“One Finger Death Punch is an enormously generous and exhilarating combat game - one whose capacity for expression and mastery is far broader than its simplistic appearance suggests.”
9/10 – Eurogamer

“One Finger Death Punch is a game that one must definitely play in order to understand and judge it. This is all about the feel, and there’s so much of it as you play it more and more.”
9/10 – Cheat Masters

“The game is an instant classic. There’s not a mark to be said against it. It excels in every possible way, challenging the best of us while still remaining pick-up-and-play enough that literally anyone could start in on it, and subsequently get hopelessly addicted.”

À propos de ce jeu

Experience cinematic kung-fu battles in the fastest, most intense brawler the indie world has ever seen! With the unique 1:1 response system of One Finger Death Punch, players will feel the immediate feedback of every bone-crunching hit.

Pay tribute to the masters using five classic kung-fu styles mixed with additional weapons. Combine face-to-face combat with throwing weapons to recreate complex fight choreographies or just send bad guys flying through glass windows. Explore a world map with over 250 stages, 13 modes, and 3 difficulty levels. Unlock 21 different skills that can be combined in thousands of ways to assist you in your journey. Put your kung-fu to the ultimate test in the survival mode.

One Finger Death Punch is a game you can “feel”. The direct connection between your mouse and your character on the screen will be a new experience for many players. When you string together a long, complex string of kills, it feels like something “you” did rather than something the game let you do. When you play it you feel like you’re actually playing a Xiao Xiao stick animation video. We took inspiration from every kung-fu film we’ve seen. Every bit of effort was poured into delivering an easy to play game that was as addictive to play as Tetris.

Every Press Matters! DO NOT BUTTON MASH!

One of the biggest challenges we had while making the game is stopping the player from button mashing. When our friends play tested our game they’d instinctively button mash, they couldn’t help themselves. It must have been the many years of playing other brawlers that engraved it in their minds the notion of rapidly pressing buttons to kill your foes. The game’s designed in such a way that if you button mash, you die. Every press matters. Although playing the game should still be simple, you see a bad guy in front of you, you attack him, he dies. If you punch even once when there’s no enemy in front of you, you’re going to miss. If you miss, chances are you’re going to get hit. It’s a simple system but it’s ruthless to button mashers. We spent much time setting up visual and audio queues as well as many warnings trying to steer players away from their natural button mashing tendencies.

So simple to pick up; either tap left or right to attack (either on keyboard, mouse or gamepad), stage after stage. Sure, the bulk of the enemies you face are one-hit chumps, but the challenge comes from tougher, dodging and brawling enemies that mix things up and attempt to throw you off your rhythm.

This game is perfect for quick bite-sized gaming sessions, though you may find you get that just-one-more feeling once you've cleared a few stages. So challenging; the difficulty ramps up in fits and starts in the main campaign, though warming up your reflexes in Survival can help if you're rusty.

For the price you pay, on sale or no, it's well worth checking this gem out. I've found One Finger Death Punch more rewarding overall than a lot of AAA fighting games... at least until you hit a punishing level and call it a day. It'll run on low-spec hardware as well, so no worries there!

Aside from the annoying voice announcer, who thankfully can be silenced, this an incredibly fun twitch game. It has great balance between needing to be fast and precise. It would be worth getting even at full price.

Simple, rapide peu couteux, pas de prise de tête, que demander de plus.
Un défaut, devient un peu répétitif avec finalement pas de ligne scénaristique, mais bon plus que rentable au final.

Not a huge amount to this game; you can see just about everything there is to it in the videos available. The entirety of the story is probably found in the loading blurbs as the game starts up. There's some ease of use features that are missing.

But for less than $5 I can pretend to be a kung fu action god until my two fingers are sore. Or I manage to get the auto-difficulty beyond %150.

This is the playable definition of how with little resources but a good idea one can make an awesome game. So, what is fun about OFDP (too lazy to write the full name) then? Ok, how about we go with Pros and Cons? It's an easy way to analyze a game.

PROS
-You use TWO buttons yet it feels like you're actually doing combos.
-Controller support
-Lots of weapons and habilities. You will really enjoy THE BALL.
-Plain fun. Great to play with friends taking turns, because anybody can play it.
-Challenging. Like, it's not super hard but sometimes you'll see yourself repeating a level because you got your butt beaten by a new class of enemy.
-I mentioned enemy classes, right? There's plenty of them, and each has to be taken down by its own specific combo.
-Survival mode? BLIND survival mode is for real pros.
-There are fighting styles. Yes, fighting styles. Basically, your combos will be different depending on the style you get for the round.
-There are MOTHA F*CK*N LASER SWORD ROUNDS. And they are EPIC.
-Remember those old animation videos where stickmen would punch each other? This is what happens when that animation becomes a videogame.

CONS
-Perhaps it's a bit simplistic. But of course you're not playing it because you want to play a complicated fighting game, you just want to punch stickmen with more stickmen. It's not even a Con.
-Laser sword toudns and Nunchaku rounds are pretty much the same.
-Haven't seen any DBZ reference which is a shame.
-You haven't bought it yet.

Probably the most stylish 2-button video game I've ever played. Truly feels like a rush to play and it's highly addictive and super challenging when it picks up steam but it has its downfalls as well:

- Not 100% responsive. Occassionally, your mouse presses are ignored (specially when the slow-mo kicks in) and lead to getting hit.
- No Restart stage keyboard shortcut you have to use the mouse (which is quite irritating)
- The developers haven't even bothered themselves to add an Exit to windows button to any of the menus
- By playing this game you increase the chance of ****ing up your mouse buttons by at least 400%

If One finger Death punch wasn't so damn fun and perfect for small doses of time I would have had a hard time recommending it but it definitely is. Has a ton of stages to play through and master as well as some perks to buy and medals to earn.

Get it.

[EDIT] So I've been playing this game for a few more hours and I can definitely say that it has technical bugs. Every few rounds, I get a framerate hiccup just enough so that my mouse presses aren't registered for around 1 sec.
Also, the crap restart button you need to press with the mouse every time to restart the level isn't even available in some of the challenge levels. You actually have to back out into the world map and restart the level from there.

So far, I can definitely call these guys one of the laziest developers I've encountered. The game mechanics are fine and fun but everything built around them is more or less a trainwreck.

Still would recommend it on a sale though.

I impaled a guy on a sword handle, punched a guy so hard that his eye flew out of its socket, broke every bone in another's body with a mace, beaten the ♥♥♥♥ out of series of enemies with a broom and a fish, slamed a dude so deep in the ground that his legs were sticking out, and then procceded to pull him back out of the ground and use his corpse as a weapon to kill more guys.

10/10 would punch a stick figure's heart out again.

This game just puts the epicness of kung-fu movies right into your own hands. It nails the clichés with a sarcastic emphasis on violent finishers while you feel absulutely in control of and satisfied with the fast paced action you generate by just clicking your two mouse buttons. It\'s great how a simple concept can work that well.

This game is also well balanced: it is challenging, but not too hard. Still to ace a level you will have to spend some time mastering your flow.

Brilliant. A must-play experience. If you've played Guitar Hero or similar games, this will put you into a familiar ADD zone.

That said, the developers got carried away and threw in the kitchen sink. This game would have benefited greatly from a "less is more" approach. There are a lot of novelty graphics and gameplay quirks that were intended to add variety. The result creates visual clutter that interferes with comprehension of what's going on, and unfortunate hiccups in the flow of the gameplay. These attributes regularly yank me out of "the zone", which causes unneccesary errors and detracts from the fun. I desperately hope someone tackles this concept again and strips it down the meaty goodness without the fat.

YES YES YES !!!!

This game is so awesome. It's really easy to play but really hard to master.

I got the DRM free version of the game a while back with some bundle and I allways play it while I have to wait for something to load, then when the Steam version came out the developers gifted me a copy.

It's basically a stick men fiht game where you are at the center of the screen and mobs are coming at you from both sides and you have to fight them using only the left and the right mouse buttons ... I have beaten everything possible in this game and most of the levels in the mobile version for Android (which is more grindy and with microtransactions as any free mobile game, check it out it's the same meta just endless)

It's amaizing, addictive and very, very clever game.

I would recommend it to anyone any time.
