What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Meow Time: cozy cat room already offers a complete and fully playable core experience, but there are still many areas we would like to improve and expand.

Through Early Access, we hope to stay in close communication with players and continue improving the cat's behavior, room interactions, decorative content, productivity tools, and other features based on actual player feedback, gradually bringing the game closer to the complete experience we envision.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect the Early Access period to last around six months to one year.

The actual length of Early Access may change depending on development progress and player feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The planned full version will build upon the Early Access version, with the goal of further expanding and refining the overall experience.

In terms of gameplay, we plan to add more ways to interact with the cat, including new toys, a wider variety of direct interactions, and additional gameplay centered around the cat's everyday life. We also hope to gradually expand the ways players can care for and spend time with their cat, including interactions related to everyday needs such as food and litter.

We also plan to continue adding furniture, decorations, and scenes, giving players more options for decorating and creating their own room.

The cat itself will be one of our main areas of focus during Early Access. We plan to further refine its behavioral logic and animations, add more everyday details, and introduce new interaction animations. There is still room to expand smaller details such as the movement and expressions of the cat's ears and tail, and we hope these additions will make the cat feel more natural and lively.

We also plan to continue expanding the game's audio and other audiovisual content. There are currently sounds and other audio elements that we would like to include but have not yet added due to recording, quality, production progress, or other considerations. We plan to continue improving these areas throughout development.

For the productivity tools, we plan to further improve the functionality of the existing tools and explore additional features based on players' needs and feedback.

We will also continue adjusting game balance, usability, and smaller details throughout the experience. Compared with the Early Access version, we hope the eventual full version will offer more content, more detailed cat behavior, and a more polished and comfortable overall experience.

Specific features and content may change depending on development progress and player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version already includes the main core content we planned for this stage of development. The overall structure and core gameplay are largely in place, making it a relatively complete experience that players can continue to enjoy over time.

For room customization, players can freely use furniture, wallpapers, flooring, wall decorations, and other items to create their own room, with features such as free-form placement also available. Compared with earlier versions, we have also redesigned and adjusted parts of the decorating system and its visual presentation to make room customization feel more natural and intuitive.

The main cat-related gameplay systems are also fully implemented. Players can feed the cat, take care of its litter box, pet it, play with it using toys, and watch it sleep, play, explore, and go about its everyday life around the room.

Long-term changes based on the player's interactions with the cat are also part of the current version. As players spend more time together and interact with the cat, it can gradually develop greater trust and attachment toward the player. These changes can in turn affect some of its behaviors and interactions, giving the long-term companionship experience more of a sense of everyday life.

Desktop Wallpaper Mode is also available directly in the Early Access version. Players can run the game scene as their desktop wallpaper while using the productivity tools separately from the main game scene, or disable those tools when they are not needed. The current desktop mode has also been adapted to support different screen resolutions and multi-monitor setups.

The game's productivity tools are also included, such as the Pomodoro timer, Todo list, calendar, white noise, and music features. We have also added new tools and activities on top of these, including a camera and photo album.

The current Early Access version therefore does not depend on a major unfinished core system before it can provide the intended experience. We are continuing development in Early Access because there are still many things we would like to add, expand, and refine, including cat behaviors and animations, additional interactions, furniture and decorations, scenes, audio, and other details.

We will also continue making adjustments and improvements based on players' actual experiences and feedback.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes.

We currently plan to offer the game at a relatively lower price during the earlier stages of Early Access and gradually adjust the price as the amount of content and the overall level of completion increase.

As new gameplay, interactions, furniture and decorations, cat behaviors, and other content are added, the price may increase at different stages of development. The final price at the full release will be higher than the initial Early Access price.

If we plan to adjust the price, we will announce the change to players in advance through Steam announcements.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We are very excited to have players involved in the continued development of Meow Time: cozy cat room, and we hope to keep hearing your thoughts and feedback as development continues.

Players can reach us through the in-game feedback feature, the Steam Community, and other available channels. Whether it is a problem encountered while playing, thoughts about existing content, or ideas for new gameplay and features, we will read and carefully consider the feedback we receive.

Player feedback will be an important reference for us when improving the overall experience, refining existing content, and planning future additions.

Since the release of the Demo, we have already received a great deal of player feedback through these channels and have made a number of changes and improvements based on some of those suggestions. During Early Access, we hope to continue this kind of communication and allow players' actual experiences with the game to contribute to its ongoing development.

Of course, not every idea suggested by the community will necessarily make it into the game. We will still consider the game's overall design direction, development circumstances, and the experience as a whole when making decisions, but we will take valuable feedback seriously.”

About This Game

Meow Time: Cozy Cat Room

Decorate a cozy little room, spend some quality focus time with an adorable cat, and enjoy the warmth of its companionship. 🐱

Meow Time: cozy cat room is a cozy casual game that combines cat companionship, room decoration, and productivity tools. Create a home for you and your cat, gradually earn its trust through everyday care and play, and stay productive with simple, practical tools. Come enjoy these lovely little moments with your feline friend!

- Game Features -

🐱A cute little cyber-cat who keeps you company

Adopt a little cat and keep each other company.

While you're busy focusing on your own tasks, your cat will be playing, climbing, sleeping, basking in the sun... or getting into a little mischief ψ(`∇´)ψ

When it's time for a break, you can gaze out the window together, fill its food bowl, clean the litter box, engage in an exciting showdown with a cat wand, or simply give its little head a gentle pet. These small, everyday moments can gradually earn your cat's trust. A once-wary kitty might slowly let down its guard, welcome your touch, and even reward you with a soft, gentle purr.

Of course, your cat has a mind of its own. Sometimes it wants to explore your home all by itself, while other times it might wait for a little affection before settling down to sleep. The time of day, different events, and its emotions can all influence how it behaves.

As for what's really going on in that little head of its, why it meows at you one moment and ignores you the next... that's something you'll have to discover as you spend more time together~

🛋️ Decorating a cozy room for your cat is part of the fun

Choose your favorite furniture, decorations, and cat trees. Mix and match wall and floor colors to create a comfortable little home that belongs to both of you.

Why does your cat keep standing on the table? Maybe it's trying to reach somewhere higher. How about adding a few more climbing platforms to the wall?

The placement of your furniture affects how your cat moves around the room. Make sure platforms are within jumping distance, giving your little explorer a path to climb higher and higher.

Once everything is in place, sit back and watch how your cat explores its new home.

And as for that brand-new sofa... let's just hope your kitty treats it gently!

✏️ Hand-Drawn with Love, Featuring Real Cat Sounds

Every scene, piece of furniture, decoration, plant, and cat accessory is drawn entirely by hand. Your cat's movements are also created using frame-by-frame animation, bringing little everyday gestures like stretching, jumping, and licking its paws naturally to life.

With over 40 recordings of real cat sounds, from meows and purrs to the tiny noises of eating, drinking, and digging in the litter box, every sound is performed by our studio's very own feline team members, carefully recorded and refined over multiple sessions.

⌛ Practical Productivity Tools

Use the Pomodoro timer to plan your focus sessions, and keep track of your tasks with to-do lists and sticky notes.

At the end of the day, open your calendar to look back on what you've accomplished and how much time you've spent focusing. You've actually gotten quite a lot done today!

Do you prefer studying to the sound of rain or working beside the gentle crackle of a fireplace? Choose your favorite white noise, or play your own music through the built-in music player to create an atmosphere that feels just right for you.

🖼️ Keep Your Little Room on Your Desktop and Your Memories in an Album

Switch to Wallpaper Mode and turn your little room into a living scene on your desktop. You can keep using your productivity tools or hide the interface and simply watch what your cat gets up to when it's home alone.

Found a moment worth remembering? Grab your camera!

Taking a photo pauses the in-game time, so you can take your time finding the perfect shot. Your photos are saved in an album where you can browse them by date, and you can even choose one to display on that day's calendar entry.

What you accomplished today, and all the adorable little moments your cat gave you, can become treasured memories of the day.

🎁 Build Your Dream Little Home, One Step at a Time

Spend some time focusing to earn Fish Coins, buy furniture you love, and stock up on food and litter for your cat.

And don't forget to check the places your kitty has been hanging around. Even the hair it sheds can come in handy!

Collect cat hair to unlock furniture, increase the number of items you can place in your room and store in your inventory, or exchange it for Fish Coins.

As you share your days together, you'll gradually turn your little room into an even richer, cozier home~
