What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“I'm choosing Early Access because Dulmyr is a systems-driven game that benefits greatly from real player feedback. Iterating with the community will allow us to refine the core mechanics, improve balance, and adjust the overall experience based on real usage rather than assumptions. Early Access gives us the opportunity to expand the game steadily and transparently while ensuring that each step forward is shaped by community expectations.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I expect Dulmyr to remain in Early Access for roughly 12–18 months. This timeframe is an estimate and may change depending on development progress and community feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“For the full version, I plan to expand the content and depth of Dulmyr based on development priorities and player feedback. This may include additional biomes, enemies, spells, progression systems, and improvements to the overall world structure. My plans may evolve over time as I refine the game and learn from the community.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version includes the core gameplay loop, foundational systems, initial biomes, enemies, abilities, and exploration features. While functional and playable, Dulmyr is still in active development and will continue to evolve with new content, refinements, performance improvements, and additional mechanics.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I have not made a final decision yet. It is possible that the price may change once the game leaves Early Access, depending on the scope of the additions and improvements made during development.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community involvement is central to our development approach. Players will be able to share feedback through the Steam Community Hub, as well as through my Discord server once it becomes available. I plan to consider player suggestions when adjusting balance, expanding gameplay systems, and prioritizing new features.”

About This Game

DULMYR is an isometric roguelite action-RPG focused on fast-paced combat, permanent progression, and repeated dungeon runs.

Players control a single character viewed from an isometric perspective and explore procedurally generated floors filled with enemies, traps, and combat encounters. Each run starts from the beginning, and death permanently ends the run.

Combat is real-time and action-oriented, relying on positioning, timing, and skill usage rather than turn-based mechanics. During a run, players collect gear, upgrades, and resources that influence their build and playstyle.

The game features:

  • Infinite dungeon progression with increasing difficulty

  • Permanent death per run (roguelite structure)

  • Character growth through upgrades

  • Procedurally generated environments and encounters

  • A long-term progression system that persists across runs

There is no final floor or ending — progression continues as long as the player survives.

We plan to progressively localize the store page and the game content in supported languages. Localization work will continue throughout Early Access.
