在りし日―――。
王国は、澱みから湧き出た闇に飲まれ、大いなる呪いに囚われた。
光は消え去り、人々は絶望の内に死んでゆく…。

そんな時、北の聖域より光の巫女が現れ、 闇を払い、呪いを飲み干した。

王国には光が戻り、人々は絶望から解放された。

――しかし、闇を一身に受けた巫女は呪われ…
その器から澱みは零れ出し、更なる災厄をもたらしたという。

いつしか巫女は闇の聖女と恐れられ、畏怖の対象となっていった。

巫女は自ら、暗く、深い地底の聖域へと入り、己自身と闇を封じ込めたが、 それでも人々は恐怖に駆られ、ついに国王は呪われた巫女の亡骸を差し出した者に、 莫大な報酬と最高の栄誉をあたえるとの触れを出した。
やがて人々もそれに習い声高に叫んだ。

―――――呪われた聖女を殺せ！闇の聖女を殺せ！

…巫女を殺すために、様々な猛者が闇の聖域へと足を踏み入れた…
だが…巫女の宿した闇は深く…呪いは、聖域への侵入者達を打ち滅ぼしていく…

やがて大いなる呪いは澱みを生み出し、王国を再び蝕むだろう。
ここは辺境の王国「ヘイルロード」…。
恥知らずの王…人の心を持たぬ獣の王「ミカロス」の国…。


ヒーローになりきれなかったがそれぞれ異なるスキルをもった5つのキャラクターからあなたが選んで物語をスタート！あなたが作り出す物語によって決まるマルチエンディング。

コマンド選択式のバトルを楽しもう！複数パーティでの戦闘システムを採用。
襲いかかる様々な敵に対して勝利の鍵の握るのは仲間の存在です。 「影霊」とよばれる貴方の味方は様々な特徴を持っており、敵や戦術に応じて自由に入れ替える事が出来ます。 強敵やボスとの戦いを有利に進めるため、貴方の旅に付き従う最良の影霊を集め、選択しよう。
