Over dit spel

Fight off hordes of monstrous mutants created from a strange cataclysmic event in the new tower defense game, Prime World: Defenders. Join a group of exile treasure hunters who have ventured into the capital of an ancient empire, vast with mystery and danger.

Prime World: Defenders merges classic tower defense gameplay with collectible card mechanic. Your towers, your spells, your traps - all are magic cards, that you can collect and upgrade. You'll have to develop your own strategy, because you'll get your random set of cards after each battle.

Freeze, burn, poison, explode and slash countless enemies that will try to stop you from gathering artifacts of old kingdom. Choose your cards carefully, play them strategically and expect some heavy resistance along the way – from small and almost harmless mutated fungi to powerful giant goblins and nagas.

Did we mention? In addition to story-driven single-player campaign Prime World: Defenders has randomly generated missions, newly added endless mode and New Game Plus!

Great game, upwards of the top of nice tower defense games, however, the devs of this game abandoned it on Steam, they dumped all thier paying customers in favor of a tablet F2P version that is both updated regularly and (of course) Pay to win and full of microtransactions. So, if you want to play it, just go play it on a tablet and refuse to pay anything, the game will still be higher version even if you don't spent any money. But, on the moral side, just skip this AND the tablet version and go play the many other nice TD games. I suggest Gemcraft, Defense Grid, Ancient Planet and quite a few others. Don't support Devs like these.

Prime World Defenders is a good game but it does have the annoying remnants of a free-to-play system that make the game a bit irritating at times. You unlock towers and spells by progressing through the game, like many other tower defense games, but in order to upgrade those towers you need to get duplicate 'cards' and combine them. You get random cards from beating randomly generated 'grinding' levels and from buying booster packs. You can get common towers easy but the rarer towers (the ones that you really need to perfect some levels) will elude you for a good portion of the game. Eventually you will max out everything and then the game is really enjoyable although easy at that point.

Each level has two challenges that encourage you to play in different ways and after beating the game once you unlock a harder difficulty to really test out your skills (think new game +). The towers and enemies are fairly standard by tower defense...standards but I didn't really have a problem with that. There are boss fights every few levels that require a bit more strategy until you unlock a tower that absolutely shreds bosses to pieces when upgraded. Some kind of infinite survival map would have been a good inclusion, there are 250 wave survival maps when you finish but with a decent enough strategy you can easily beat them with minimal effort.

Overall I'd recommend the game if you don't mind grinding a bit in the early/mid game to get the towers you need to upgrade.
