Well, given the fact, that most people here are not even serious about writing a useful review, I guess I will try out.
Well, as one could see, for 0,99€, you should not expect too much from a game. Also, when I first started the game I was horribly shocked HOW bad the game was. But If you invest more than 10 minutes of gameplay, you could indeed start to like the game. Not because it's overly awesome, not because the graphics are fancy or amazing and not because the gameplay is well balanced and worked out wel. In fact, none of these points is really a fact, but just a wish.
Graphics: Let's be honest, the graphics are "ok" at best. Weather effects give you a good atmosphere, rain indeed looks good on your helmet. But thats it. Textures look like games more than 7 years ago, animations, be it human or dinosaur just look sluggish and old and the lighting could be way better than it is.
As I said, you could say it looks "ok".
Gamemodes: You have tons of them, but to be honest, the minority is played and that for a reason. At least for me, the survival or conquest have been the most fun. As for PvP, the gun-Mode is much fun if you can aim good enough.
Gameplay: Well, it's a shooter. And the most basic "shoot everything on sight" you can imagine. Not really creative, no features which are unseen so far. Mix up Turok 2: Seeds of Evil with some Halo, CoD and Borderlands and there you go. Kill dinosaurs, cap some objectives, go back to base, equip yourself, repeat. That's all.
Sound: Well, I don't even want to say something about that, but hey, this is a review. Sounds are bad, guns sound wrong, many sounds are buggy and the soundtrack gets annoying over time.
Performance: Some lags, some glitches, some bugs, but nothing really gamebraking in my opinion. It's okay, but could be better.
So, we have an "ok" game here with "ok" graphics, bad sound, "ok" gameplay and lots of multiplayer gamemodes. What's the deal?
If you are looking for some fun and if you can oversee many of the points that make the game "just ok", you will have much fun and actually enjoy it for some time.
And let's all be honest. If you can get at least a couple of hours of fun by spending 0,99€, you made a good deal and to get everything in one sentence:
For 0,99€, ORION:Prelude provides the player with some simple, yet entertaining hours of mindless shooting and it can be indeed one thing: fun.
