Why Early Access?

“We launched in Early Access to build LABYRAINTH together with our players, and that is still how we work. Your feedback, bug reports and ideas have shaped every update so far, and we want the rest of the game to grow the same way.”

“We expect to stay in Early Access for at least one more year. We would rather take the time to finish Story Mode properly than rush the full release. We will keep this page updated as the roadmap becomes clearer.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will include the complete Story Mode, with its final levels, the fight against A.I. and the secret of LABYRAINTH.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“LABYRAINTH is fully playable today. It includes:
- Infinite Mode: endless online procedural labyrinths with global and friends leaderboards.
- Five difficulty levels, from Explorer to HardCore.
- A modular weapon with 16 components in several rarity tiers and 4 special ammo types.
- 10 types of traps, 10 types of power-ups and 10 alien enemies.
- 82 Steam achievements, controller support and Steam Cloud saves.
- Interface and subtitles in 12 languages.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No. The price will stay the same during Early Access and at full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We release regular updates and share our progress through patch notes, videos and screenshots on Steam, our Discord server and our social channels. You can also send us feedback directly from the game. We read everything, and many changes in past updates came straight from player reports.”

About This Game

Core of the Game

Labyrinth exploration: Escape endless, procedurally generated labyrinths in a fast-paced first-person shooter.

Online leaderboards: Compete with players around the world and with your friends: post your best times and climb the rankings.

Five difficulty levels: From Explorer to HardCore, choose the challenge that suits you.

Game modes: Infinite Mode is out now, and more modes are planned.

A.I., your enemy: Your real opponent is A.I., the alien intelligence that rules the world of LABYRAINTH. It builds the labyrinths and fills them with aliens, traps and more.

Game Objective

LABYRAINTH will test your reflexes, your memory and your aim. Your goals:

  1. Escape the labyrinths as fast as you can.
  2. Fight to survive: shoot aliens and avoid traps.
  3. Upgrade your weapon and improve your abilities.
  4. Compete with other players on the online leaderboards.

There are only two ways to lose: the time runs out, or the aliens and traps kill you. If you die in a labyrinth, you lose everything you found inside, so watch out!

Game Modes

  • Story Mode (Coming Soon): You are the protagonist. Fight your way through the levels, defeat A.I. and escape the world of LABYRAINTH. An offline single-player campaign with no leaderboards, where you will discover the secret of LABYRAINTH.
  • Infinite Mode: Endless labyrinths with ever-rising difficulty, for players who want a lasting challenge. Compete on the online leaderboards: can you reach a level no one has reached before?
  • Ranked Mode (Coming Soon): A weekly online mode with a fixed set of levels. Every week brings new levels and new rules, the same for every player. Players of the same rank compete on equal terms for the top of the weekly leaderboard, and the best players earn coins based on their final position.
  • Survival Mode (Coming Soon): Hold out as long as you can against endless waves of enemies while dodging cleverly placed traps. Upgrade your weapon and post your survival time on the leaderboards.
  • Creative Mode (Coming Soon): Build your own labyrinths, as big as you like, and fill them with the enemies, traps and items you choose. Then play them, share them with the community and challenge your friends.

Game Progression

Every level is a bigger threat than the last. Upgrade your weapon and your abilities to keep up, and hunt for the rarest weapon components to improve your chances of survival.

The faster you escape a labyrinth, the more coins you earn. You also earn coins by killing enemies and destroying traps. Spend them on character upgrades, new ammunition and new weapon components.

Endless Replayability

Each level comes with countless labyrinths of the same difficulty, and no two are alike. You will rarely play the same labyrinth twice.

We are G.U.F.O. Games, a small indie team of Italian developers. We built LABYRAINTH in our spare time, and it is our first game on Steam.
