Firelands Patch Notes #4.

Hello all,

A new update is now live – v. 49772

Patch Notes

Characters
  • Warlord no longer loses alignment based conscripted followers when changing alignment.
  • Warlord no longer loses conscripted Jester at the tavern space.
  • Dervish can now view cards on spaces while using his move after defeating enemy ability.
  • Dervish will now work properly when encountering the Ekor on a multi card space.
  • Toad can now have items sent to it with the Beggar King and will correctly leave them on the space.
  • Apprentice Mage no longer sees the top card of the Spell deck.
  • Thief is no longer able to steal while rolling for the Gremlin follower.

Enemies
  • Water Elemental’s effect no longer uses your attack roll.
  • Ekor will stop you from encountering cards on a space when it evades you with it's effect.

Spells
  • Displacement can now be cast by someone in the Inner Region.
  • Black Ice can no longer be cast on a character that’s only able to move one space at a time.
  • Using the Hydra Spell on the Syphon Strength/Craft Spell will send the Strength/Craft to the correct player.
  • Teleport spell has it’s 'travel here' button again.
  • Haunting Poltergeist can now be discarded on spaces like the Temple and the Vampire’s Tower.

Objects
  • Holy Water now appears in the card reminder when you are on the Desert spaces.
  • The Brass Bottle will now have a +1 icon when you place a Spirit or Elemental on the card.

Followers
  • Rolling twice for the Wart has been fixed for some specific character encounters.
  • Taleweaver now has a 'show cards' button for local player games.
  • Old Man of the Sea no longer affects you when you miss a turn.
  • You can now use the Riding Horse to land on City shop spaces that have terrain cards on them.
  • Camel now appears in the card reminder when you are on the Desert spaces.

Strangers
  • An issue where completing a quest while encounter the Piped Piper can cause a block has been fixed.
  • Corpse Collector now has the correct encounter number of 4.
  • Corpse Collector is now in the correct place when viewing the my collection page.

Spaces/Terrain/Places
  • Placing a terrain card on the Mountain Pass will no longer cause a block.

AI
  • AI will now try to get rid of the Old Man of the Sea.
  • AI will not over use the Royal Masons card.
  • AI Merchant will no longer use his ability to evade enemies he can beat.
  • AI won’t sell everything to the Pawn Shop card.
  • AI will no longer use the Wooden Stake in a fight it can’t win.
  • AI will not use the Luna card when it doesn’t need to during a fight.
  • AI will re-roll when fighting the Nether Blight if it can to avoid instant death.
  • AI Priest will now use it's ability to destroy spirits instead of using the Holy Water card.
  • AI will use the Arnkell card.
  • AI is now more ruthless when using the Assassin Stranger card.
  • AI will no longer become stuck on the Soothsayer space.

Other
  • Fixed issue where cards disappeared when returning to a space.
  • Wanted Posters will no longer disappear from view after encountering them.
  • The High Temple will no longer send you to the Warlock’s Cave if there is a terrain card on it.
  • You can no longer see what a face down Gauntlet card is when clicking to view it.
  • The Werewolf NPC has been fixed so when a character is defeated by a lycanthrope they have to roll for the Werewolf chart.
  • Completing a quest while in the middle of a fight and then trying to roll for the Reaper/Werewolf will no longer cause a block.
  • Fixed slow down issues for the android version.
  • Spaces will now glow red when there is a fire token them.
  • Spaces that glow red will switch to white when colour blind mode is turned on.

Firelands Post Release Patch #3.

Hello all,

There is a new update that is live - v. 49381.

Patch Notes

Characters
  • Pirate doesn't get gold from other players Tavern rolls unless they have gold to lose.
  • Warrior can now use the Wooden Stake.
  • Swashbuckler now, correctly, gets extra turns from Creatures.
  • Players can no longer cast Spells whilst the Sage is viewing cards (was causing crashes).
  • Auto-killing Elementals with str/cft choices as the Elementalist no longer results in crashes.

Enemies
  • Metamorph will replace 'pick your combat type enemies' with enemies of the same combat type chosen at the start of the fight.
  • Enemies that can be evaded (e.g. City Watch) no longer prevent players from encountering more cards if the player chooses to evade.

Spells
  • Marked for Glory no longer gives an extra +6 on rerolls.
  • Players can no longer cast spells they have begun discarding.

Objects
  • Hungering Artefact correctly discards cards in a players space at the end of the turn.
  • No longer able to alchemise wanted posters whilst they're being redeemed.
  • Issue fixed where multiple Objects could discard an enemy at the same time (e.g. Suleiman's Seal + Holy Water) causes crash.

Events
  • During Witching Hour you don't gain Spells if you miss a turn.

Followers
  • Devout Blacksmith uses the correct discard pile.
  • You can use Champion of Light multiple times in a turn.
  • No longer have to roll twice for Wart after a Character encounter.
  • Encountering multiple Objects with the Gremlin (Treasure Chest > Gremlin > Talisman from Chest > Gremlin) causing crashes fixed.

Strangers
  • Nefarious Vizier can't force alignment changes in alignment locked characters.
  • Lantern Spirit draws cards from the correct Adventure Deck.
  • Teleport now works correctly when cast via the Grumpy Wizard.

Spaces/Terrain/Places
  • A 13-15 roll at the High Temple awards 1 Strength and Craft when you have the gain 1 Strength quest.
  • Planeswalker no longer allows players to teleport to squares that have been moved or removed.
  • Preventing life loss doesn't prematurely end the City of the Ifrit encounter.
  • Town Square no longer crashes if all cards in the deck are burnt and no other cards are in play.
  • Pawnshop should now be able to handle concealed iteams (Bag of Carrying etc).

AI
  • AI should be smarter with how it uses the Alchemy spell.
  • AI should be better at evaluating chances of winning combat.
  • AI less likely to alchemise wanted posters with Assassins Guild ending.
  • AI Spy's evaluation of which Characters to Shadow improved.
  • AI less likely to try to change alignment during Lightbearers.
  • AI valuation of Sunshield improved.
  • AI better evaluates taking a quest from the Portent on the Crown of Command.
  • AI should no longer use Hopper when it doesn't need to.
  • AI Devil's Minion teleporting evaluation updated.
  • AI should no longer place Terrain cards on the same space type (e.g. Desert Terrain on Desert space). (*)
  • AI no longer gets stuck using Conflagration when other Characters are immune to magic.
  • AI crash caused by it having Barrier whilst certain combinations of spaces have Terrain changes now fixed.

Other
  • No longer able to burn completed warlock's quest
  • Players who miss a turn after rolling a 1 for movement can now move the Reaper and/or Werewolf regardless.
  • Player on the Crown no longer ends their turn if the Merchant evades a Dragon during the Pandora's Box ending.
  • Evading life loss no longer negates 'in addition to' effects when defeated.
  • Issue with claiming dead player's discarded spells causing loops resolved.
  • Cards that offer menus (Enchanter, Pixie, Cerberus etc) no longer have disappearing card art.
  • Lycanthropes now kill opponents when the Blood Moon ending has been triggered.
  • Cards now return to their space if you have clicked to view cards on space.

Misc.
  • Problem where turns occasionally save mid-move now fixed, all turns will reset to the start if saved and reloaded.
  • Unpurchased expansions and Characters show as available to purchase instead of coming soon. (*)
  • Colourblind mode now introduced in game. This can be found by going to Options > Advanced Options and toggling the mode off. This is a quick fix solution that keeps the Stat numbers white at all time so they contrast better - for the Dragon expansion we will research this problem further to find better solutions.
  • Rare instances where new players to join an online lobby not sharing their expansions should now be fixed, the host should have access to all expansions owned within the lobby.

(*) - these are things that have had fixes but need comprehensive testing, if you see thing still wrong with these things please let us know.
