게임에 대해

When you, as a young boy, are dropped off to visit your uncle, you notice something’s wrong. First, he’s not there to greet you. Second, there’s the explosion that happened right as you arrived. And third, the house seems to be even weirder than you remembered it. Now, your job is to find—and ultimately rescue—your uncle, by using his newest invention, the Interdimensional Shift Device (or IDS), to switch between dimensions and solve puzzles. That sofa too heavy to move? There’s a dimension for that! Switch to Fluffy Dimension and that sofa is now light as a feather. Need to get up to a high ledge? There’s a dimension for that! Just switch to Anti-Gravity Dimension and things begin to float upward. Need to make things heavier? There’s a dimension for th—well, you get the idea. Switch dimensions in real time, work your way through the crazy complex mansion wings and rescue your uncle!

I have never really played a puzzle game besides portal, but this game was fun anyway! for my it was a unique and different experience (I usually play FPS's or RPG's). I like how you don't have to be a hardcore puzzle gamer for you to work out the variety of different puzzles throughout this game!

Another great puzzle game, themed heavily on Portal. You change physics around you to solve the puzzles. I've heard it described as "baby's first Portal" and that is a decent summary of it. The puzzles are a bit easy, though that doesn't take away from the fun. The doctor is very clearly based on GLaDOS, but John DeLancie does a wonderful job of voicing, and the script pulls it off pretty well.

If you like puzzles, physics, or Portal, it's worth picking up, especially on sale.

With Portal, finding the solution is challenging but executing that solution is easy. With Quantum Conundrum, finding the solution is simple but executing that solution is challenging. If you prefer solving problems over timing your jumps just right, you may not find this game all that great. It's still a fun, well designed game with an interesting mechanic.

If you're looking for the best and most fun portal-like game starting with a Q, this is it. The concept of changing mass, reversing gravity, and slowing down time makes for some really unique physics and logic puzzles. It also has first person platforming (which a lot of people hate) but that really wasn't difficult for me with a controller. As a bonus, the narration is done by John De Lancie who does a really fantastic job and has a great voice.

The DLC sadly, does not have narration and is just more levels for no good reason. It seems they had story ideas but they ran out of time. Luckily, the puzzles are well-made, even if they are way harder than anything in the base game.

And as a final note, this game has next to no advanced graphics options so if you don't meet the recommended specs, be prepared to have low framerate the whole time.

Pretty fun, gave it a go a few years ago and left it, came back to it and finished it within a few days, awesome voice actor (It's Q, how could you hate that) while the asthetic can get a little tired at times, the puzzles are pretty interesting, when you get the 3rd and 4th dimensions just woa....lots of fun

Definitely not the calibur of Portal or Talos Principle, but has its merits. Quantum Conundrum reuses a lot of environments and objects, but yields very entertaining first person physics puzzles and 10-year old science joke dialogue. Worth a runthrough for a small price.

Took me 4 years to get round to complete it, and was left disappointed. Originally devised by somebody who worked at valve, a team of designers and the amazing John D Lancie from star trek etc, what could have gone wrong? Well everything because the studio shut down one game later in 2014

The idea and gameplay is amazing, the idea of switching dimentions. Trying to copy the puzzle formula from Portal but partly succseeding and the other half knock-off from Portal

My main problem with the game is the story, throughout the game you are explained a 'super IDS' supposedly a upgrade to the glove your character wears to control dimentions. You dreams are shattered when the ending is played. Which everything comes down to a 20 second cutscene of nothing. A interesting story comes to a full stop as if the writer just got up and left and forgot to come back, which is very disappointing.

There is also DLC but after being so disappointed I decided not to waste time with it

The only good thing that came out of this is the desire for Portal 3 and the TF2 items I recieved when I pre-ordered the game

This is easily one of the best puzzle platformers I've played since portal and I put it only one notch behind portal. I thought the 4 dimensions were genius and found the puzzles entertaining. The platforming was pretty good and I didn't find it too hard as some negative reviews have said. Game length was around 7 hrs being the casual that I am but I'm sure you could be quicker. Got it for around €2 on sale what more could you ask for. Best money I ever spent. You like portal you'll like this.

This game is wonderful, When I first got it I was skeptical because of the bad reviews.
I can tell you that the game is FAR BETTER than I ever expected it to be.

The mechanics are wonderful, I havn't found any single level to be too difficult (not even in the weird platforming heavy levels, and I suck at platforming-anything!)

Uncle Quadwrangle (The crazy-♥♥♥ guy living in this weird-♥♥♥ mansion) Is a pretty good character, I mostly enjoyed the ocassional humor (which is basically the only reason he exists).

Overall, the game has one or two VERY VERY VERY VERY MINOR speedbumps. But none of them are in the puzzels or the games mechanics. I also found it fairly charming and entertaining (some levels were easier than others, but the shift goals are fun) :)

Buy this game if you want a wonderful bunch of mechanics and really well made puzzels. :D

It's like a sad Portal rip off, where its more frustrating than fun. I understand the puzzles, but a mix of sloppy controls and bad physics makes this timed platforming game a rough ride. Note I said platforming, not puzzle. Just read the main reviews to get the gist.

Fun little game that is remenicent of Portal. Challenging puzzles that make you feel good once you solve them. Story is okay but nothign special. Feels like it would be designed for kids, but may be a bit too complex for them. Might be more enjoyable with a controller, sometimes the keyboard controls are hard to use with some of the platforming elements. Overall, a good game.

I'd highly recommend it to anyone who is a fan of puzzle-platform games :)

What could have been a wonderful puzzle game is ruined by so many levels designed around sensitive platforming mechanics. I really gave this game a chance as it has a lovely concept for puzzles. But after my frustration level became just too much I uninstalled the game unfinished. I found myself in so many levels where I had solved the puzzle and knew exactly what to do but just couldn't pull of the complicated jumps or positioning that was required. Often I was doing a puzzle over 10 times and failing every time because I didn't quite make the jump or I wasn't quite standing in the right place. I knew what to do. I had solved the puzzle part. But I couldn't pull of the platforming aspect. If you like platformers and puzzles but really go for the platforming aspect than this really is a good game. If you like puzzle games like Portal but aren't the most agile of gamer in platformers, then I highly recommend skipping this title.

"Kinda like Portal but not as good."
That was the description I was told when I asked about this game.

And, I have to agree. The game has a professor character that tries to spice up the puzzles with commentary, but they're just not that interesting a character.
Estranged-Uncle-Genius-That-Loves-Grandchild-But-Treats-Them-Like-Dirt has surprisingly been done before several times, and this one doen't really stand out from the crowd.

The puzzles are fine - they fluctuate between boring and interesting, but, honestly, it just feels like there are too many of them (or at least too many that feel the same).

Further in, the game has an odd paradigm shift where it focuses more on accurate platforming than solving a particular problem. The main gripe I have here is that the jump doesn't allow for much mid-air adjustment. So, once you jump, you better hope you did it right or you're going to fall.
Also, there's a weird physics quirk where, if you're moving through the air and collide with anything you just stop dead and fall straight down - which feels off if I'm in a dimension where everything weighs next to nothing and should just bounce off me.

I don't think the Portal comparison is unfair, either. The reason why Portal just feels better as a physics puzzler even though this game has similar puzzles is that in Portal, if you need to make an adjustment, its instant. Just aim and make a new portal.
In this game, the dimensions mechanic is all about the spawned in items the game gives you to solve the puzzles. Meaning, if you mess up, you have to go back to the spawn tube to fetch the items and start over. Respawning the items resets all of them, so even if some are already in a spot you want them, if you drop one down a hole or get a bad bounce into a laser, you have to start all over.
Which just makes a tedious game feel like it drags on more than it already does.

Okay game. Get it if you really like physics puzzlers, otherwise skip it.

this game is my answer whenever someone ask me what my favorite game of all time is. stirring story, cosy stages, overwhelmingly entertaining puzzles, genuine humor and everything I look for havin' fun in a game. I wish there was a sequal for it. I had my best times while playin'. 4 different dimension supply a huge variety on complexity and not only that it has awesome gameplay trough with it. I always thought that could cause lots of improvement in game industry but it's been 3 years and yet all we got is "The Talos Principle". I really think developers should look up for this game and draw a lesson. that's the stuff we need more and more. I dont know what kim swift doin' these days but we need her back really bad zxzxzx.

I really wish there was a maybe. The puzzles are fun, but later on in the game this becomes more like a platformer and I have trouble jumping and hitting buttons in time to do the stunts which is frustrating. This isn't the Portal rival I thought it would be, although the first levels definitely fooled me into thinking it would be!

A funny and imaginative twist on a few interesting puzzle concepts put together. The dialog and humor are on key, very reminiscent of the type of science-based comedy found in the Portal games. Each puzzle is fairly well put together based around the few puzzle aspects. The puzzles revolve around the possibility to "swap between dimensions." Each dimension gives the puzzles a new 'dimension' that it can take on. Aside from the dimensions, puzzles are mostly button pressing and platforming based. A few points are rather buggy or difficult, but otherwise a fun game. The humor alone is enough to get this game, and it will keep you playing through. It's cheap enough to get now, or on sale, so if you like puzzles or good science themed jokes, get this game.

Q: What do you get if you cross Portal's wacky physics puzzles with a modernized, gorgeously realized Tex Avery-like art style, and add in a mad scientist voiced by John de Lancie ("Q" from Star Trek: The Next Generation)?

A: Well, if any of that description made you perk your ears up and drool, then you probably already own this game. And hey, the great thing is, if you absolutely hate any part of that description, you will probably avoid this. Easy!

It's a great game, and really, really scratches the Portal itch. The animations and artwork in the game are charming, demented and sometimes unspeakably cute. (I love the machines that barf crates! I love them so much!) De Lancie is suitably crazy, but not maliciously so -- he's just very determinedly absent-minded, that's all! The areas are filled with a nice array of collectibles, the game runs smoothly... I can't really find too many things wrong with this.

Well, except one: I'm stupid and haven't been able to finish the game yet. But chances are WILDLY in favor of you being much smarter than I am, and so you have nothing to worry about!

Adorably exasperating game.

Shortly:
Love a good cartoon? You're welcome :)
Love a good puzzle? Close the page :(

Pros: visuals and such: stunning design, not bad graphics, nice atmosphere and jokes, John de Lancie as Professor Quadwrangle, original story, price
Cons: actual gameplay: pretty short (there are some DLCs out there though), not many good puzzles, requires more jumping skills than thinking ones, freaking tons of blur

The long way:
I love this game. Yeah, that simple, just as simple as the game is. It has nice design, good 3d-cartoon-like graphics and jokes which are really good (well, sometimes they aren't, but nothing is perfect in this world). The main problems are the puzzles and length of the game itself - I've run through it in ~6 hours, but I haven't got 100% completion though. Now about the puzzles. They are simple as well, but that's not good this time. You won't find any really hard-brainsmashing-cool-etc puzzles in this game - all of them are considerably easy. Also, this game has a lot of platforming. I like this, but you may not if you're looking for a brain challenge.

PS: I'm sorry if my English is bad, it's not my native language.
