What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“This game features unique gameplay loops we think are fun, but untested. We're releasing in early access so players can try these mechanics out and provide feedback so we can better hone in on the best parts of this. The game is fully playable, you can complete "rounds" and earn upgrades and cosmetics, but we want to focus in on the core loop (taking out NPCs and other players, avoiding getting caught, etc) as we continue development actively hand in hand with the community. ”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“6 months”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In the full version, we plan to include more game mode options, NPC variations, maps, skills for players, and hopefully a more refined core loop. ”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently the "Domination" game mode, which involves 3 teams competing to convert every NPC in the city, is working as intended and fully playable in multiplayer. There are skill trees that players can upgrade at, and a few unique NPC types to spice up the gameplay. There's one map, and a couple dozen cosmetics that are unlockable. ”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. After early access it will likely rise along with a major content and feature update.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Very directly, we want to include them in decisions about the game loop, like getting their opinions on progression level requirements, what type of cosmetics they prefer, and how best to balance between fairness and fantasy fulfillment when it comes to stealth / action elements. ”

About This Game

Welcome to the City of Madness, where you STAB. EVERYTHING. Scale walls, hack terminals, hunt down targets and take deadly drones for a joyride. With just a pair of hardlight daggers.

Stabby Redux is an intense mix of parkour action and stealth gameplay, putting you in control of a digital ninja tasked with dominating this black and white city and giving it some color. Throw your daggers and pull yourself to them to grapple around and avoid spotlights, drones, and even other players as you carefully pinpoint the weak spots of every target and take them down quickly.

The City is alive though. Your actions build Pressure, and the more time you spend exposed the quicker the City will react. Drones will hunt you down, your face may even be plastered on Wanted posters all over for your targets to see, and other players to claim your bounty. But you're upgraded too. Use your hard earned resources to upgrade your assassin, giving you abilities that can disguise yourself in plain sight, hack drones to use as your own weapons, and track your targets across the city.

You can join online lobbies of players, teaming up or facing off to take control of the City with intense PvP action. Bend the City to your will, discover its secrets and hack the world as you see fit. As always, happy hunting.
