“Early Access will help us create a better game. We experienced this firsthand with our previous game, Turmoil, which was in Early Access for one year before its official release. The Early Access community helped us improve the game tremendously and we’re hoping the same will happen with Team Racing League.

We believe Team Racing League brings something new and refreshing to the racing genre. While we have a lot of ideas to improve and expand on the game ourselves, we want to explore what else is possible for the game, together with the Steam community. Would you like to see more game modes, new tracks or maybe new vehicles? We want your input while we continue to develop and add more content. Let's create the perfect team racing game together!”

“We're not sure. Game development is unpredictable. It's done when it's done. It may take half a year, it may take a year. It may take longer. We will not release if it does not meet our quality standards. We'll do our best to improve the game, add relevant content and keep you updated on progress during Early Access.”

“Based upon player feedback, we will see where new mechanics and abilities are needed and most welcome. Cosmetically we like the direction of the game, but we're sure that improvements will be made over time to the environments, the vehicles and the UI.

There are also loads of ideas for other game modes, race tracks and features that we may add. This also depends on player feedback and input. The reason we don't support local multiplayer from start is that we wanted to focus all our development capacity on a solid online multiplayer. We have a small team and aren't that experienced in multiplayer development yet, but we believe we're doing a decent job here. If the player base allows it, we might add local multiplayer and co-op multiplayer features. So spread the word and challenge your friends :-). Addendum: Local Multiplayer has been added a while ago :-)”

“The core gameplay is solid. The drifting and racing physics are intuitive, skill-based and rewarding. The available player abilities are skill-based, while still very accessible to players with less time to play. By focusing on the team aspect, we believe the Early Access launch-version of the game is fun to play for both competitive players as well as more casual players.

In single player, people can polish their skills in Training mode and Time Trial. Training is meant to explain the game's mechanics and have players experience them for the first time. While in Time Trial you can work on your racing skills, competing against your own ghost.

The online multiplayer consists of one game mode right now: 3v3 team racing. We tested this as best we can but the real testing (technical and gameplay) will start when we enter Early Access. Please be gentle with us, but be straight and fair. We like to hear what you enjoy about the game, but also what you don't enjoy, so we can learn from our mistakes and improve and polish your experience. Help us deliver the best and most fun racing game you can imagine!”

“We have a clear direction for this game in mind, but we are eager to hear if the community thinks this is the right way to go. We’ll keep a very close eye on the forum and will try to respond as clearly as possible to all questions and suggestions from the players. Do you like the game and its mechanics? Do you agree with the balancing of the game? Would you like to see other game modes or changes to the current one?

We will be introducing new features and content along the way, and will listen to what players want and think of our ideas. We hope that our vision and your input will merge for a great end result. 1+1=3.

Besides adding new stuff, there’s of course also the technical side of maintaining and dealing with an online multiplayer game. The team is small and our experience in online multiplayer isn't very rich, so please keep that in mind when the game doesn't meet your expectations. Let us know what we can improve and we promise to at least respond to your request. We’re aiming for a smooth multiplayer experience and will try to keep improving the game without adding bugs.

TRL Hotfix #1 - Happy Holidays

Hi all!

Thanks to everyone who has picked up the game recently! We've had lots of feedback and therefore decided to push this hotfix update.
We've addressed several bugs and issues listed below. Since we were feeling the christmas spirit, we've chosen to give you a little teaser as our holiday gift to you.

Fixes included in this update
- Resolved errors related to the twitch interface.
- Creating a duplicate manager object, when only one should ever exist no longer occurs.
- Issue related to saving your time trial ghost is now resolved.
- Bug related to restarting previously played track, slow motion wouldn't trigger should be fixed.
- Resolved issue with showing trophies, after a rematch, being assigned to another player.
- Fixed issue with Glacier where it was possible to escape the start area.
- Updated networking DLL to fix error spam on disconnecting players.
- Added fallback for rare case where players couldn't explode...
- Fixed introduction not properly releasing identifier, giving issues in Local Clash screen.
- Fixed audio/video issues with the introduction video, no more sudden distortion!

What's next?
Based on all feedback we've received, we found that the most requested feature is AI opponents. Since we were feeling generous, we decided to give you a little teaser to show this work in progress.



Our goal is to release this new feature somewhere around the end of January*. For those of you having trouble finding players online, try joining our discord to help you find someone to play with.



* Could change, but we're feeling very optimistic.

TRL Update - Winter has arrived

We're very excited to bring you a new set of tracks. As we've teased before, these tracks are in a winter setting. We have also added forfeiting, a new track mechanic, private lobbies and more things we hope you'll enjoy. Let us know what you think!



Major changes
  • As our early holiday gift to you, we have released a new area: Snow. Three new levels in a yet unexplored setting are now playable in both local modes and online clashes. Be careful on the ice, things may get slippery!
  • A new mechanic: Slip Barriers. Make your opponents Go Berserk and give your teammates a boost with these new barriers in Curve Creek (Forest 1).
  • Tracks now have names! Instead of the boring ol' "Desert1", "Desert2", etc., we've named them to better capture the atmosphere and character of the tracks.
  • Custom matches are now available! Decide on which area you want to play, how many players are able to join, and whether you want a public or invite-only match.
  • The Trophy system has been revamped and actually makes sense now. Let the hunt for bronze, silver, gold, and diamond begin!
  • Games are more fun with friends! You can now invite friends to your match.
  • Since all areas are fully 3D, we have chosen to show it off. At the beginning of races (and time trial), there is a quick spin around the track. Don't like it? There is an option to turn them off in the gameplay settings.
  • You can now forfeit in online matches. Is your current match a hopeless cause? Forfeit and quickly find a new game without losing your team.
  • The HUD in multiplayer had gone a little wonky. We've changed the position, which should be easier to keep your eyes on while playing. Additionally, we've improved the UI colors and a few fixes with connected boosting.



Minor changes/fixes
  • Several people have asked us for a restart button in Time Trial. Most of you might not have known, this feature was already implemented, just not visualized. We have added a little UI text in the left bottom corner to make sure people know about it.
  • The launch icon has changed. Let us know what you think!
  • The loading screen is now themed to the type of area you're going to play. Additionally, you should see less to none behind-the-(loading) screen action happening, especially during the local clash screens.
  • Team data caching has improved and loading times have been reduced. Also, multi-invites are now a thing.
  • Time Trial now remembers which track you've played last during a play session instead of having the memory of a goldfish.
  • Track names will be shown in the little preview window when hovering over the navigation bar on the bottom and in the track scrolling.
  • Training can now be accessed using a controller.
  • When there's a lead change within a team, the team gets notified so everybody knows who should be racing.
  • The screen-overlay from the last update now fades in instead of popping up in your face.
  • Quick-chat is now mirrored in text chat, for your team's eyes only.
  • We've told the leader trail to calm down when the leader is standing still. He agreed.
  • When there is one single team left, you will still be able to finish the race (given that the host hasn't left).
  • Local clash now looks a little more organized.
  • Some optimization. Stuff should run a little smoother, especially on slightly older machines.

Team Racing League


Team Racing League is all about racing and teamwork. In a 3 on 3 E-Sports arena setting, you or one of your teammates needs to cross the finish before anyone on the opposing team does. Only one player needs to race; the others can support the racer by hindering the opponents. You can set up roadblocks, bump and boost your rivals off cliffs, roast with your afterburner or pick up cubes and drop them in strategic spots. You can even connect your car to a teammate's car and unlock dual powers. Work together and beat the opposing team!

Team Racing League is all about teamwork and racing skills. It aims to be a pure racer, without artificial equalizing mechanics. During the race, the entire track and all racers are visible in a top-down view, giving both players and spectators an excellent overview.
