Why Early Access?

“Fatekeeper is a new type of game, genre and IP for us. The studio behind it, Paraglacial, is very small and has only 13 people working on the game. In order to mitigate that risk and get feedback early on and be able to change the focus of the game depending on feedback we decided that Early Access is a good option for us. The intention is not to use you as beta testers but rather understand what elements of the gameplay are liked the most and adapt development plans accordingly.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently plan to release the full version after 18 months in Early Access.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The early access version doesn’t feature all the story content, progression mechanics and supporting game systems. The Early Access version is a part of the content that we plan for the full game. Throughout the early access campaign we will update the game with new content and systems. While the play playtime of the Early Access version is about 2 hours long the full version will be around 15 hours long.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current state shows the graphical fidelity and the core gameplay elements for the first few hours of the game. All the features of the game description are in this Early Access version.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, the Early Access version is a significant discounted price. Based on updates the pricing will go up. If you get it early you end up with a very good deal as a thank you for being an early believer. ”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We are monitoring feedback on all channels as well as collecting bug reports and feedback through surveys. Please check the community hub on details.
Based on your feedback we will change our development roadmap with regards to features and content.”

While Fatekeeper follows a focused narrative path, the world invites exploration. From ancient battlegrounds, vast underground caverns and serene forests to crumbling sanctuaries forgotten by time, each area rewards curiosity with hidden lore, forgotten relics, and unexpected encounters.

Melee & Magic
