What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Survival games are made or broken by a thousand small decisions: how heavy a backpack feels, how long a night lasts, what a broken leg really costs you. Those decisions are better made with players than for them.
We are not building another survival game. Ardem is a fully interactive world, one where electricity, vehicles, and the land itself respond to what players do. A world like that only proves itself once people are actually living in it.
Early Access lets us put Ardem in front of real survivors early, learn from how they play, and shape the game around what we find. Keep what works. Cut what doesn't. Build the rest together.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We are aiming for a development cycle of under two years.
That is a target, not a promise. Ardem leaves Early Access when it delivers a complete survival experience, not when a date comes up on a calendar. We will be watching community feedback closely to judge when the game is ready, and we will be open about where we stand along the way.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Early Access ships with the core of the game: every system that makes Ardem a fully functional survival experience, working together.
From there, the world grows harder and deeper. We plan to introduce new threats that change how you survive and force you to adapt your playstyle, and to expand how players interact, both with each other and with the world around them. More reasons to cooperate. More reasons to be careful about who you cooperate with.
What we add during Early Access will be shaped by what players tell us during it.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Ardem is already a complete survival game.
The core systems are in and working together, not stitched on: base building, farming, hunger and thirst, dynamic weather, electricity, vehicles, crafting. A large portion of the 64 km² map is open, with hundreds of handcrafted locations waiting to be found.
Play solo, or join an online server with up to 64 players and survive together. Updates arrive regularly, adding advanced features and refinements as development continues.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Ardem launches into Early Access at a lower price than its full release.
The price is likely to rise once the game leaves Early Access, reflecting how much will have been added by then. Any change will be announced well in advance, so nobody who has been with us from the start is caught out by it.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Discord is where Ardem gets discussed, and where you will find us. Feedback, development updates, and direct conversation with the team all happen there.
Players will also have a say in what gets built. We will put feature decisions to the community and let the results steer future updates.
Beyond that, a smaller group of testers will get access to the latest builds ahead of release, reporting issues and working directly with the developers.”

About This Game

When the RHAB-14 virus broke out, the world fell within weeks. Cities fell silent, order collapsed, and humanity turned into restless, mutated beings driven by hunger and rage.

Years later, civilization is nothing but a memory. Nature has reclaimed the land, power grids lie in ruins, and every day is a fight to survive.

In Ardem, you decide whom to trust, where to seek shelter, and how to survive in a world where every breath could be your last.

Ardem is an immersive open-world survival RPG that takes you into a virus-ravaged, fully interactive world. Alone or with friends, explore abandoned places, gather resources, build shelters, repair vehicles, and restore power to bring remnants of civilization back to life — or let them fade forever.

Ardem in Detail

World: Explore a 64 km² handcrafted world filled with hundreds of unique locations, hidden paths, and the abandoned remnants of past civilizations. Every corner tells its own story, from overgrown villages to sunken cities. The world not only feels alive, it reacts to you. Repair bridges, restore power grids, or secure new areas to permanently reshape the land. Your actions define an environment that evolves and grows with every exploration.

Electricity: In Ardem, power is not a given, it is survival. Every house, even your own shelter, can be fully electrified if you find or build the right energy source. Gasoline, wind, or solar, you decide how to power your network. Once the current flows, your surroundings awaken: lights flicker on, garage doors open, and outlets hum again. Energy means comfort, safety, and control over a world long fallen into darkness.

Vehicles: Vehicles in Ardem are more than transportation; they are lifelines. They help you cross dangerous lands faster and transport heavy objects, materials, or allies. But every vehicle needs maintenance and repair to stay functional. With the right equipment, you can upgrade and customize them to fit your strategy. From rugged off-road cars to heavily armored transports, each vehicle becomes an extension of your survival.

Foraging: In Ardem, how you feed yourself is your choice. The world offers countless ways to survive: gather edible plants, hunt wildlife, fish, or grow your own crops. Each method has its own risks and rewards depending on your location and preparation. Food means more than energy; it represents stability and progress. Those who plan wisely live longer.

Base Building: Build your shelter exactly the way you want it. Ardem’s dynamic base-building system allows you to freely decide where and how to use materials and which resources to combine. Your base offers protection from weather, infected, and other players, growing into a true home with every upgrade. Connect it to electricity, furnish it with hundreds of decorative items, and create a place of safety before returning to the wilderness.

We will continue to expand Ardem with new features to create an ever-evolving experience.
