Coming Soon: Delia

Trained by the finest in the world. Enchanted by the chaos of the battlefield. Captivated by the deaths of her foes. When the stars align on Thursday, July 14th, nobility's finest daughter will finally arrive to the world of Vindictus. Get a sneak preview of her abilities below and claim your Delia Coronation Pack today!

Meet Delia, Nobility's Finest
Delia wields a two-handed Bastard Sword, a heavy blade whose size is only exceeded by Hurk's massive Greatswords. The young princess has been trained to use the full length of the blade with each swing, using her momentum to plow through her foes.

Vindictus' classic Combo style forms the backbone to Delia's offense. She uses Normal attacks to disrupt her foes, using the long blade to cleave through the enemy horde, and then transitions into a Smash attack to send them flying with a massive blow. Her Rising and Falling Comet Smashes form the pinnacle of her style. After three Normal attacks and a Smash, Delia can either immediately carve an arc before her with the Rising Comet Smash, or wait for a moment, get in position and bring her massive sword down with the powerful Falling Comet.

Delia is not without some special attacks, however. After building up SP by bisecting a few Fomors, Delia can unleash powerful attacks, including Ion Thrust's quick thrust forward, rushing forward and driving her sword through the fools before her, or Full Moon, where Delia dances through her foes, the Bastard Sword carving open her path before finishing with one massive swing.

Delia's most unique ability is Zenith. Summoning the vast power granted to her, she can explode with power to boost her strength to its limit. As Delia becomes a true juggernaut of power, each swing will hit harder, her skin will become as hard as diamond and her sword will move faster than ever before! The only downside is that the spell has a habit of sundering her own armor, leaving her weakened once the spell fades.

New Outfits

Delia brings new outfits to Vindictus as well, with two gorgeous ensembles linked to the stars themselves. Karok's even gotten into the act with his own unique addition to the shop. With new packages, new hairstyles and inner armors and a special leveling package for nobility's finest daughter herself, there's going to be something for everyone!

Delia Attendance Event
When Delia arrives, we'll be launching a new Attendance Event, challenging you to log in as many days as possible to get the best rewards possible, including Lubber's Sketchy Enhancement Coupons, Permanent Storage Chest Expansions, 2000 AP Capsules, Exquisite Enchant Runes and more!

Delia Registration Event
Remember to sign up for your Coronation Pack with the Delia Registration Event! This free package contains everything you need to get Delia on her feet as fast as possible, including four pieces of jewelry granting a total of +700 ATT, +800 DEF, +3 Balance and +10 Luck, as well as a free Storage Chest Expansion Ticket and a special Tiara to let Delia start her campaign in style.

Lochlann: Plains of Corruption Update

The war against the Fomors has shifted to the offensive. As the Royal Army leads the charge against the Fomor horde and pushes into territory long lost to humanity, the path ahead grows darker, more bizarre, more... wrong. The next chapter in the story of Vindictus has arrived with the Lochlann: Plains of Corruption update!

Welcome to Lochlann...

Long ago, Lochlann was a thriving town, filled with humans on an expansive plain. Then the Fomors came, driving the humans out of their homes. But now, ever since the Fomors took claim over Lochlann, something else has taken hold, corrupting the very earth and spawning creatures not meant for this world.

While some have their own theories about the corruption that has taken hold on the Lochlann Plains, the truth may only be found with hard work, an open mind... and a lot of luck. Those who have completed the story through Lugh Lamhfada should report to Marrec in Colhen to restart the story!

New Raid: Infected Eochaid

Deep below the plains of Lochlann lies a monstrous beast, Eochaid. Over a dozen meters tall, it was a fearsome opponent long before the seeping corruption that has befallen Lochlann entered his nest... but now it has been transformed into something else entirely.

Face off against the Infected Eochaid in Vindictus' newest Raid Battle. The powerful strikes from this beast would be enough to fell even the strongest warrior, but the corruption has infused it with terrible new power. With this newfound power, it moves effortlessly obliterating foes with powerful magic and summoning minions to spread the corruption further. Only a coordinated team of mercenaries can hope to evade his strikes and disable his powers long enough to slip in a finishing blow.

Those that manage to slay the beast may claim Eochaid's Essence, a rare and mysterious substance connected to the corruption itself. Brynn in Colhen remains his inventive self, however, and will be able to transform this essence into one of two new powerful earrings, Innocent Cry and Innocent Tear.

Enchant Scrolls in the Marketplace
With the Lochlann: Plains of Corruption update, we've lifted the restriction on selling non-Permanent Enchant Scrolls on the Marketplace! Instead of throwing a rare but unwanted scroll at the nearest vendor for a paltry sum, you're now able to list them on the Marketplace and find the scroll a good home. The scrolls will still expire once purchased, so make sure you use it promptly!

Urban Punk and Angel Sets

The Plains of Corruption have brought in a wealth of new items. With two new outfits in a modern style, a new type of Enhancement Stone to boost your odds, a pair of high-value packages and more, there's plenty to enjoy with the outfits below!

See all the new items in the Urban Punk and Angel Sets post.

Returning Warrior Events

As you venture out into Lochlann's corrupted fields and beyond, you're going to need all the backup you can find. An experienced warrior at your side, a powerful spell enchanting your blade and... the finest earrings glinting in the starlight. Three events arrive for the month of June, here to help you grow stronger as the story of Lochlann unfolds.

Find out more at the Returning Warrior Events post.

Season 3 - Episode 4 Update

Lost to history and wielding the mythical sword Fragarach, Lugh Lamhfada seeks retribution against those who have forgotten his glory and disregarded his honor. Will you have the courage to face the lost hero and at long last put his spirit to rest?

Lugh Lamhfada is a powerful warrior, but he's no master swordsman. Between his own magic and the unfathomable power of Fragarach, he has no need for finesse in his attacks. He instead uses quick bursts of teleportation to surprise his opponents with overpowering blows. Lugh can also pin a foe to the ground, making them vulnerable to his attacks if not defended in time.

This is a TL;DR pros and cons list for the lazy. Everyone else, the full review is below.

-Decent graphics
-Interesting art style
-Unique character and world design
-INCREDIBLE combat system
-Interesting story and characters
-Wealth of content
-Decent endgame
-No game impacting microtransactions

-Poor customer support
-Could be optimized better
-Limited character customization
-Huge learning curve into lategame

FULL REVIEW: After playing Vindictus for 5 years, I think I'm qualified for this review. Vindictus is a hack-and-slash MMO made by Nexon. Normally, the Nexon part would put me off (despite the fact I also played Combat Arms for many years). But with Vindictus, they managed to achieve something special. As far as massively multiplayer games go, it is a unique experience. The engine is quite unlike any other MMO I've played. The graphics are polished and nice to look at, and the controls are simple and intuitive. This is helped along by the absolutely wonderful combat system, which plays more like Devil May Cry than a simple MMO. The amount of content is enough to keep any junkie going for a long time, with 10 different classes, a long, mostly well written story with multiple over-arching plots, and a thriving, pleasant community. The aesthetic is unique among fantasy games as well, being more akin to 17th century Europe rather than an over
the top fantasy world with sprawling glass skyscrapers and whatnot. The design in the characters and weapons/armour is less flashy, and more functional (with exceptions, of course). The cutscenes are few and far in between, which is fine by me. They are clunky and don't fit particularly well. The voice acting isn't stellar, either. Outside of cutscenes, none of the characters ever actually appear in game. Instead, when interacting with characters, a drawn portrait of them greets you. This is another unique aspect of the game that I enjoy. Their face changes depending on what mood they're in, and they look like believable people. Over all, Vindictus is a wonderful and unique experience that has stayed strong over the years, and will continue to do so.

Great game would love to play but Nexon hasn't learn this 2016 and people want to unlink acounts that they don't wanna use anymore so... yeah, customer support is just peachy. Its been 3 years since I can't get on the game.....Thank you Nexon

Easily one of the best Multiplayer, Action, Adventure game since its release in 2009. I have played this game off and on since NA release (2010). The graphics and gameplay still hold their own. The developers continually release new content and playable characters (including skill and equipment rebalancing). Players new to Action, Adventure games will struggle, but veterans will enjoy this fast action combat.

-PvP does it exist?
-Story is confusing
-NPCs make you leg it all over town
connection to other players is peer to peer
(meaning players with poor internet and weak computers will suffer in this game)

The only major gripe I have with this game is the god awful second password system, other then that its a flawed masterpiece with decent graphics(that lag like crazy in the hubworld no matter what your settings are, but perfectly fine everywhere else) and one of the greatest combat engines I have ever seen. despite its drawbacks, I would still say that this is an amazing game, deserving every bit of praise it gets.

Regardless of how old this game gets, I will always come back to it.

Vindictus continues to be in my opinion the pinnacle of what combat should be in an action MMO.
I still compare all new mmos to this. Black Desert made a good effort with its combat system but there's something about
the simple complexity of the LMB/RMB combonations you find in Vindictus.

Plays great solo and with others.
Bosses are probably some of the coolest I've seen.

Vindictus currently boasts 10 playable characters with more to come. This game is FAR from being done.
Most characters have a choice between 2 different weapons so you have more choices that initially apparent.

SUMMER is great time to get into VIndictus. Lots of events and occasionally a character release.

Concerns (I'll try to be objective)
-playbase fluctuates a bit but reinvigorates with major updates and new characters
-some ppl have connecting thru steam (I've personally had an issue connecting twice in my time playing thru steam)
-can seem repetitive (this is mostly due to grinding)
-RNG (item drops and enchanting/enhancing weapons/armor are not guaranteed. It's just something you get used to)

I could talk about Vindictus till I'm blue in the face. My suggestion would be NOT to be swayed away by bad reviews or the "concerns" above. Give Vindictus a chance. You won't regret it.

Alright, lemme get something straight. I love Vindictus and the sequel, Mabinogi (Which I might cover in a future review). They're great games, I play them for hours at a time, mostly on the NXLauncher. However, with the god-awful customer support I see constantly, and the recent issues with the Nexon Game Launcher, I can't even play this game any more. I've been looking through the net for possible solutions to it, but none work or have clear steps for what I should do. I cannot even log in through Steam now, and the NXLauncher isn't working either. It's a shame, I loved this game and played off and on with delight; now it's just a burden attempting to try and load up. AAAnyway, let's move past my personal complaints and get specific.

+Great Quality and Graphics
+Plenty of Hackin' and Slashin'
+Lots of Characters to try out with their own playstyle and weapons

-Customer support is garbage, you see plenty of reports on that everywhere related to NEXON
-Character Creation at start is also trash; limited options force you to eventually buy Karma Koin to get those needed hairstyle changes and dye
-Not much else to do other than Combat. You can cook and make clothes, but it's not really worth it when you can just go and buy what you want in the MarketPlace ingame

Overall, I'd say 5/10. I wouldn't reccomend it to too many people, but it suited me just fine while I could still play it.

Do let me know if I missed something good or bad; I would gladly edit and put it here.

TL;DR - Improvements abound from back when. Not without flaws, this is a definate play for anyone who likes action combat! Bring a friend!

After a long time of playing this game I can finally say that recently, I've found that they have had their ups and downs, but I whole heartedly recommend this game to anyone who wants a free, fun game to play with some hard core action combat!

- Cash shop items from revives to EXP boosts can now be purchased with AP (Skill points) which only requires that you play to earn.

- The grind is very VERY reduced from it's old standard, making it much easier and more enjoyable to level up and reach the end game. They've done well in reducing it.

- All characters are fun and have their own distinct playstyles. Choose the character you want, some are easier than others, but all are fun!

Play this with a friend and have a blast, or play alone, even raiding can be done alone with ease now, thanks to a new "Easy" mode they added. If you can't find a party for a raid, you can run it Solo on easy and SMASH the boss and move forward with your quests! Or, bring some friends and smash it on higher difficulties for more loot and experience.

If I were to take a step out and personally say something here, I prefer Vindictus over Tera. I do NOT PVP in either game, but I don't play either for that. I prefer the PVE (Monster killing) in Vindictus simply because the combat has more weight and meat to it. You can feel (Especially with bass) each strike.

I highly recommend Vindictus now. It's fun, it's free, and there's nothing against trying it! It feels that the developers are honestly trying to adhere to the market of today, and it's something I really appreciate.

If you want a score.

8/10 Really fun, great with friends, SMASH EVERYTING

As much as I play solo (and honestly I prefer it that way), past level 60 you're going to need help on the raids. While they are entirely possible to solo, they can be fustrating to learn, and extra hands makes the game A LOT easier. Thankfully easy mode is a thing, and despite the lesser drops from bosses on it, if you're like me and enjoy solo play, its a life saver.

I still find this game fun, and even more fun since I've fallen in love with Arisha, but if you plan on picking this game up expect a lot of solo play, or if you can, get a friend to play with you.

Just be prepared to grind for materials if you want to do end game raids because people can be pretty elitest

You could fill an olympic pool with all the mmos, free to play and otherwise, that have died since VinD came out in North America. VinD is still kicking, and there's two good reasons for that: 1) it's a great game, and 2) it has a great business model.

As far as skill based action mmos, no other game is even close to over the VinD experience. This game looks better in DX9 than half the junk coming out in 2016. It plays better than anything in the genre.

If you hate the cash shop in this game then you've never seen a bad cash shop. Frankly it's as benign as imaginable. If you never want to spend a dime, you sure can. But you probably should, and it will improve your experience, even if it doesn't make you stronger.

Some Cons:
There's no real PvP in this game (nobody plays it anyways), just competing against others to do more damage. If you have a bad connection, you're going to have a bad time. This game does not love potato PCs, or lag. The servers are held together by paperclips and glue.

I tried to enjoy Vindictus. Honestly I'm not sure there's anything wrong with it, mechanically. There's a diverse range of classes, lots of enemies to beat up, nice artwork, amusing physics. I just found it very boring. It made me want to play a cooperative Devil May Cry, but no such thing exists. The individual levels are very samey, the music is forgettable. The weapons are cool, though. I would certainly recommend it before other Nexon games, but that's not saying much.

This is in my opinion one of the best free to play online games of at least 2016. Vindictus is a really good free to play rpg on steam at the moment. The fact that it is multiplayer is cool because you can help or recive help from other people playing the game, the custimization in the game is amwesome the only thing I don't like all that much is that some styles and colors for your character you have to pay for and they aren't even permenat. This is mostly a positve game overall and I would suggest this game to everyone. One last thing if you don't have the "best" computer this is a good game for you the low setting in the game is still really pretty and runs pretty good! (sorry for my bad spelling)

I loved this game when I played it regularly. I have since moved on to play other games but I loved the combat and gameplay in vindictus. The costumes and customization was among my favorite in any game I've played and having pets was of course a bonus. I would play this off and on if only the community and the game economy didn't die.

Vindictus a game I've played in the past and continue to return in hopes of its improvement, only to be upset time and time again.

The game has great potential, but appears to be lacking in many aspects that make it a game I would recommend. My highest characters are nearing their 50s, and I've gotten that far with 3 different characters. This is entirely based off of my experience and the experience of others I have played with. I have participated in some endgame content such as dragon raids, which I found to be fun even though I died a lot, but I will not be covering that in this review.

++ Physics
++ Classic Hack and Slash
+ "Greater" Raids offer unique gameplay not seen as much in the Story

+- Fun w/ killing your friends via the environment
+- Spear Throw friend/foe (does no damage to friend)
+- Fluid and seamless depending on your specs, server, settings

- "Greater" Raids require 16 players to start
- Repetitive use of Skills
- Becomes more repetitive the higher your level

++ Limitless amount of AP (skill points) to spec every skill
+ Gold is an easily obtainable resource
+ Quests sometimes chain through completion (Doing one dungeon sometimes completes two quests)

- Storage is Limited unless you pay and a lot of resources are necessary for quests/crafting
- Linear Environment/Dungeons
- Linear Quest Line
- Linear Way to Kill Bosses - 1 Strategy is usually the most effective and used above all other strategies
- Bosses an enemies do not vary much every 10 levels
- Repeating the same dungeon more than twice - becomes more repetitve at higher levels
- As you level drop rates on items for quests become lower
- Upgrading is high risk or extremely expensive (RNG)

+ Titles

- Cannot View channel location of friends via friend list
- Cannot View location of friends on the minimap
- Cannot Search for Unadded Friends in Friend Menu
- Emotes are hidden need to be googled
- Marketplace/Guild Search appear to be quite slow and may be using Internet Explorer
- Inactive Guilds die, leadership is not transferred

Cash Shop

+ Some of the greatest quality and entertaining costumes and goodies excessible in the RPG world

+- Nexon makes money primarily from costumes and so it appears to have become the focus of the game
+- Almost every second patch has a new costume
+- Wealth of a player shines, people will take their time to oggle you

- Players more interested in costumes than the actual gameplay
- Overpriced AND Restricted relative to other RPGs (common in many Nexon games)
- A bum is still a bum if they enter this game, the costumes and cash shop content are promoted so much that many active players end up buying it and new players or those that cannot afford it feel pressured or distaste.

+ Controls are fair, supporting 3 modes

+- You use the same armor/weapon for most of the game

- Bugs take years to fix
- Sound quality is average
- Music is repetitive
- Monster cries, screams repetitive

Last thoughts:

This is a game you want to play with friends, preferrably join a guild or create one for the exp boost when you party together. This game a lot of perks to group play, but is not as rewarding to solo players.
