Something buried beneath the world is returning.

Victorian London is rotting from within. The dead walk. Children vanish. Creatures emerge from places that should have remained forgotten. At the centre of it all lies a strange mark and the trail of the mentor who spent years trying to understand it.

When that mentor falls, his unfinished journey becomes yours.

Follow the corruption backward through six distinct eras. Cross war-torn Sengoku Japan, plague-stricken Transylvania, the dying Roman Empire and ancient Mesopotamia. In every age, people faced the same impossible question: how much of ourselves would we sacrifice if it meant never having to suffer again?

Each civilization found its own answer.

Each made the wound deeper.

Scattered across the ages are the traces your mentor left behind. Journals. Relics. Warnings. Evidence that the horrors consuming your world did not begin where anyone believed they did. The closer you come to the source, the less certain it becomes that the corruption is an invasion at all.

You were chosen because you know what it means to carry pain and keep moving. Choose the Reckoner, Invoker, Vagabond, or Heretic, each with three distinct masteries and 45 skills to shape into your own build. Mix disciplines, experiment with powerful weapons, and build around the Relics and Damned items you uncover along the way. Your class is only the beginning. What you become is yours.

Your pursuit will carry you beyond the oldest civilizations, through the gates of Heaven and eventually downward through the nine depths of Hell.

But the deeper you descend, the more dangerous the truth becomes.

Hell may not be where the corruption began.

It may be where something was put away.
