November 1989, Czechoslovakia. As a secret-police officer you descend into the hidden facility Š-7, ordered to burn the archives and silence the witnesses. But no one down there is still alive — only corpses, tapes, and things that used to be people. A retro survival horror about guilt and memory.

About This Game

Eight days. One mountain. No backup.

"October 11th, 1989, 03:14 in the morning — the barrier gave way." So ends one of the magnetic tapes from Š-7, a secret facility of the Czechoslovak State Security, hidden beneath a mountain since 1948. A month later, as the regime collapses above ground, they send you down. You are Lieutenant Tomáš Vlk, and your orders are clear: document, destroy the archives, deal with the surviving witnesses. Alone.

THE STORY

Š-7 ran for 36 years: 247 test subjects, three directors and one classified program — the Theta protocol. For years they kept something locked behind an isolation pod and studied it. One October morning in 1989, it answered for the first time — and got out. Prague wants Š-7 to have never existed, and sent you down to make sure of it. But the truth arrives in layers: first what they told you, then what you suspect, and finally what truly is. The deeper you descend, the clearer it becomes — the "failing" project never failed. It worked exactly as intended.

ALONE. ONLY MONSTERS.

One rule that never breaks: nothing in Š-7 is still alive. No companions, no friendly faces, no help. Your only company is corpses, more than thirty tapes and journals, voices on the radio and the telephone — and things that used to be scientists, guards and subjects. Isolation is the only certainty here.

WHAT AWAITS YOU

  • A prologue and 8 days

  • Authentic 1989 Czechoslovakia: an encrypted radio, bureaucracy and dread

  • Raw PS1/PS2 retro visuals where the darkness itself becomes the enemy

  • Scarce ammo, an axe, a pistol and firebombs — combat is a last resort, not a playstyle

  • 30+ tapes and dozens of documents that assemble the truth piece by piece

  • 5 different endings, decided by the single sentence you finally speak into the microphone

A HIERARCHY OF EVIL

What devours you is not the monster in the corridor. The subjects are victims. The scientists were only subordinates. The director sits in Prague. And you are the instrument. The question is: do you stay the instrument, or do you turn? CLEARANCE never tells you what is right. It only shows you who died because of what you said.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Generative AI tools were used to create part of the game's content. Specifically:

• Some of the music and atmospheric sounds in certain scenes were created using AI music generators (e.g. FlowMusic). All music was curated and refined by the developer to fit the artistic vision of the game.

• Some supplementary 3D environment models (e.g. rocks, stone elements of the bunker) were generated using the Meshy AI service and were subsequently retopologized, retextured and integrated into the scene by the developer.

• Part of the placeholder artwork (splash screen) was generated programmatically and/or with the help of AI tools and may be replaced with original artwork in future updates.

All gameplay code, level design, the main visual concept, dialogue, story, narrative decisions and game mechanics are the developer's own work. The game does not make any calls to external AI services during play — all AI-generated content was produced beforehand during development, is bundled with the game in its final form, and is not generated again at runtime.
