What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“This is a large project and being just one person, it's going to take a while to create. Over this time I want to be able to release progress made and consider feedback from the community.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The game will likely be in early access for roughly 4 years however the demo will release in approximately a year and the first early access release in roughly another 2.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Naturally we plan to add more content by way of weapons and levels.
I want to push the speed and intricacy of combat that can be effectively achieved in VR with each release.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Still very early in production, the first 7th of the game in near completion. In terms of mechanics 2 of roughly 8 weapons have been fully developed with a very near complete movement and grappling hook system.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Pricing will increase gradually as more content and features are released”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback is going to be essential in developing the mechanics of this game. More than anything else the gameplay itself will be fretted over and tweaked constantly to push the boundaries of speed and flow in VR combat”

About This Game

A Sun falls down,

Vitriol is a fast paced physics VR shooter, iterating on the physics interaction of projects like Boneworks or Blade & Sorcery to bring you the brutal, ultraviolent worlds of games like Doom(2016) and Ultrakill in Virtual Reality.

  • Across the Campaign you will burn down 7 kingdoms and their seven kings; You the Eighth and who is of the seven, will go into perdition.

  • Physics Based enemies move with a weight and ferocity that puts impact into their lives, and deaths.

  • Test your metal in a scored Arcade Mode, remixing weapons & abilities in a one life stomping of the masses.

and The Snake eats it's tail.

  • Damage done is Health gained, use the power punch to inject your Harvest

  • Movement Unlike before, Create your own leverage to push off nothingness with the Air Mantle

  • Feel the Impact of your fist through a full collision Torque based Arm System

Burn & Fallow

  • Kill with an arsenal of 8 uniquely actioned weapons: Hammers, Slides, Levers, Bolts. And we wouldn't forget the simple fun of a Double Barrel Shotgun.

  • Weapon Mods change more than just bullets. The Weight and Interaction of a weapon has just as much influence as its mode. Mods change the way a weapon is handled as well as fired.

  • Runes...   also, SUPER PUNCH & GRAPPLING HOOOOOK!
