This game is a classic. Years after it's release, it is still one of the best, engrossing game which makes you nostalgic. The combat is so fluidic and the story is itself is very good. The game has it's own problems of common camera misalignment, but when in doubt over whether to buy this game, you have my recommendation.
9/10 from me.

The game that changed my life forever. This masterpiece has it all:

- Amazing Story. (The plot is just a marvel.) 10/10
- Great Graphics. (I still can't believe this game was released back in 2003.) 10/10
- Fantastic Music. (The whole soundtrack was stunning. Perfectly scripted for every situation and utterly magnificent. Stuart Chatwood quickly became one of my favorite music composers.) 10/10
- Charming Voice Acting. (Yuri Lowenthal's voice alone was enough for the top score. The whole adventure is so beautifully narrated, so full of great ideas and outright perplexing figures of speech...) 10/10
- Addicting Gameplay. (A great mix of combat, acrobatic free-running and a some tricky puzzles.) 10/10
- Character Progression. (The game constantly updates the player with new powers, weapons and even clothing.) 10/10
- Diverse and Unique. (This game has some of the most beautiful surroundings I ever seen. Lots of unique enemies and locations to discover.) 10/10

This game is pure gold. The characters not only look amazing but they also feel... Alive. Totally different, each with it's own moral standing and their way of thinking. There is this good feeling when playing this game. Both the Prince and Farah are behaving as natural as it could get. They are very distant at the beginning, unmoved, cold. But as they make progress, they develop this feeling of mutual respect. Later on they become good friends. Joking and taunting each other in a very loving way. Check this monologue here:

"She said my love... I know she did. I didn't dream it... at least I think I didn't... It's quite natural really, her Kingdoms' conquered, she has nothing, no one to protect her. She needs me! I can see it in the way she looks at me. All I'd have to do is... Reach out and, take her hand... And she'd be mine! Why am I talking to myself ?!"

I have beat the game at least 5 times. Don't mind my Steam playing time. It was before I had purchased it here. And I don't regret a thing.

This game offers and unforgetable adventure. If you haven't still played it, do it. The best game in the franchise.

The platforming is excellent but the combat only serves to break up the platforming elements and to buff the game length. Regardless of that issue this game is a favorite of mine and my favorite in the series.

Ever since I bought this game for the PS2 back when it was first released, this game is still one of the best games to play for PS2 AND PC. Fun puzzles and it is not too challenging, at the same time you have a dagger that can take you back in time, slow down enemies, and even collect sand to make you stronger. Another cool part is, it's in HD. The graphics are awesome and way better then the PS2 version. This game has it all and I recommend this game to anyone who loves adventures and puzzles.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is a 3rd person action-adventure game released by Ubisoft in 2003. The gameplay of it largely consists of 3 components - combat, environmental puzzles and platforming. The puzzles are simple and are mostly things like pushing crates and activating mechanisms in the right order, but they still require enough thought to be satisfying to solve.

Combat is easily the weakest of the three - there's too little depth or challenge to it. It's optimal to just spam the same vault-over-enemy move, with doing some occasional blocking and rolling out of the way of heavy attacks. Later Prince of Persia titles make improvements to the fighting system and are almost just as much about monster killing, as they are about stylishly navigating the environments.

Thankfully, Sands of Time is built around the excellent platforming, with combat and puzzles being there just to break up the pace and add a little bit of needed variety. The player must run across walls, leap from pole to pole, execute well-timed jumps, avoid spikey pits of doom and a vast array of other obstacles.

The PC controls may feel a tad fiddly at first but they do the job, a gamepad isn't necessary. If the character does jump somewhere you didn't want him to, or you die, for whatever reason,
that is where the "rewind" mechanic shines. The the player is allowed to rewind time up to 10 seconds in the past simply by holding down the R key. It's a very useful feature and it's
perfectly tied-in with the story. Comparable to bullettime of the Matrix, it's something that was
unseen before in the medium and hasn't been done better since.

The game is narrated by the lead character himself, and his tale is memorable to say the least. Without spoiling much - you play as the son of King Sharaman of Persia, only known as the Prince. After conquering India with the aid of a traitorous Vizier, now a servant of Sharaman, the Persian army continues to Azad. There they present raided relics as gifts to their Sultan. The Vizier, being a shady fellow from day uno, tricks the Prince into doing something and all hell breaks loose.

Graphically PoP looks good, even after 11 years. Obviously it's nothing to write home about by today's standards, but it's hard not to appreciate the effort that went into all of the levels and animation. Sound quality is decent enough and Stuart Chatwood's music definitely compliments the theme of the title.

To wrap up - Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is a phenomenal game, still considered to be the best of the trilogy by many. Excellent platforming and storytelling make this classic a joy to playthrough even to this day.
