Leaving Early Access: December 2026

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The game will keep evolving as it's developed. Data centres can be enjoyed from very different perspectives, so the game includes handling options for different control and view styles, and player feedback will help us steer which views we prioritise. VR is planned as a separate, standalone title rather than a mode inside this game; we may support cross-saves between the two, but that isn't finalised yet. We also need feedback on performance for Mac players, as we don't have a Mac to test on directly.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“ideally December 1st for Stage 1 (Sim/Quests), may have to adjust expectations to sooner or further out as we work Stage 1 (Simulator Game/RPG aspects)

Stage 2 and Stage 3 are not part of early access ramp up time and are considered different games under the same game.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to add player customization, including creating your own in-game company brand, and a land management/acquisition system. A DLC of a theme is also planned. During Early Access, players will experience the Stage 1 and Stage 2 gameplay roll-outs. A future Stage 3 is planned. These are our current intentions, not guarantees of specific features or timing.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access build is ready and playable. We'll shortly begin a UI overhaul, moving away from the classic pane system toward an in-world interface where the player uses a handheld device for most needs, plus interactive terminals for specialty requests around the game world. In the current build you play a first-person data-centre technician: rack and unrack servers on sliding rails, assemble them from parts (PSUs, drives, fans, RAM), run power and cabling, use tools (cordless drill, spray cans, flashlight), push loaded carts, ride the office chair, operate a working elevator, take on ticket-based jobs and order parts at in-world terminals, and manage a grid inventory with crafting, all in a physics-driven facility. The features described in the About This Game section above are playable in this build.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually raise the price as we leave Early Access and ship new content and features. Any increase is mainly to fund onboarding a team and secure long-term runway so the game is maintained and improved as part of a larger venture.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We'll involve the community through feedback, streaming rights, easter-egg suggestions, and crediting bug-finders in the end-game credits. We'll also welcome suggestions for new content, devices, characters, weapons, armour, vehicles, and more. We plan to use funding to secure unique experiences we haven't announced yet. We currently have giveaways running until July 8th via the contest demo map, which rotates every 12 hours, with winners announced via Discord; prizes will be arranged once we're able to secure them. We also have internal/external leaderboards, so players can track the game's stats from their phone or a second monitor to see in near real time whether they've been bested during the launch contest. Players must opt into the metrics to enter the contest.”

About This Game

Update: Early Access Release (last week of June), new direction below:

Data Center Simulator Game: Every System Has a Secret

Step into the racks, the raised floors, and the endless hum of a modern data center. Play your way with full controller and keyboard support. Walk the cold aisles, route the cabling, balance the thermal load, and feel the weight of every decision. From your first server install to a fully orchestrated facility, every watt, every degree, and every cable matters. But the deeper you go, the more you'll sense that something here doesn't quite add up.

DCSG is a hands-on simulation that respects the craft of real infrastructure work, because the developer has done it for two decades across a variety of industries spanning the globe. Provision compute, manage power and cooling, respond to failures, and learn the trade through doing, including the hard lessons. It's built to teach by experience, not by menus. And it's built to keep you wondering what lies beneath the surface.

More than a sim: a world to explore.
DCSG grows beyond the server room. Expect RPG progression, a combat system, unique gear, and discoveries waiting in an unknown world. Some doors open only for those paying attention. Some systems were never meant to be found. The further you push, the more the familiar begins to fall away, revealing something far stranger than a server farm.

A long-term commitment, not a one-and-done release.
DCSG launches into Early Access with a clear roadmap ahead. Two premium DLC expansions are planned. The first is a historical timeline journey through the evolution of computing and data infrastructure. The second is a TOP SECRET project, developed as our thank-you to the community that made this possible, and what it contains will not be spoken of until the moment it arrives. Both will be followed by years of free, feature-rich content updates and expansions, with occasional paid DLC as needed to secure further development efforts on new features and experiences. When you buy in, you're investing in a title designed to grow for the long haul. A dedicated VR experience is also on the way as a separate title, arriving less than six months after launch.

Built on two decades of the real thing.
This isn't a sim made by people guessing at how infrastructure works. DCSG draws on 20 years across enterprise IT, defense, and large-scale systems, translating real operational experience into a game that gets the details right and brings authenticity rarely seen in the genre. Every detail is deliberate. Even the ones that seem out of place.

Whether you're a curious newcomer or someone who's spent a career in the field, the truth of this place won't reveal itself all at once. DCSG is yours to build, to break, to defend, and to conquer. Just remember: every system has a secret, and this one has been keeping its longest.

**Early Access, this title will continue to expand, images are of prototype systems slated for global availability 1 week after Early Access launch.  First main data center space will unlock MONDAY 29 June to both early access AND playtest users as a continued thank you to the community.

Playtest minus premium tools and equipment/maps will be available for free to play until July 8th as a thanks to the gaming community for your continued support and encouragement over the last six years of this journey.
