CielChan is an evolving desktop AI companion, with frequent updates improving performance, accuracy, and features over time.

CielChan starts mostly blank. Use her over time so memories and features can build up. Talk to her anytime by voice or text. Through her local memory system, she can retrieve selected relevant details and become more familiar over time, but she does not remember every conversation perfectly. She stays with you while you work, relax, study, browse, or play.

CielChan can run fully offline on your PC. The included local model is designed for privacy, offline use, and accessibility across a wide range of PCs. For stronger reasoning, faster replies, and higher-quality conversation, advanced users can connect optional cloud AI and voice providers or configure larger compatible local models.

CielChan is an AI desktop companion, not a human-level autonomous assistant. Responses, memories, and observations can be incorrect, repetitive, delayed, or inconsistent.

Offline Core And Privacy

CielChan is local-first and can run fully offline on your PC.

• Conversations and voice data for local features stay on your machine

Optional online features include cloud AI providers, ElevenLabs and other cloud voice services, live-chat and stream integrations, browser and presence integrations, Steam multiplayer, Steam Workshop, and other third-party services. These features may require separate accounts, API keys, configuration, or payments. When enabled, they may send relevant text, audio, images, chat, presence, or account-related data to the selected service according to its policies. Availability depends on third-party platforms and may be interrupted or changed when those platforms update their services.

Offline Core Included

CielChan uses generative AI to create real-time conversation responses and voice synthesis. By default, a local AI model generates text responses, and bundled TTS engines convert those responses to speech directly on your device.

All core functionality is fully available offline, and no internet connection is required to use the application.

Optional cloud-based AI and voice features are available for advanced users. When enabled, these features may send text or audio data to selected third-party providers using user-provided API keys.

The AI model, voice synthesis, and core systems are included in the download, allowing CielChan to function independently offline.
