Why Early Access?

“Hantu and Hunted! is a live multiplayer experience [first of its kind, prop hunt survival horror, based on regional folklore] that needs player feedback.
We want the community to help shape game balance, map design, and new Hantu and Human abilities before full launch. Early Access lets us test the core asymmetric gameplay with real players and iterate fast.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to remain in Early Access for approximately 12 months. This timeline may shift depending on community feedback and the scope of content we want to deliver before the full 1.0 launch.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version includes the core gameplay loop — humans repairing Rupavarna Machines while evading Hantu across the Ghost Realm.

The full release will be a much more expansive haunting. We plan to include:

Expanded Folklore: More maps inspired by diverse Southeast Asian legends.

New Roster: A wider variety of playable Hantu with unique spectral powers, new Human characters designed specifically to counter them and vice versa

Lore Cosmetics: A cosmetic system that stays true to traditional lore while exploring modern, "what-if" reimagined versions of these myths.

New Rituals: Additional game modes that put fresh spins on the asymmetric horror formula.

Total Polish: A fully balanced and optimized experience across all game modes.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core game is playable and functional — ~6-8-player lobbies, prop-disguise mechanics, Hantu abilities, and the Rupavarna Machine repair system are all in. Some content, balancing, and visual polish are still in progress. Expect bugs and active updates as we improve the experience.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. As a thank-you to our early supporters who help shape the game, Hantu and Hunted! will be available at a lower price during Early Access. The price will increase when we launch version 1.0 with the full content and all planned game modes.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback is central to our development. We will actively engage players through Discord, [Social media,] Steam Discussions, and regular developer updates. Feedback on balance, abilities, and map design will directly influence our update roadmap. Players shape the Realm.”
