A – 1UP

“Croteam has succeeded on all fronts delivering a sequel that lives up to our steep expectations.”
8.5/10 – Worth Playing

“Fans of old school shooters will definitely find the challenge and excitement level are very high here.”

Owned this game since release, have the 4 CD's it came on and box still.
It's so much better then Serious Sam 3 as it does not try to take itself serious.
In my opinion it is the best game and most fun game of the series.
Funny Secrets all over, and Absolutely gorgeous to look @ 4k too on a modern machine.
The developers of this game should not of abandoned the comedic premise this game had and followed up with a 3 like this instead of the ugly and way to serious I think I'm Duke Nukem sam from 3.
If you gotta get a Sam game and can only choose one, choose this one.

Croteam's at it again with Serious Sam 2: "The most serious game ever".
The joke is evident immediately because this is the least serious game of the Series, the jokes are everywhere and their level is quite low, bizzarre situations are everywhere to the point you don't even care about them anymore.
The weapons don't give much news compared to the first 2 chapters (First Encounter and Second Encounter) besides some reskins and a couple novelties like the Bomb Parrot.
The graphics are colorful and playful and very pleasurable to the eye.
The story is linear and doesn't give much appehension over what's going to happen next, this could get boring after a while.
The gameplay is the classic Serious Sam one, besides some small variants given by vehicles.
Croteam gave up that seriousness/craziness balance of the first 2 games to go full-crazy with Serious Sam 2.
Suggest or not suggest?
It depends, if you liked Serious Sam: The First Encounter and The second encounter's stories, you probably won't like this game. If you loved the previous installments, you'll find yourself hating Serious Sam 2.
If instead you're going for a full-crazy, shoot-till-it's-dead-and-maybe-a-little-more kind of game which is colorful, quirky and nuts as it gets: have a go at it.
This game is not completely bad, absolutely, but it's absolutely out of the concept of the first 2 games which can unsettle a lot of people.
I'd give it a 7.8/10.
The answer is: Suggested but think about it carefully before buying

I bought this game during Summer Sale 2016 and i have to say this is one of the best games for Low Spec PC. The Graphic is very good. The Weapons are crazy and fun to use it. You got many ways to kill a enemy. There are lot of enemys to fight. Missions design are cool. The conversation is funny too and the best things are the secrets :D This is my new favorite game 9/10

Don't believe in what they say all the ♥♥♥♥♥ babies sayin that this isn´t a Serious sam, that this game don´t capture the true essense of the saga, that the graphics are ridiculously ugly.

The game itself can be very challenging, funny/humorous, etc, etc, etc. I tell this cause I complain how about the people says that this is trash :O!!! (yes... just for things like its toonish, Just remmember that Zelda beetween ocarina and Wind waker has a change in the style from being "realistic" to "Toonish" too, and still being a good game) I was played this game many years ago, in a Xbox, in that time this formed part of my chilhood, SERIOUSLY :serioussam: hours and hours playing this jewel (of the nile badum bass) these good ol' days, so here are my final words...

Enjoy the game, remmember the law of a videogame, the classic one "The most important stuff in a videogame isn't the graphics nor the story but the gameplay Do not trust in that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that just cry for being like is the game while talking in his sh&tty gameplays.

Heavily Underated

I will admit, some of the asthetics, like the villagers, are displeasing, but this feels like the logical step for a serious sam sequel to go in.

Gameplay is almost like the previous games but with a multitude of additional (or apropriately reskinned) enemies with some old enemies (like the arachnoids) being rebalanced for good measure. The addition of grenades allows combat to be more "tactical" since they're basically a second rocket launcher and vehicles bring some much needed variation to the combat.

If there is anything to complain about other than the villagers, it would be the new hitscanning enemies and some enemy spawnings being unfair.

As someone who has spent countless hours playing the first serious sam, I highly recommend this sequel.
