Patch notes for version 1.0.121

The patch that you downloaded today has a few bugs fixed reported from the earlier version.


  • Gold and unlockable pins are now shared in online coop
  • Loot modes: now you can choose between “free for all” and “round robin” modes. These modes affect loot. Free for all makes loot available for everyone (default) and Round Robin mode makes loot specific for every player. My buddy Syrneth implemented this, so maybe he can post more info about this later.
  • Multiplayer drops increased by number of players: more players, more loot.
  • Mojos on the ground will now stay on the ground a lot longer. They will still disappear after a while, but this time has been increased (from 10 seconds to 100 seconds).

Bug fixes:
  • Screen resolution problems (GUi didnt display correctly on resolutions higher than 1080).
  • Ghoulified enemies could sometimes damage the player.
  • Russian text: the letter "б" (only the small letter) has a weird spacing before and after it.
  • Fixed a bug in quest 3 where the player didnt receive experience after finishing the first level.
  • Added two scrolls that were missing from the library.

  • Translations updated.
  • Fixed support for other gamepads. Some gamepads still need emulator to work perfectly.
  • New voodoo doll added into the library.

Please give us feedback about the gamepad update. If you could not play with gamepad, try it now and tell us if its fixed.

Version 1.0 is here! we are so happy about this! Please give it a try and give us feedback.

There are plenty of ideas for new content and updates (free, no DLC or similar stuff), so keep an eye on this forum and our web for information. At this point is fairly easy to add new Loas, mojos and game modes.

We are thinking about organizing a small VS party in the next days to celebrate the release. Is anyone up for that?

We want to hear feedback and comments from you. This community has been awesome so far. You have helped us find bugs, improve gameplay features and you have translated the game to several languages (some languages still need to be finished and might have pending text still in English).

The game plays very similar to a more expansive version of Binding of Isaac, but instead of using a keyboard to shoot projectiles, players utilize a mouse. Full Mojo Rampage is a rogue-like game that takes place within the confines of the Voodoo reality. In this realm only the most powerful rites and powers can provide a safeguard against evil. Dying is not the end, only the beginning to becoming a stronger voodoo soul!

The game includes several multiplayer cooperative and competitive modes to play with friends.

Key Features

  • Randomly-generated items and levels in beautiful 3D. Not two playthroughs will be the same.

    The Quests

    • When you start a new game you can select which quest you want to do. Each quest has a different story, goal and setting. The quest map and each individual level is randomly generated, so you can replay the game and be challenged each time.
    • Quests include: campaign quests, daily quest, survival and survival unlimited.

    Customizing Your Character

    • After choosing a quest you will be able to customize your character.
    • In this screen you can choose a mask, a parent god and the voodoo pins you want to carry. In one of the last updates we added "Blessings" as an extra expensive buff for the current quest you want to play.
    • Each god has a set of spells that define how you play the game. There are 8 voodoo Loa you can unlock.
    • Voodoo Pins are very important. They provide unique bonuses that will help you in the game. At the beginning you wont have any pins unlocked, but by playing you will unlock them and with the gained gold you can upgrade them. The number of pins you can select at the same time will increase as you progress in the adventure.
    • In this menu you can also level up your character once you have enough experience. Experience is gained by exploring, progressing through the levels and doing events.

    The Dungeon Map

    • The dungeon map is randomly generated. The icons represent cemeteries, swamps, bosses, events, vendors and shrines.
    • There are many events that are quite fun and have some surprises, so make sure to visit all the "?" icons as those are special challenges for your current game.


    • Each level is randomly generated with enemies and secrets.
    • In future updates we plan to add some crafting or mixing options to customize your items.
    • Levels have doors to vendors, god shrines and mixing rooms: the more you explore the more prepared you are for the dungeons!
    • In this world death is around every corner, though do not fret! Dying is not an end, and rather only a means of becoming a stronger voodoo soul! Being a practitioner of voodoo has nourished your soul with immortality. As such, any gold and experience you earn will persist with your character through death itself. Use this gold and experience earned to buy new pins and the favor of Loa to progress through even harder challenges!

Em Full Mojo Rampage, você é um aprendiz de vodu, faminto por conhecimento, que serve às deidades vodu conhecidas como Loas. Ajudar essas entidades irá te recompensar com favores e confiança.

Macumbas à parte, o jogo é um roguelike, isto é, tem fases e objetivos gerados dinamicamente. O modo campanha é composto de 4 missões, e cada uma delas ao ser iniciada terá um mapa de seleção de níveis, onde o objetivo é liberar o caminho até a última fase da missão.

Além do modo campanha, o jogo possui também os modos missão diária (onde uma missão é gerada aleatoriamente a cada dia para todos os jogadores), e os modos de survival Noite dos Espíritos e Sobrevivência Ilimitada.

Como roguelikes em geral, o jogo é composto de progressões persistentes, permanentes para seu personagem, e também progressões temporárias, que desaparecem entre as sessões de jogo.

Com câmera isométrica, você movimenta-se utilizando WASD, e mira ao seu redor com o mouse, provendo uma jogabilidade com mira precisa, porém ao preço de uma movimentação limitada.

Quando entrar numa fase, você receberá de cada o objetivo da fase, e setas no jogo apontarão onde você deve se direcionar para completá-lo. De certa forma, é só cumprir o objetivo e ir para a saída da fase.

Outro detalhe importante é que os inimigos não ficam perambulando pela fase: eles nascem a medida que você anda pela fase. Na prática, é como se houvessem pontos de nascimento deles, e quando você se aproxima, eles aparecem espontaneamente, portanto cuidado onde você se mete!

O jogo possui um estilo visual muito interessante, que mistura algo macabro com algo infantil, contrastando sempre fundos escuros e sem cor com efeitos bem coloridos. O resultado final é muito agradável!

A música do jogo também é bem temática, seguindo uma linha de terror a lá halloween, apesar de ser enjoativa, e nas fases em especial, ficar muito de fundo.

Paradoxalmente, o trabalho com o som ficou mais interessante: você sempre usa-os para identificar ameaças (como homens-bomba), e dá uma boa dimensão no jogo, apesar da repetição.

Os diálogos dos Loas e do próprio personagem costumam ser engraçados, mas infelizmente não há nenhuma dublagem.

O jogo possui modo cooperativo online e local para até 4 jogadores, mas o funcionamento deles é bem diferente.

No modo local, apenas o primeiro jogador poderá usar feitiços e itens: os outros jogadores são como fantasmas, que possuem vida, mas não possuem nada mais além disso. A tela entre os personagens é fixa, portanto é impossível se afastarem demais.

Já no modo online, o cooperativo é completo: cada qual com seu personagem, nível, stats, alfinetes, máscaras, e com a liberdade de andarem separadamente.

Cansou de cooperar? Sinta-se livre para jogar os modos competitivos: Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, King of Mojo ou Capture the Flag – todos com suporte a até 8 jogadores!

Full Mojo Rampage deve ser o roguelike mais completos que já vi, pois incorpora uma dificuldade muito boa, progressões permanentes e temporárias, gráficos agradáveis, estilo próprio, além de um humor ocasional. E claro, muita macumba!

Enfim, não há o que temer: Full Mojo Rampage é um excelente título, e sendo um jogo bem híbrido, deve ser apreciado por quem curte tanto ARPGs quanto jogos roguelike, pois une o melhor dos dois universos com maestria

Para quem curte/curtiu o The Binding of Isaac, esse jogo se torna obrigatório...

*Review edited for release... still nothing but good things to say about it!*

There is tons more I could say about this game and how much I enjoy it than what is in this review, so free to message me on Steam if you have any questions. I highly recommend this game if you're looking for something new in your roguelike/dungeon-crawling experiences... it was *the* most polished Early Access Alpha I had ever played, and is even better now that it is released.

Very nice and consistently styled, even in the character screen. The choice in what a friend of mine put as "playful yet macabre" is spot-on, and a very nice change of pace from other roguelikes (not that those are bad, but FMR is a unique breath of fresh air).

Everything from the music to the effects is lovely and fitting to the visual theme. Moody, atmospheric, ethereal, magical, mysterious, spooky... that is what comes to mind while playing and it's a joy to listen to! Some of the tracks really remind me of the greatness that was the soundtrack for Psychonauts (my favorite game of all-time).

Smooth and intuitive when using the keyboard+mouse (controls are customizeable as well, so you can play however you want). I don't play games this twitch-reliant with a controller, but feedback about it in general has been very positive.

The randomization, pin/item/relic/Loa/leveling "build" system works really well but isn't so random that you're screwed if you get bad drops. Since your core setup is however you want to do it (and very easy to experiment with), there is enough consistency to do theorycraft and gameplay mastery... a *very* nice change from the *completely* random roguelikes. I love randomization, but it's nice to have something to play that is a good mix of random and static.

The variety in gameplay is great, giving a pleasurable dose of strategic fighting and completely chaotic shmup-style play. Because FMR has this kind of variety, you never really get sick of it. Just when you're tired of one style, you roll a level that's totally different. I'm over 125 hours into it as of this writing, and I'm still not even close to be tired of any of it.

Progression is incredibly satisfying, but I'll speak more to that below.

While the game is most commonly categorized as a roguelike (or rogue-lite), I see it as a mix of roguelike, bullet-hell/shmup, and dungeon-crawler. It's a fantastic mix, and adds a ton to the scale and variety of traditional roguelikes.

Some may find their intital play sessions to be too easy, but the difficulty curve is not even remotely a cakewalk later on. If you feel it's too easy, just keep playing... later difficulties/quests are *much* harder and varied. You'll soon find yourself cursing (joyfully) at failed runs. Because of this, I do *not* consider this game a rogue-lite... if anything, it's just one that isn't ultra hardcore in the start and eases you into the insanity. A perfect game to introduce someone to the genre, but has enough hardcore craziness to keep even the most experienced of players happy.

Difficulty in this game is where the real progression and satisfaction resides. Leveling/etc. is a nice way to ease the player into the various mechanics of the game, but the meat of it all is in the variety of difficulties you unlock. Don't expect to be carrot-and-sticked the entire time with pointless leveling and unlocks... instead, expect to get your satisfaction from mastering incredibly difficult situations that (in the later difficulties especially) require perfected playing skills.

Level modifiers, difficulties, level palletes, mission objectives, mobs (and their variations), bosses, items, Loas, etc. all have a great amount of variety already, and further post-release patches are planned which is just icing on the already delicious cake. I was already very happy with the content amount in the early alpha, and that has far more than doubled between then and release. Because of the amount there is, and because of how it's sectioned out between the different quests, you always have a ton of choice depending on your mood and a helluva lot to experience, master, and be surprised by.

A quick note: I am in the credits for the game for the QA work I was voluntarily doing (a nice surprise, so thank you devs!). I am not a developer or paid contractor for this game and have no bias in that regards... I just love testing, and the community was silent during a time when they really needed feedback so I stepped up. My review would be exactly the same even if I hadn't done testing for it.

FMR is a must grab on Steams summer sale, and here is my review on why.

Over the Top Games is the independent game development studio( w/5 game developers) behind the multi-award winning NyxQuest. Founded in 2008 and based in Madrid - Spain. FMR was released on May 8th, 2014. It has a Voodoo theme that works & characters are "cute". The game mechanics are solid and fluid. ( I used the 360 controller so can't give opinion on K & M ) I haven't had any crashes or lag issues at all. The development team is planning to release free content updates as well.

The music is a nice horror/fun mix from the talented composer Alistair Lindsay, for thosse that don't know the name he has done games such as ~ Prison Architect, LostWinds, Roller Coaster Tycoon 3, and even helped with the Rare classic Jet Force Gemini.

The game itself doesn't really hold a story ~ but buying this game I wasnt really looking for one. It's tagged as a rogue-like game but I find it a lot more forgiving than most true rogue-likes, as others have called it and I agree it's more rogue-lite. Don't let that discourage you if like games such as Binding of Issac ~ Rogue Legacy ~ Risk of Rain you'll find easy to understand gameplay with a fair amount of depth to it. Character progression & customization that you keep even after death. Boss encounters provide a fun challenge. Loads of items to find while running around. FMR has solid 3D graphic style, lighting & shadow effects all seemed solid.
