested and the game's systems have proven stable, and we intend for the 1.0 release to coincide with new content. ”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is fully playable today. Everything listed in the "About This Game" section is implemented, including:

The complete beta card set (~600 collectible cards across 6 factions) and all 15 heroes, each with three Lore stages and an Ultimate
A guided tutorial, a four-chapter story campaign, and duels against the AI
Online multiplayer: Ranked and Unranked matchmaking, plus Custom lobbies where you can host, browse open lobbies, or invite a friend

A full deck builder with collection tracking, deck sharing, and card unlocks earned entirely by playing
Progression: player levels, daily quests, login rewards, a seasonal reward track, and a ranked ladder
A cosmetics shop (card backs, board skins, hero frames, avatars, dice, alternate art) — cosmetic only, no pay-for-power
What Early Access means in practice: card balance numbers will continue to change based on live data, and some systems (matchmaking pools, seasonal content) will be tuned as the player base grows.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Using their feedback to balance cards and make gameplay changes with suggestions.
The best places to reach us are the Steam Community Hub discussions and bug report forum for this game — we read them and fold feedback into our regular update builds. Balance suggestions, bug reports, and card feedback all directly influence what we work on next.”

About This Game

Forge your hero. End theirs.

Fates of Alimore is a hero-based collectible card game set in the dark high-fantasy world of the Tales of Alimore Saga. There are no life points to grind down — you win by cutting down the enemy hero. Every duel is a compressed RPG: you level up, evolve, and grow more dangerous as the battle rages.

A card game with an RPG heart

Spend your Marks to grow your hero turn by turn, unlocking new power as you climb.

Evolve through your story. Each hero transforms across lore stages — their race, class, and kit deepening as they ascend.

Six factions, countless duels

Crown — order, armor, and dwarven steel. Outlast everything.

Shadows — stealth, poison, and inevitability. Win before they see it coming.

Abyss — pacts, undeath, and sacrifice. Pay any price for power.

Ether — foresight, runes, and constructs. Know every move before it's made.

Wilds — beasts, growth, and the roar of the primeval forest. Overwhelm them.

Mercenary — hired blades for hire in any deck.

Easy to learn, deep to master

One resource. Marks pay for everything — no mana screw, no clutter.

A living metagame. Aggro, Control, and Midrange counter each other in a true rock-paper-scissors, sharpened by alliance splashes and the d20 first-player roll.

15 heroes and hundreds of cards across the six factions, each with their own legendary champion drawn from the novels.

Everything to play for

Story Campaign — fight through the world of Alimore.

Online Ranked — climb from Bronze to Master.

Deck Builder, Daily Quests, and Seasons — a full progression loop.

Free to play, never pay to win. Everything is earned in-game; purchases are cosmetic only.
